  1. Past hour
  2. NSIAP. Bartstool guys go hard.
  3. I think this will just end up driving playoff expansion and networks incentivizing it. There is just way too much money to be made (i) marquee OOC games, (ii) auto-qualifier "play-in" games replacing championship weekend and (iii) expanded playoff inventory. After this committee there is no chance they piss all 3 of those buckets of money away. They will cut a deal that somehow doesn't significantly penalize the marquee OOC (likely more guaranteed spots for SEC/BIG).
  4. This team is easy to love. They play HARD. I just wish I could enjoy it without being reminded of what could have been and what was supposed to be. Fucking Nico.
  5. On the right track, but the problem is the scheduling not the postseason. There should be a standard, even if it's not bullet proof. Notre Dame played 5 Top 40 teams. Texas Tech played 3 Top 40 teams. We literally don't have enough data points to form a solid opinion regardless of the postseason format.
  6. They have to give Bama that buffer to lose and only fall 1 spot and not drop out, so putting them at 9 makes sense, ND can jump to 9 if Bama loses to UGA. Bama would still be in at 10. Probably should put Texas at 12 in that situation to avoid the Miami head to head argument. Then we just need to pray that Simpson breaks his leg in an ugly loss and we are in. Easy peasy.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if he woke up, forgot what year it was, and referred to him as Little Marco.
  8. Just saw that . . . any info on those other artists (other than KG&TLW)?
  9. but that is BS. They have a spot for the G5, so its the sports version of DEI.
  10. Addition by subtraction. csn we assume baxter is gone?
  11. Fan Duel playoff odds are strongly implying (i) Bama will be in regardless of outcome and (ii) Notre Dame is in as long as BYU loses (and out if ND wins). The odds strongly imply Bama at 9, ND 10 and BYU 11 tonight. And less strongly imply Miami at 12, Texas at 13 and Vandy at 14.
  12. WHEW. Spurs got lucky, but man this looks U-G-L-Y. Spurs ain't got to alibi.
  13. Robertson? Think it was mentioned here (or maybe the football board?) that he wasn't coming back.
  14. Yep. It's a huge fucking difference in the CFP committee's perception of Ole Miss as a playoff team. They might not go far without Kiffin at the helm, but their odds are a hell of a lot better with at least Weiss calling the plays. Ole Miss is in.
  15. ND has gone from -1200 to -375 to make the playoffs, just today. Texas has gone from +4000 to make the playoff to +2000. Looks like our odds are bad but improving.
  16. So the Texas vs. OSU 16.6M was the highest regular season number. The TV network execs are really going to hate losing that windfall of money starting next year. I guess we will see tonight if the networks have talked with the CFP committee. That's our only hope. My longshot call is they drop ND to 12 and put us at 10.
  17. I'm not too interested in running off a sophomore receiver who caught 50 balls for 770 yards unless he is asking for Cam Coleman money or something ridiculous. Our OC didn't even properly utilize him until October. This feels like some of the same commentary you heard about Worthy after his sophomore year (gadget guy, athlete trying to play receiver, inconsistent hands) and I'm glad we didn't run him off.
  18. I like AR but I think you need someone who can play better D for the playoffs.
  19. i heard an Aggy sitting behind me say.. "hey wait a minute, mattress mack does the same ad at Kyle Field!"
  20. That would be really sad, if it happened that way. I've always hated how much people misunderstand the way suicides work. The narratives about the victim having a lot of friends or a lot to live for or immediate plans to look forward to, all of that implies that the only people who commit suicide are loners and losers. That's pretty insulting, frankly, and it doesn't help anyone. This story is blowing up everywhere, so now that APD's under the microscope I think we will see a more thorough investigation.
  21. My guess is that they realized they might get dropped in the rankings if they didnt keep some continuity of staff and so they brought back Weiss because Kiffin was a bridge too far with the bad blood.
  22. Usually not the half to watch - that's when the team tires out and loses it. As much as this team is defending, they are not going to hold up through a whole game.
