That’s why I asked the question the way I did because the Ohio St game doesn’t affect your place in the SEC standings - but the Florida loss does. Georgia, Ole Miss, and Aggy all have fewer losses OU and Bama are the same as Texas No committee. No polls. Who does SEC send to the playoffs? -
Not that anybody cares what Loomer says any more, but I enjoy any infighting.

I disagree. The most interesting thing in all of this is the fallout around scheduling. It’s an existential problem for CFB because of the disparity in SOS created by NIL. -

maybe you are unaware so I will explain...it would be, if the committee didn't rank solely by number of losses. since that is what they do, we have to turn their words back on them to stop them ranking solely by losses and that is to hold a mirror up to them regarding their statement about high level OOC games. We will also talk about ND and OU and SOS's for other teams that are in the 50's and 60's. aggy is out of discussion because 1 loss v 3 loss is too much to overcome for morons who only consider the loss column. -

Riddle me this: If there were no committee and playoff participants were sent as representatives from their conferences, would the SEC send Texas? For this discussion, poll don’t matter - just the conference representatives - and you get to pick your format - 12 teams or 16 - byes or no byes - home games or neutral - I don’t care All I want to know is the number of reps from each conference and wether or not the SEC would send Texas. If the answer is yes, then make that your argument and forget about the Ohio St loss and all the whining about not playing those games anymore and instead focus on projecting your answer to this year’s playoffs and tell me which SEC team Texas should bump. - Today

Wife and I just finished this tonight. Had no idea that was Fern until I perusing IMDb tonight. She was terrific. Loved the show. Hawke was great. It really picked up the second half of the series. I’m not sure it was as strong as Rez Dogs but I enjoyed it just the same.

the problem is Bama beat Georgia at Georgia already. Georgia is the measuring stick in the SEC and they beat them at their place. Bama is in. Personally I think our only path is Tech beats BYU and someone on the committee has the balls to say 1. ND has an SOS in the 30's compared to our #6 2. Notre Dame beat no one in the top 25 except USC(Pitt should drop out), lost to the only Top 15 teams they played and we have 3 top 15 wins and the best game against the #1 team all season and it was on the road. why is ND in over Texas? the only reason at that point is the number in the loss column. Texas has proven they can beat top 10 playoff teams, ND has not. That said, ND is the one helmet that can override Texas. -
I think that was a different St Francis than the Red Flash from Loretto, Pa. Although I still think they dropped because of the money but, I think Monday night they played Xavier.

Ole Miss throwing a complete tantrum like they are so shocked is hilarious. Them having the audacity to call Kiffin a hoe like they arent complete whores themselves is impressive. These people hired Ed Orgeron. They hired The Reverend Hugh Freeze, one of the scummiest humans alive. They reveled In Kiffin's degeneracy from the moment he got there. It sucks for them that he went to their second biggest rival but they have no room to talk at all. They'd hire Sandusky for an SEC title. I like Ole Miss. I have several Ole Miss friends. In no universe are they any different than LSU except LSU's stuff is just on a bigger scale.

Putin Signs Law Raising Russia’s Value-Added Tax to 22% "President Vladimir Putin on Friday signed a major tax overhaul that will raise Russia’s value-added tax to 22% from 20% next year, a move aimed at closing the fiscal gap created by soaring military expenditures and falling oil and gas revenues amid Western sanctions. More small businesses will also be swept into the tax system under additional changes. The annual revenue threshold for companies required to pay VAT will drop from 60 million rubles ($732,000) to 10 million rubles ($122,000). Businesses have indicated in surveys that they plan to pass the tax hike directly onto consumers, who have already been strained in recent years by surging inflation linked to war spending. Economists, including those at the Financial Ministry, have said they anticipate a modest rise in inflation as the VAT hike takes effect starting next year. VAT is one of the government’s most important revenue sources, generating 11.5 trillion rubles ($148 billion) from January through October, or more than 38% of total federal revenue. Under the changes, select food products, medicines and children’s goods will continue to be taxed at a reduced 10% rate. But certain milk-based products made with milk-fat substitutes, such as processed cheeses and spreads, will now be taxed at the full 22% rate. Russia last raised VAT in 2019, when it increased the rate to 20% from 18%." I have no understanding of Russia economics and their income and taxes, but dropping the threshold for taxing small business' from $732,000 to $122,000 seems like that puts a lot of mom & pop type business under an onerous burden, much worse than whey have seen the past 3 years. Selling gold reserves and crippling small business' already struggling while cutting basic services to the general populace does not seem like a recipe for success. I have seen a lot of stories that virtually every sector of the Russian economy has been affected to the point that workers are not getting paid, are being furloughed and have no reason to work because of non-existent supply chains. There were rumors that unpaid shipbuilding workers may have sabotaged a new ice breaker/tug boat in St. Petersburg that was critical for moving large ships through the frozen water of the Baltic. The Russian economy ...

Silver Serpents were a much better band, but they went downhill for a good decade before merging with the Silver Jews to become the Jewish Serpents. Being that they are a prog-rock band based out of St. Paul, they are frequently confused with the Jewish Servants, the prog-rock band from Minneapolis.
