Games I wish we would schedule, solely for the road trip
UpperWestside replied to hornian's topic in Football
I don’t really think they care about that anymore, but right now they play on campus until they figure out how to get a bigger stadium. I would imagine that at the moment they aren’t going to bring in teams with a large fan base that will turn a home game for them into the road fans buying up all the tickets and making it feel like an away game. They need money and are far more likely to take money games from big schools. I enjoy going to their games, but their stadium is a makeshift one and smaller than almost all of the big high school stadiums in Texas at the moment. -

25-26 Dallas Mavericks Thread: The Season of Our Discontent
Fastbreak replied to Bozo_Casanova's topic in Basketball
The last tank wasn’t that great in retrospect. Lively was a decent asset with Luka. Now he is pretty much a negative. He has played in half the games, hasn’t developed any kind of shot and doesn’t have a rim running partner (the only thing he can do) any more. And…he is up for a rookie extension at the end of the year, which the Mavs should not do unless the number is very low. Like 3 years, 50 million tops. -
I am thinking they will be glad if Kerr walks away after the season.

Peeps… this is a quick five minute cruise of what the Russian newspapers are saying about the military and financial going on in Russia. I was actually surprised at the level of negative reporting on some of it. I had not seen this person‘s channel before, but I’m going to add it to my daily viewing because it saves a bunch of time (love Inside Russia, but Konstantin is ponderous) and covers more topics than Julia Davis and her excellent Russian Media Monitor.

So apparently Tucker gave Nick Fuentes a platform and it's causing a great schism in the Republican party. Also, I found this funny.

Yeah, we scheduled a layup game in Vegas this season… and lost.

If you can stroke the check, stroke the check. You'd likely pay more over the next 3-5 years in increased premiums, not to mention when Junior has another accident you'll run the risk of further complications such as even higher rates or general uninsurability. Used to be $3K was about where you hit the line of demarcation of where you'd likely pay that much in increased premiums, lost claim-free credits, etc. In today's market, it probably skews higher so if you can take the hit, I'd pay out of pocket and live to fight another day. Just as a reminder there is no deductible when it comes to liability. Is your car damaged? If you're going through insurance, the deductible will apply to the damage to your daughter's car only.

In the case of Mamdani, this is absolutely true. He's used communist rhetoric ("seizing the means of production", "Each according to their need, each according to their ability", wants government run grocery stores, etc.). His mom has said that he does not see himself as American. I'm done with cloak room posting here, but to say "none of those claims are remotely true" is ridiculous.

So, my question with regards to the “Duty to Mitigate” clause, is how far does that go? Does he have to keep looking for a coaching job, any coaching job, until he finds one? Is he forced to accept a coordinator job at a shitty place like Youngstown State or something like that, if that's all who's offering? How long is he required to make the effort? I mean, can they effectively force him to take a job that he deems beneath him and if he refuses, they accuse him of acting in bad faith? My guess is that ultimately both sides will come to some sort of settlement to avoid having to address those situations, but if they don't, then what?
