  1. Past hour
  2. To clarify, the mental gymnastics of the Mormon church does not require abstinence from all caffeine, only "hot" drinks like coffee and tea. An in-house lawyer for one of my clients is a devout Mormon and drinks about 6 Diet Cokes a day.
  3. yep. the SOS hit we would take would probably put us in the low teens which is still better than 3/4 of the playoff field
  4. Hung out with some old friends over Thanksgiving that I haven't seen in a while, and it's amazing how almost all of them simp for AI. I think they were surprised by my pushback, but I'd guess it's only because so few people around them have a strong and vocal anti-AI stance. One is a surgeon and says he uses AI at work to help him. Great! Using AI as an extra tool for healthcare sounds good to me. But in general, they're just completely amenable with ChatGPT-ing everything and haven't spent a second thinking about how it is horrible for arts/music/film. All of them also have kids in high school or younger, and can't see the forest for the trees with how it will negatively affect them. Likening it to Mad Cow disease is on point. I'm not hopeful, but how AI is currently being used/marketed is a lame party trick and people need to wake up quickly.
  5. Well he's right.
  6. Mizzou has sucked all year, no idea why they were ever ranked. They should have lost at home to Kansas.
  7. Pretty insensitive of her showing up in the Charlie Kirk thread showing off her Fulnecky when he only has Halfnecky.
  8. How do you win an ALR? Curiosity. Fun fact. I had an argument at the Texas Supreme Court some years back. The case in front of me raised the issue whether the ALR/whole revocation scheme violated due process. Sub issues were whether a DL was a sufficient right to merit due process protection and whether the appeal provided for in the statute properly led to the Supreme Court. The guy arguing it was a super-laid-back criminal defense lawyer that was pretty casual about the whole thing, but also pretty effective.

  10. When you give up before the fight starts you never lose!
  11. Justin Wells on Corey Wells: Auburn is working overtime to try and flip both Corey Wells and his brother, 2026 linebacker Chris Wells (three-star South Alabama commit). While Texas has not offered Chris, he does have a spot at Texas waiting for him and some offsets the blur lines between walk-on and scholarship player. Texas has a good chance to hold on but we're watching what happens with Auburn's defensive coordinator. If Alex Golesh retains DJ Durkin at defensive coordinator the road gets a little more difficult as Durkin has a solid relationship in place. With the expectation of losing Vodney Cleveland, Texas is working overtime to keep the highly talented 6-foot-5, 330 pounds Wells. He possesses significant upside at a position that is always a need.
  12. It must have minibuckers though. No P-90s. Not because they aren’t cool, but because I don’t have a minibucker guitar.
  13. Thanks for calling us Olds,,,,,
  14. Correct. The QB got hurt in the 1st quarter against Vandy
  15. They're never going to be good again. The Waltons ain't coming to the rescue.

  19. That's the way it's always been. We aren't making it unfortunately. The good news is I was actually going to be in Orlando for the Citrus Bowl anyway so lucky me, according to the most recent projections.
  20. Like mtg, she made a play for a position that would out last potus and she failed. The sooner they both get tossed on the dustbin of history the better.
  21. Posting from your parent’s basement in Lubbutt?
  22. All of you so hooked Longhorn football that you have thousands of posts on this board, go to games etc don't seem to understand that game production isn't meant for you. You're already so jonesing for your next fix that they don't need to waste time on your addicted ass. It's meant for the 18-34 demographic and the casual fan checking things out and it's meant to move them from where they are today to being a 55 year old curled up on the floor in a fetal position in mid July because the next 6 weeks seems so far to go and you got the shakes real bad. The 18-34 demographic loves all that shit. It's called marketing....yea it sucks at times. It isn't changing.
  23. Same for aggy - Mizzou was on their 3rd string QB making his first ever start
