Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

I only watched the top hudl videos for each at the links you posted, but I saw Cooper breaking more tackles. Crowell seems to have really excellent vision and cutting ability. Tends to break outside more often than not. He's better at seeking open grass as it were. The tackles I saw him breaking were arm tackles. To sum it up, he's better at tackle avoidance based on what I saw. Cooper was run up the middle much more in his highlights so it's a little murky interpreting the differences, but he's able to churn yards and move a pile after contact. He's also more of a North / South RB. Crowell uses every bit of the field to get loose. There also just seemed to be more traffic for Cooper to navigate through in his highlights. Not sure if the types of scheme and play calls had anything to do with that. It may be that Crowell's running style opens the way better due to his shiftiness. I'd be hard pressed to say which is better given the projection to the next level, but I think Crowell has better vision and composure as of now, and Cooper may need some coaching and film study to grow in that regard. But he is excellent raw material. He also looked good playing both sides of the ball. Focusing on one position should yield better development. -

why are you still here? you’ve made your opinion on him very clear, and nothing you’re saying anymore adds anything to this thread. you yourself just made a post about how shane gillis is your run-of-the-mill anti-woke comic. now you’re back in here like, “hey who said anything about him being maga?” well first of all you more or less did, and second of all, the idea that shane is a right winger has been the crux of this entire argument from the very beginning, so seriously- why are you still here, if not just to fan the flames? 100% wrong. he’s talked about this more times than i can count. jesus christ ztejas, be better than this. you’re usually not this embarrassingly uninformed. shane gillis hates trump.
-
Dude I don't know what your bright-line test is for some of those qualifications but Shane 100% voted for Trump if he voted for anyone this last election. All of those guys did. Which for me is fucking whatever - but he definitely does lean right. That doesn't make him a "hateful person" necessarily.

Dang sorry to hear that about your health. It also sounds like there is potentially really an honesty issue with the recruit. Maybe it’ll work out. Teens are often immature. -

I just assumed he was trying to hide the fact it was his phone and he’s one of those people who fucking goes bonkers with a label maker. -
“Earning it” would have been a far more effective slogan.

sitting at 1-4 in upperclassmen in RTCFP lost a last second game against a top 1000 player by throwing a pick in the endzone to win it last play of the game. I think i just need to go to practice mode and run about 15 different pass plays over and over and over until I have them down. Playbook sucks, there's 60 different shotgun sets with Texas and they are hard to get into the normal ones that aren't stupid screens and bubbles and gadget plays only. Then in away games, if you don't have the receivers and routes memorized you are just fucked.
-
what do you want me to do, go back and quote the 3, 4, 5+ posts i’ve already made addressing what you’re saying here? what about this is hard for you to understand? if you don’t think shane gillis is funny, that’s your opinion, and nobody here is telling you that you are wrong, or trying to “get you on their side”. however, as i have repeatedly stated, if you think that shane gillis is maga, that’s he’s a right winger, or that he’s a hateful person who punches down, you are factually wrong. it would be like saying that george carlin loved and trusted the government. its just factually wrong. how is this so hard for so many of you to understand? truly. it’s elementary school level reading comprehension.

I mean yeah dude you're preaching to the choir.

Those investments are little to no risk when the NBA will back the W and their losses no matter what. Don’t think anyone would complain about the WNBA eating what it kills and if they can finish the season in the black for the first time in their history the players deserve to share in that to some degree. They would have far leas backlash if they focused on what they have earned and grown the last five years instead of the line that they are “owed” anything. It’s simply tone deaf. They make more than the median US salary for about 4 months of work. Those with endorsements make far more. Their entire PR apparatus needs to be fired and restarted from scratch.
