  1. Past hour
  2. So apparently Tucker gave Nick Fuentes a platform and it's causing a great schism in the Republican party. Also, I found this funny.
  3. Yeah, we scheduled a layup game in Vegas this season… and lost.
  4. I know where he can get some lessons . . .
  5. Superhero is a real superhero in the Wives and the Stupid/Shit They Say/Do thread.
  6. Favorite Spur ever.
  7. If you can stroke the check, stroke the check. You'd likely pay more over the next 3-5 years in increased premiums, not to mention when Junior has another accident you'll run the risk of further complications such as even higher rates or general uninsurability. Used to be $3K was about where you hit the line of demarcation of where you'd likely pay that much in increased premiums, lost claim-free credits, etc. In today's market, it probably skews higher so if you can take the hit, I'd pay out of pocket and live to fight another day. Just as a reminder there is no deductible when it comes to liability. Is your car damaged? If you're going through insurance, the deductible will apply to the damage to your daughter's car only.
  8. Y'all are fucking awesome. Much appreciated.
  9. In the case of Mamdani, this is absolutely true. He's used communist rhetoric ("seizing the means of production", "Each according to their need, each according to their ability", wants government run grocery stores, etc.). His mom has said that he does not see himself as American. I'm done with cloak room posting here, but to say "none of those claims are remotely true" is ridiculous.
  10. Marv Kay Stadium tonight:
  11. i wasn’t walking out of a starbucks i was moonwalking back into a starbucks. and i don’t know whose dog that is. yeah, i steal dogs.
  12. So, my question with regards to the “Duty to Mitigate” clause, is how far does that go? Does he have to keep looking for a coaching job, any coaching job, until he finds one? Is he forced to accept a coordinator job at a shitty place like Youngstown State or something like that, if that's all who's offering? How long is he required to make the effort? I mean, can they effectively force him to take a job that he deems beneath him and if he refuses, they accuse him of acting in bad faith? My guess is that ultimately both sides will come to some sort of settlement to avoid having to address those situations, but if they don't, then what?
  13. I never bought that shit. They're so fucking old.
  14. Some amusing artwork spotted in downtown Portland.
  15. you've been scarce the last few days.....

  18. So sick and tired about hearing how brilliant that Fitlump is. Overrated!
  19. I eagerly await two Elorockets screwing up and colliding during takeoff, for whatever reason. Texas & Montana, boom! watch out Denver. No, I don't know anything about orbital mechanics. Work with me.
  20. i cant watch the kings any longer tonight. Denver will probably roll these turds the 2H.
  21. Would you say that for a third of the year, you spend several nights per week and at least one full day per week "gooning" over young athletes while in the company of other similarly afflicted men?
  22. They've been on my radar even before their 2nd edition. I have looked at their books, etc. and they feel like they "get it" like FASA did in terms of what they make available to players. And they are living in modern times - you can buy PDFs and print your own stuff out and pass stuff out to other players, and you can also buy the 3D files to print out your own figures, which I think is really cool. Granted, you can get all of the FASA stuff from the Internet Archive and print out whatever you need, and I'm sure somebody has 3D Star Trek Files floating around, but these are officially supported. And I've seen several of the FASA adventures adapted to Modiphius's system and apparently, they played well (FASA had some really cool adventures they sold, as well as fan stuff you can download). I don't think they have the starship combat stuff to the extent that FASA had (I know ship creation is pretty good), but I kind of think of them as almost separate games anyways since you could spend a lot of time moving ships around. It's tempting, very tempting. For now, we are going to dick around in-person with the FASA stuff we already have, and with the Steam tabletop simulator for the starship stuff (when we have to play online). We've talked about it a bit more this weekend though, and Modiphius is a consideration if we feel like FASA's game is bogging us down. Modiphius has the advantage of supporting all of the canon stuff up through now (even have Lower Decks stuff) which is a huge advantage, but also a huge disadvantage in some ways - FASA, you are pretty locked into TOS and the 80s movies, and early TNG, which can keep things simpler. Modiphius also has a lot better Roll20 support, in fact they have official support (even if it's dated, they've released official files/art for Roll20). Half of the people I'd be playing with, I would have to play remotely, so it's an option. I was in a couple of D&D campaigns run through Roll20 for 3-5 years, and it was easy for us to transition to in-person when possible (long weekends, holidays, etc.) and then back online after.
