  1. Past hour
  2. So now that deportations are happening bigly and by the millions in numbers nobody has ever seen before, when can we expect the housing market to cool and prices to come down to a reasonable rate for middle-income Americans?
  3. Maybe you and I are on the wrong side of this, but doubt it. Do you believe Giuffre statements or the emails from Maxwell/Epstein. I think she is highly questionable and lacks credibility. I think that will be proven when the release of her communications comes out in this next file drop.
  4. “You covering that tonight?”
  5. Um, we always loved Billy Idol. We have eternal gratitude for this video coming out when we were teenagers.
  6. Maybe his offensive line is included in the offer?
  7. Paulie Walnuts is definitely one of the best.
  8. I had no idea what this movie was about going in. It wasn’t what I expected but I loved it. When the Tom Petty guitar chord struck at the end, it made me smile
  9. “Miserable dickhead” is the easiest position to hold in a sports discussion. If you are wrong and the team wins, you can say that you are “happy to be wrong.” If they lose, you get to double down on misery and dickheadedness. This position requires no conviction, no risk, and no heart. It sucks the joy and love out of sports fandom. But I get it. Some people are just emotionally damaged and can’t allow themselves to invest a little hope into an outcome they don’t control. Some people are just contrarians and derive some sense of self worth from standing apart from the main fanbase. And some are just plain cowards. Fuck all that… sports are one of the few places in life where you get to experience solidarity with a group of like-minded individuals about something that ultimately does not matter. Save your fear, negativity, and cowardice for the things that DO matter and reclaim a little childlike joy by going all in for a sports team you love. This is one of the few areas in life that doesn’t have to be miserable unless you choose to make it miserable. So choose differently.
  10. I’ll say it. BYU isn’t being intellectually honest about it’s cult like culture with the Black athletes they are recruiting because they want a NC so bad in something. Be warned Goosby
  11. Putting this here because it addresses the current moral turpitude and I can't recall if we discussed it in July when it was published: From David Brooks (yes, I like to mock him, too) in The Atlantic "Why Do So Many People Think Trump is Good?" TL: DR--in an effort to promote personal freedoms, the modern American society has abandoned the sense of responsibility that its predecessors felt toward their community. This abandonment leaves individuals morally adrift and politics and (note, this is my addition) technology have failed to replace it in a way that settles that long-standing tension (between individual and community). This might not be the best thread to continue a discussion on it, but I've been pondering the failure of Team Democrat in light of the ongoing post-election autopsy (Crooked Media just had an event in DC and a panel of Hasan Piker, Jessica Tarlov, Tim Miller, and Simone Sanders Townsend and they couldn't move on from talking about this). Is it candidate, communication strategy, policy, etc., that accounts for the voters moving to Trump? (or, my pet theory, that every election now is a change election)? Anyway, I think the path forward, touched on by Brooks, is that the Democrats need to be building communities, i.e., organizing activities that aren't purely political on an ongoing basis. Run clubs, meet and greets, movies in the park, soup kitches, dances, concerts, T-ball leagues, etc. Spend all that fundraising money that otherwise is going to 30 min TV ads or Zuckerberg on reminding Americans that there is something more important that ties us together than an election every two years. The GOP already took advantage of alt-media podcasts, the "Come for the jokes, stay for the politics" or Rogan or whoever. The Democrats shouldn't be trying to mimic that and create it's own media ecosystem, it needs to think bigger.
  12. Bumped this post to say that I held off on adding more WWR. Happy about it, since it just dipped below $1.00
  13. Can’t wait to see you fuckwads in the game thread. I’m sure there will be tons of support for this team!
  14. The other day I lost out on a house in Westlake to a guy from Nicaragua who washes dishes at Chili’s.
  15. Who here wouldn't be a bit surprised if Elon assisted with this? https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/11/us-spy-satellites-built-by-spacex-send-signals-in-the-wrong-direction/ EDIT. I have no idea how the strikethru happened on that block of text, nor can I remove it. Shrugs.
  16. They both had simplified blocking schemes, shorter WR routes and moving pockets. Yeah, nothing alike at all.
  17. If one were to look up bitchassedness in the dictionary, this post would come up. Get a hold of yourself.
  18. 40% of this country will take it as a completely reasonable and realistic statement.
  19. The wrong coach got shot. Any news on his condition? Its been a minute since I saw that season but I feel like he was OK
