  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, @Goredho pretty much nails it on drop D. Besides the general heaviness, it lets you play chunky chords in riffs that you otherwise couldn't This is an old demo from 30 years ago when we were doing a bunch of drop D stuff for that reason.

  4. It's past noon. Im drunk. You act like I wrote for a living or something
  5. I put in 40 ft of metal edging hoping it will divert water flowing across the surface from a heavy rain. The hole had about the same water as the last time. Makes me wonder if that's the wet weather ground water level. Hmm. Some friends:
  6. Chip, your argument would have been a lot stronger had you not named Ole Miss.
  7. Pretty sure Les Miles was still in Stillwater, Dan McCarney was in a corn maze, and RC was still in the pasture, but otherwise looks pretty good…and Steele for Baylor. Can’t remember who was at Kansas before Mangino because Glen West was already gone by then…right?
  8. Maybe I'm kidding myself, but I expect blOU to be 5-0 going into our game at "The State Fair of Texas"
  9. It’s a relief when certain posters, especially BOW but others as well, disagree with me on here. It’s a better confirmation of how right I am than just about anything else. what’s funny is that with a lot of posters - futureman, helobious- Im fairly confident that it’s a bit or that they’re trolling. BOW definitely likes to troll, but he’s bad enough at it that you can tell when he’s being serious. I honestly doubt that hes that big of an asshole IRL, but on here hes something special. I would be honestly shocked if 90% of the people on this board dont remember Spike Dykes. First, because you’re all old as shit, and second, because his son is coaching at TCU.
  10. Wasn't that the game where the pirate left a fake game plan on the field after warmups for our coaches to find?
  11. Don’t need to be playing Rory back into this
  12. Oh, Scottie. What are you doing. Started that left and he knew right away it wasn't going to cut.
  13. Yeah, drop D is the gateway drug to alternate tunings. One thing not discussed yet, and why it (and drop C) tuning is used a lot in heavy, chugging djent style music is the ability to hammer on and pull off power chords on the 4th, 5th and 6th strings. You can play heavy power chord riffs in drop D that would be impossible as power chords in standard tuning.
  14. need scottie to roll in a couple coming home.
  15. You sure you’re a fan? You didn’t even mention the Arizona schools byu, Houston, west va, or central Florida. That’s half the conference!
  16. When I hear “Gage”, my brain envisions the name of a boy whose ancestry includes a trailer park.
  17. was just about to say Li is looking pretty cool and then "gaaaack"
  18. Careful what you wish for I guess. I didn’t think Beck was good- it just seems ballsy to push a guy out when you have total and complete abject shit behind him.
  19. "yeah, somebody picked it up, yeah that's what happened. he picked it up."
  20. Yeah- I assume everyone we signed the other team would have been happy to retain, I just wonder how many guys we got that would “top the list” from the other school. off the top of my head I’d say arguments for: Mitchell- Gerogia Makuba- Clemson Hero or Quinn- tOSU (I know they wanted to keep him/ I don’t know who else they’ve lost that they wanted to keep to the transfer portal) I suspect they would have liked to keep Quinn but when the other guy hit maybe didn’t want to spend those resources? Moore- UTSA DT- Syracuse. He was a Freshman AA at the hardest sport to recruit- they damn sure wanted to keep him- but have they lost anyone worse? Endies- Cal? Don’t know who else they’ve lost that might be more major but a projected second string AA has to be pretty high on the “ouch that hurt” scale.
  21. Peaky blinder with a nice tourney
