The_Great_Hornsby replied to Wulaw Horn's topic in Football
I think the team knows their season is on the line this week. I dont think anyone his overlooking Georgia to... checks notes... fuck around with an obese lady friend. -
Culled this guy out yesterday morning. 158# on the hoof.

Crazy fact from this pod. The EF had to be narrow enough to fit through locks. How narrow? It was only 75 feet wide. Shorter than the distance from home to 1st base
-
Probably just misspoke because FSU is unranked/irrelevant and Miami is in the mix.

I just like that he called out insurance companies. -
While it's not salacious, the most important part of this story is actually Epstein's financial dealings. Pedophile island was an MO, but the financial shit is probably how and why someone powerful was so motivated to take him out they were able to get to him while he was in federal custody and all of these things just magically lined up so that there's no video, and the guy who made a podcasting career out of revealing the truth even after being installed as FBI director is suddenly terrified to reveal the truth.

If we miss out on goosby and Williams, especially if both go to Duke, big misses. Need at least one -
I wonder how much Adelson paid him to go away and keep quiet that the trade was her idea?

Pretty interesting premise. But while we usually complain mystery shows aren't giving us enough info about what happened (Walking Dead, Lost), this one might have already given too much. Like some of the posts here, I can't stop noticing all the "wait a minute" situations caused by the hive's own explanation of what's happening. I'd kinda prefer it just be "zombie eat brains". But I trust it so far and it's good to see ABQ again -
No, if Esptein was alive Trump would have him killed. Which, you know, it sure seems like he did in 2018.

Wow strong public rebuke from a major intelligence ally https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/nov/11/uk-suspends-intelligence-sharing-with-us-amid-airstikes-in-the-caribbean Britain has suspended the sharing of intelligence with the US on suspected drug trafficking vessels in the Caribbean amid concerns information supplied may be used to engage in lethal military strikes by American forces. Such a decision – a rare rupture between the normally close military allies – would indicate that the UK does not believe the Trump administration’s controversial practice of sinking boats allegedly used by drug traffickers is legal. The UK, which retains oversight on several island territories in the Caribbean, has long shared intelligence with the US about the movements of suspect vessels travelling from Latin America, so they can be seized by the US Coast Guard.

Mack Rhodes said the ACC only has 1 signature non-conf win (Miami over ND) I guess FSU made it out of the ACC after all

As someone who has built their career in the data center space I'm a little conflicted on the topic. What I can tell you is that the future of data center power with be SMRs (Small Modular Reactors) but there are hurdles to clear before they are widely impemented. Data centers built with SMRs will be off of the traditional electrical grid.

‘Scary’: Joe Rogan Warns America Is ‘On the Way to a Bona Fide Civil War’ https://www.mediaite.com/media/news/scary-joe-rogan-warns-america-is-on-the-way-to-a-bona-fide-civil-war/ Not quite sure exactly what he's saying based on the article. We're going to have an "over-correction to woke, far-left ideology." Um, isn't that the core of what MAGA has done since Trump hit the US political scene. And I also really love how Rogan uses the Kirk killing without acknowledging that road goes both ways, my man.

A worthwhile observation about money, but be careful of post hoc ergo propter hoc. Xs and Os looked bad early because of poor execution. Plays were there. I'm not arguing Sark's perfect. I do argue the performance I named. I stick by my assessment of us being overrated to start the year. The main point of my post was about who would we get to replace Sark who would certainly improve on what he is doing. Who would that be? I've noticed over the years that many people don't think that far ahead. Several top programs face that problem now. Who's next?
-
Game is so damn good. Can be funny, heart pounding, so much to do. Should be game of the year
-
I mean yes, and GT absolutely did, but that was weeks ago. I'm not disagreeing with the new ranking. Miami would probably be favored by close 7 over GT on a neutral field. I'm saying they had to have heard the criticism last week as nothing that happened on the field could justify the flip flop. I mean we all know this but just further proof the committee can just kind of do what they want week to week without logic.

Y'all realize that if Epstein was alive, (1) Trump already would have pardoned him because "he was treated very unfairly, maybe more unfairly than anyone but me," and (2) appointed him special envoy for children's safety or something like that, right?

I don't think it's time to hit the panic button just yet. They're .500 and Curry and Horford have missed games. They lost Looney who was pretty much their only big worth a shit last year and a tremendous glue guy. Quentin Post and Trayce Jackson Davis (who has also missed some games this year) aren't exactly putting any fear into anyone. The big question with them has always been health and size. They haven't had a ton of either this year. Even at full strength, they are one of the smallest teams in the league. That Hartenstein/Chet combo was always going to be a bad matchup for them and now they get French Vanilla tonight. All I know is that I wouldn't want to face a fully healthy Warriors team in a playoff series. There are a ton of dudes on that roster with lots of playoff skins on the wall. They are just going to have to figure out how to bubble gum and band aid themselves into the playoffs. Utah, Memphis, NOLA, Sacramento and Dallas look like they are destined for the bottom. I don't thinking making the play in in the west is going to be as daunting as it originally seemed. But it's still way early....

The Dallas Stars 2025-2026 Season Thread: We can haz cup?
Skipper replied to Longhorn_Fan68's topic in Other Sports
Yeah, not many questioning that trade at this point after he started slow post trade. And given recent contracts looks like a great deal for the Stars. -
Other than that, how is it going?
