  1. Past hour
  2. https://www.nokings.org This is probably ineffectual but can’t hurt. There will be mass protests on 10/18. Everyone on this board should consider attending. If there are tens of millions, and if they’re louder than ever, it may give these motherfuckers pause, or at least inspire opposition leaders to act more firmly. My opinion is that it’s too late. But I will still attend.
  3. yeah that’s what i said.
  4. It's the Jimmys and the Joes not the Xs and the Os.
  5. I canceled Hulu, but have Disney Plus on a different account and can't figure out how to cancel it. When I sign in, it shows my profile for a moment and then switches back to saying "Log In". No way to access my account or subscription settings. God dammit.
  6. “David Anthony Burke, professionally known as “d4vd”, is a popular, 20-year-old American singer and songwriter. He was born in Queens, New York. D4vd began releasing his music on audio platform Soundcloud and posting his songs to his YouTube channel in 2021. The first music video he posted was a song titled Romantic Homicide in September 2022. As of Thursday, the video has had 179 million views on YouTube. The audio of this song was released in July 2022. A snippet of the song went viral on social media platform TikTok: “In the back of my mind. You died. And I didn’t even cry. No, not a single tear.” D4vd also shot to TikTok fame with another song titled Here With Me, the video for which he released on YouTube in November 2022. As of Thursday, this video had 244 million views. The lyric from that song, which went viral, was: “I don’t care how long it takes, as long as I’m with you, I’ve got a smile on my face.” The singer is currently on tour, performing in cities across the US, United Kingdom and Europe. He performed in Minneapolis on Tuesday.” https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2025/9/18/who-was-celeste-rivas-the-missing-teen-found-dead-in-singer-d4vds-tesla is this a case of life imitating art? I remember the case of a man who was convicted of murdering his wife on the beach (he claimed a random stranger shot them both—his wound appeared to be self inflicted) and he had downloaded the song “I used to love her but I had to kill her” right before she was killed and the state used that is a piece of evidence against him in court. Anyway things seem to be breaking pretty fast.
  7. I'm responding to you Only so much time in a day, and frankly most of the responses i get are the exact same and aren't really indicative of people wanting to have a conversation as much as they are interested in making flawed judgements of my character and childish name calling.
  8. Yet another consequence and sign of End Stage Capitalism.
  9. MLB hates fans who live closer to Denver and KC than to the Astros, but yeah, the bigger point is that there are still multiple platforms with which to get your sports fix that aren't through the namebrand media outlets. For now. And Star Wars content, y'all probably know that shit frontwards and backwards, but I wouldn't know where to start looking for it away from D+.
  10. SOFT ASS CULTURE
  11. The 40 probably. Go for it if it's short yardage, but Sark is doing it at midfield and I think even our own 45 or so. As far as kicking the ball in the end zone... say from the 50 or their 45 yard line... any decent punter should be good enough, and the team should be practiced enough to kick a high punt that someone (us or them) fields inside the fifteen, hopefully at the ten or five yard line. No return. (And that close in, the punter should be able to angle it OOB.) They may fair catch a high punt at their fifteen, but more likely the ten, and if the coverage team is good enough, you get 'em back at the five or the two once or twice per game. That's money in the bank for our D. And the kind of rush we can put on punters... how about a safety or ST TD (to be distinguished from an STD) every game or two? That's as "all gas" as throwing a three yard pass and hoping the ball isn't dropped, or tipped or intercepted by a defender expecting a quick throw. Punt the motherfucker.
  12. My congresscritter, yay! She's pretty good on this stuff and doesn't take a lot of shit - that said, you'd be hard-pressed to find a safer seat, which does make it easier. Glad she's doing this. "Shadow Government" is a good definition and one common in parliamentary systems.
  13. MLB hates hometown fans watching their own team, it's wild
  14. Yep. D4vd was a star on the rise. I hadn’t heard of him until I saw the news article the previous week about a dismembered corpse found in a Tesla he owns. But he was collaborating with Crocs on a new shoe project which his involvement has been shuttered. I cannot imagine what happened but it feels like shades of Gabby Petito unless someone was borrowing his car and he was out for town a long time. Still could be the case. There has to be ring footage that they can collect but I don’t know how useful it may be. It’s hard for me to think he wasn’t involved but I’ve seen stranger cases where the original person of interest turns out not to be. It could be someone staying in the house or something else?
  15. What did England do to deserve that?
  16. I’ve gotten used to this such that it doesn’t piss me off any longer, but there’s no fucking reason to make it larger, and I may end up restarting my anger at it knowing that they changed turf and didn’t remove it/move it behind home.
  17. i think if one thing has been established, it's ctj's ability to identify roster talent. and a decade after kenny hill laid waste to south carolina, we drank all the bourbon that charleston had to offer and i proclaimed jake spavital a plug and play genius . . i am simply going to say i think collin klein is very good at his job and mike elko needs to figure out what the fuck is going on in our back 7. that being said, literally nothing could go wrong from here on out for the ags.
  18. Very cool!
  19. Were Kimmel's comments more or less horrifying than this?
  20. Agreed. Not bad and along with Kneeland, probably will be our "run stuffing" DE's. You may be able to spin him down to DT when in pass rushing mode. He's not a star and probably here to play 30ish snaps a game when he gets in game shape.
  21. Yes, that is definitely one way you can read that quote. If you’re looking for reason to take offense, you can read it as Jimmy blaming MAGA. The other way to read it is that MAGA was blaming others over the weekend, which is true. Every time there’s a tragedy, we all sit around and hope that the crazy person wasn’t like us. Some of us do it loudly, latching on to any rumor that confirms it. Then when we finally know who the crazy person is, we lay blame at the feet of anyone like them. It’s incredibly shallow thinking
  22. I've done it for 6 years for baseball... for different reasons of course; but the execution would be similar.
