Ok as somebody who feels very strongly that the best G5 team belongs in the playoffs I am still kind of blown away they put two of them in there. Was that really necessary? Especially as neither was unbeaten and combined for one top 25 win...against North Texas. What the hell happened there? They just didn't want to touch the Notre Dame vs. Texas vs. BYU thing. Lame.
-
They play easy ass schedule. More practice won’t do anything. Just means more prone to injuries prolly
-
Totally get the sentiment , I get the feeling cdc is going to wait until we see pending playoff changed before making any big moves. Declining a bowl game just needs your practices which only hurts your chances next year

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Full Roster Weaponization

Yes I'm aware. We took one guy this year. -
Let's test this theory. Without looking (I know you'll cheat) who won the citrus bowl last year?
-
as a fan I care for historical records, top 10, bow wins, I just realize it won't be best on best and won't be comparable with the 2 teams as they existed during the season.
-
Especially when you have teams like KState and others who made 6 wins but don’t have enough players to field a team and must opt out of a bowl. Many teams are on their heels bc of the coaching carousel and their HC being poached but cannot participate in a bowl. Notre Dame just needs to be forced to join a football conference or they can fuck off. No more special preferential treatment for you!
-
I enjoy every second of Longhorn football I can get
-
So we can skip past the "you're a pussy, what a bitch" comments. Just answer honestly. If Arch Manning or Colin Simmons tears their ACL in a bowl game that causes them to miss most of (if not all) 2026 is the juice worth the squeeze? All to say "we beat Michigan"
-
Because they were lazy and just went off polls.
-
Fucking finally someone with a little sense. Elite people/teams/programs don't adjust their effort or level of play based on circumstances. That's the thing that separates great/elite from mediocre and good and it's the ONE thing Texas is missing - a culture of never EVER letting up.
-
I didn't laugh once I don't think (only watched through Update) but on the bright side, I'm finding myself ridiculously attracted to Ashley Padilla now.
-
We should do the same…but instead we’re all talk. WERE GOING TO CANCEL UPCOMING SERIES!
-
Let’s get to 2-5!
-
No program with a high profile should schedule Notre Dame going forward. Let them rot playing G5 competition and P4 bottom feeders.
-
Everybody but 3 teams in the last 4 full seasons has a Georgia problem.
-
maybe the ND band and cheer can play some flag football against another team's band and cheer.
-
That's some solid bitch made hoes. All because they didn't make the CFP and they think they're special? Maybe don't lose back-to-back to start the season, and maybe consider joining a conference, dipshits. Also, you might want to get a real schedule instead of playing the likes of BC, Navy, Boise St, Purdue, Arkansas, NC ST, Syracuse, Pitt and Stanford. That's some shameful scheduling and that's what happens when your players are playing below their level. They get complacent, and when you lose you take your ball and go home at the end of the season. This is why you aren't better.
-
This is so pathetic. The CFP gave Alabama credit for beating Tennessee and Missouri because they were "ranked at various points in the year" despite being unranked in the final ratings.

Sad to see that Tom Hicks passed away last night. I assume this will have ramifications for our athletic department. https://www.wfaa.com/article/sports/tom-hicks-dies-79-rangers-stars-dallas-texas/287-db3709b0-76d1-423e-aa30-6fc2317a5fe3

December is for Decisions | Team, Staff, Draft (Sunday 2:50 p.m.) By CJ Vogel *** The stage is set for the Texas postseason – Michigan awaits in the Citrus Bowl on December 31st. For the next 24 days, there will be plenty to watch and keep track of. Portal decisions will be, NFL opt outs will be announced and coaching turnover are all on the line ahead of the trip to Orlando at the end of the month. Of those NFL decisions that will be made is the future of S Jelani McDonald. A source indicated to me that there is a belief that McDonald could return to Texas for his senior season should the NIL number be competitive. McDonald and his camp are evaluating both options at the moment as you would expect. There is also a belief that a strong senior season could land McDonald firmly within the top 50 picks or so in the 2027 Draft should he comeback to Austin. Additionally, there is no leaning one way or the other regarding Quintrevion Wisner at the moment. That decision will linger a bit. Other decisions to keep an eye on include: Hero Kanu, Connor Robertson and Jack Endries. For now, I lean towards Endries heading off to the NFL, but we will see. ** On the coaching front, there will be turnover. Where and when, that I don't know. An additional positional coach to monitor is that of Chris Jackson. A couple of sources have indicated it is no slam dunk WR coach Chris Jackson returns in 2026. Jackson's contract is up at the end of the season. Right now, that is one worth monitoring.

Texas vs. Michigan - exciting college football JMU vs. Oregon - no shade to JMU but I hope Oregon demonstrates why the selection criteria is flawed. Lanning will probably channel his inner Yeoman/Jenkins.

Harold Fannin is pretty damn good. That 2 failed miserably.
