  1. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 weeks ago. Tomorrow she starts her treatment. She's been a wreck ever since the diagnosis. I mentioned a few pages back how a friend of the family managed to nab us world series tickets back in 2017 after Harvey. Same person just came through for my mom, she's going to the world series tonight! Win one for my mom!

  3. Don't let facts and common sense slow you down here, Randolph. Many guys on this thread have been following recruiting, religiously, for longer than you've been tilting at the fucking windmills of trying to decouple ATM from UT administratively. We don't need the condescending spouting of "how to" from you or anyone else in regard to evaluating classes. No shit it isn't about when they sign, but how they produce. You presume to be the smartest person in the discussion by taking the position that typing that shit out is new information to the rest of us. While I find you entertaining in your own batshit crazy manner, I don't find you particularly intelligent. Save the recruiting education for the next tavern you find yourself in, when you can corner some poor bastard with a UT shirt on over a beer and drop every fucking platitude you wish on them. The 2019 class is panning out just fine, your idiotic position that Floyd and Brown count as failures notwithstanding. Shepherd wasn't highly rated. Wrong on that as well. He was a low 4 star ranked #338 in the country and ranked as the 41st best player in Texas and the 28th best OT nationally. He was a middling-ranked lottery ticket based on potential. Beyond that, in the early days of the class, there are 9 guys playing regularly, whether on STs or on O or D, or 2 of those groups - RoJo, Smith, Sweat, Adimora, Jacoby Jones, Juwan Mitchell, Washington, Owens, Gbenda. Whittington will be when he's healthy. Tillman was before he was hurt. RoJo, Smith and Sweat are showing early signs of being stars. They're justifiably redshirting the OLs and many of the defenders. They have a chance to have a hit rate of better than 60% regular contributors with high impact starters mixed in. There isn't even a vague notion that this class will not pan out, except in your silly constructed fantasies that you are now threadshitting on us here. As to your reference to Texas getting 2.5 in this game, you are mistaken and your entire position around that item is spurious as well. Get actual facts or shut the fuck up when you are preaching to the motherfucking choir.

  6. Anyone who in 2016 thought Donald Trump would be less corrupt than Hillary Clinton really needs to consider never voting again. They're just simply not capable of voting with the minimum amount of skill needed for Democracy to work.

I'm within ten feet away from the impending disaster, so I'll be a valuable asset to give you the most accurate account. The train is now less than a 1/2 mile away and closing fast. Be sure to catch my tell all next week to find out what happens next. Oh! And, I mean obviously, I'll eventually get involved and maybe do a signing and meet and greet. Oh, one more thing ... 20% off if you pre-order on Amazon! Anyway, not looking good for this baby."

  11. This is just one man’s opinion, but you guys are some crazy motherfuckers coming at RandolphDuke like this. You are fucking moments away from seeing him petition the state legislature to have you formally removed from the University of Texas in every possible way. He’ll have you scrubbed from the alumni database. He’s going to have your transcripts removed and disappeared, like Matt Damon in The Departed. He’s going to petition to have immamac remove each of you from the Surly system. He’ll have you censured by the governor himself. The state of Texas deserves better than The Posters United Against Randolph Duke On Surly.

  15. Wisconsin, LSU, Bama, and UGA all use it. A lot of really good defense from the last few years use a ton of 3 tite. It’s not a bad scheme, and it has some definite strengths against spread offenses. It has its weaknesses too, just like any other scheme. We’re just watching the scheme be horribly coached and called. Scheme/formation gets way too overrated by people. If you’re coached well, just about any scheme will look good. If you’re coached poorly, any scheme will look bad. Pretty much every single 3-4 defense has their DEs line up at a 4i shade. The distinction is that traditional 3 man fronts had all3 DL responsible for two gaps, whereas the 3 tite has each DE take care of the B gap, with the nose and an ILB covering the 2 A gaps. 3 tite also doesn’t necessitate not having a LB on the LOS. Most other teams, and even Orlando before he got to UT, do have a full time B-backer who plays primarily as an edge defender. Orlando should have gone back to this, IMO. The point of 3 tite is to control the A and B gaps to kill inside zone, which is a spread staple, so that teams couldn’t spread you out to run as effectively. We did this brilliantly in 2017 and had one of the best defenses in the country and may have had the best defense against spread offenses in the whole country that year. What we did against USC, Ok St, OU, Mizzou, etc. was really damn impressive. Since 2017, teams have made tweaks that a good DC could counter, but Orlando hasn’t figured out how to counter teams’ changes and is now so lost that the defense is a complete and total mess with no identity. A lot of teams have actually ditched 4 wide against because the 3 tite seems to get even better the more you spread the offense out and they’ve gone to adding heavier personnel to get better leverage/angles in the run game. OU and even KU did that to us. At this point, our defense is so poorly coached that we can’t even properly react pre-snap to motion and we’re just giving teams leverage before the snap. Not all defenses running the 3 tite have that problem. anyways, I really don’t care what scheme our next DC uses, and I’d be fine with getting a new DC who uses 3 tite as long as he’s a good coach, but I doubt we’d go with a 3 tite DC just because coaching changes often result in hiring the opposite of the outgoing coach. But acting like the 3 tite is a horrible scheme that could never work obfuscates the foundational issues with our defense. Plenty of good coaches make the 3 tite work extremely well. The other reason scheme isn’t that important is that even schemes that work well get figured out quickly by all the great offensive minds in the Big 12. Orlando killed it in 2017, then guys figured him out and he’s been lost trying to adjust for two straight years now. Having consistent success in the Big 12 as a DC is really fucking difficult. It’s why I’m interested in Bateman as a DC, even though his resume isn’t quite as impressive as others. He seems to be a thought leader in countering spreads and strikes me as a guy who’s a forward thinker that would be able to counter offensive adjustments made by B12 coaches.

  19. Here's the deal: Trump is a moron. He quite likely doesn't know any better. Hell, he probably doesn't actually know what a "lynching" is, he just knows we did it to the darkies a bunch and that's good enough for him. Lindsey Graham is different. He's not an idiot. He was born into a blue-collar family that ran a billiards club and liquor store. He was the first person in his family to attend college, and even though he attended USC (East cocks not West cocks), he managed to obtain a law degree and then serve as a JAG attorney in the Air Force for many years. He knows what a lynching is. For pity's sake, he's a white attorney from South Carolina. Fuck Lindsey Graham. (Fuck Donald Trump while we're at it, but that was assumed.)

  24. Oh for fuck's sake! He didn't say anything that should "frighten" a strong, confident, feminist sports reporter who feels entitled to be in a men's locker room. If those women were offended and "frightened" by some business office buffoon saying he's glad we have the best closer in baseball, then they shouldn't be in the fucking locker room. "I'm glad we got Osuna" wouldn't have "frightened" Ann Richards, it wouldn't have "frightened" Barbara Jordan and it wouldn't have "frightened" my grandmother. Why does everyone have to be a victim these days? Grow a pair gals! You're embarrassing yourselves. (If necessary, please move to the Unpopular Opinions thread.)

  32. Page 11 and 12 and to the end have the meat. 🚨Page 11 gasp inducer--> Taylor on Sondland: "He said President Trump wanted President Zelensky "in a public box" by making a public statement about ordering such investigations." Extortion. Blackmail. Trump only cares that a PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT is made by Z into Bidens and 2016 election interference, and to specifically state he "will leave no stone unturned." It's the public announcement that was so desired to use to manipulate the American public, not the outcome of any investigation occurring out of the public eye until conclusion. Trump is orchestrating 'black propaganda', a serious crime, by extorting Z to make a public announcement without disclosing Trump has anything to do with initiating it. Taylor goes into significant detail on several occasions to explain how he came to know hoe "investigations" meant Burisma, Bidens, and 2016 Ukraine election intereference. This treasonous corrupt fuckery by Trump is everything I already understood, just with proof. Get the fuck out you fucking piece of shit.

They also had to dress like them last night for the presentation. There was a boy that had chosen Jose Altuve and when he came to the microphone to announce who he was the whole crowd erupted in cheers and applause. it was pretty cool. Go Stros.

  38. Having difficulty distinguishing what is real or fake/biased information about Trump? Just go straight to the source - his Twitter feed. That will tell you everything you need to know about him: his lying, his immaturity, his embarrassing behavior, his bad policies, his bad execution of policies, his lack of a moral compass, his misplaced loyalties, his illegal activities, and his corruption. It’s right there in black and white, and if you can’t see that, then some self-reflection may be a good idea.
