New Idea: If you type something outside the CR that requires adding a "no CR" tag to it, then just delete the entire post and then punch yourself in the dick.26 points

Our top riser today, who has moved all the way up to #9 on the Cases-outside-of-China chart, is Iran. Iran used a million strong parade to catapult into our top 10. They're also sitting at #1 on the Deaths-outside-of-China Chart. Congratulations Iran. After the break, our Long Distant Dedication from a Cruise ship near Japan, to the people of Travis AFB.12 points

Mike Bloomberg running these ads is the hero we need. Mike Bloomberg running for the Dem nomination is the hero we deserve.9 points

Here they are, my family of Gretsches. 1958 Anniversary with original "PAF" Filtertron 2017 G6121T-62 Double Cut Jet 2007 G6120-1959LTV Chet Atkins 2011 G6199 "Billy-Bo" Jupiter Thunderbird limited run Note the 3 different bridges matched with the V-cut Bigsbys. I think I like the bar bridge on the orange one best. The space control bridge on the jet is similar to the original one on the Anny, but more comfortable to play. Obviously I need a White Flacon and a Roundup to complete this collection. And I was tempted to include the V since it sounds as awesome as a Gretsch now that it has the Filtertrons installed.8 points

I guess I don't get the waiting to see what other states do. I'm just voting my conscience and my conscience says Warren is far and away the best candidate. I don't care what other people think. My vote is for me and represents what I think is best.8 points

It makes the client feel special. It's a pain in the ass if you are on the hosting side but a lot of fun if you are a client. Anyways, I have no interest in hanging out at a Silicon Valley sausage festival with a bunch of nerds only to end up with the Chinese bat herpes.6 points

eh, sort of. it's more about what you do with the power, and what guard rails are placed on ability to wield it. by definition, bloomberg cannot be nearly as dangerous as trump without a mcconnell type of lapdog doing his bidding. he has completely eliminated the congress and their ability to check the power of the executive and has completely trashed the system and purpose of checks and balances. do you have any tangential evidence that bloomberg has the ability or motive to behave this way? trump doesn't suffer from any constraints. he's literally doing whatever he wants because he does not suffer from the constraint of the law that actually limits the power of the executive. he has surrounded himself with sycophants and yes-men, most of whom are ridiculously unqualified to hold the positions they're appointed to (see the dni as latest example). he has abused the judicial system to avoid all transparency and hide the fraud in which he's constantly engaged. he has allowed the senate to sit on bills that he and mcconnell aren't interested in moving forward on. your list, while quaint, is more of an aspirational "what could keep trump from being a truly great president", but certainly isn't a list illustrating that trump has been ineffective in wrecking the democratic republic he claims to lead. if you can't see the difference and the precedence of a mayor doing this, and the effect it has on the country, then i can't help you. this is apples and monkeys. that's not "the only thing we can think of", it's just the best example to explain why trump is not just a "four-year problem" for this country. what he's doing now and what he could "accomplish" over the next 5 years will be felt long after he's gone. that said, installing judges should never ever be overlooked. and presidents don't nominate judges that share every specific potential misdeed they might possess (bloomberg did stop-and-frisk, so he'll nominate judges that promote racial inequality!!!1). that's greatly oversimplifying it. think in broader terms. another trump justice will keep us unbalanced for a long time. this is a conservative/liberal breakdown, not a specific smaller issue breakdown. you can't be this naive about it. trump is currently destroying democracy. he's demonizing the press. he's circumventing the other branches. he's abusing the judicial. he's encouraging foreign interference. he's compromised our elections. he's selling out our country for personal enrichment and the enrichment of those close to him or those who can help him keep power. he's treated our allies like shit and changed the world's perception of america, while embracing despots and dictators who wish us harm. he's turned the doj into his own goon squad, and has overreached and abused his power in every possible, imaginable, conceivable way. i could go on, but i don't think i should have to. i'm not defending bloomberg. but he's not in the same fucking universe as trump. your little propaganda campaign needs to end.6 points

Tommy tells a great joke about ADD and Tourettes. He has both. How many kids with ADD and Tourettes does it take to screw in a light bulb? ................. ................. ................ ........................ Let's go ride bikes, cocksucker!6 points

Agreed. I was thinking of just driving home some points that were once hard to swallow for evangelicals and old, hardline conservatives. But either "Trump is fat, stupid and orange" or "Trump has a bad comb over and is a pretendonaire" works for me. Or just this picture with no font:5 points

If he can run for a 3rd term, so can Obama. And that would actually be super glorious for him to lose to Barack Hussein Obama, no?5 points

I remember when Case McCoy saw the molasses parting and his body derped forward and his skinny legs swerved and herped him through all the befuddled aggy like a rag doll marionette who had just taken a turn at dizzy bat. Good times.5 points

You don't get to do this when you have been saying Donald is getting 8 years long before it started looking like Bern is going to get the nomination. This shit is starting to remind me of trickle down economics. Just keep repeating that it will happen. Sanders can't win. Bottom line is Bernie leads in most states and he leads with POC, unions, and has a rabid core to fight in the general. I'm not a Bernie bro, but what the fuck do you "Bern guarantees more Donald" folks suggest? It's Sanders or Bloomberg. We saw what a moderate uninspiring Dem candidate can accomplish in 2016. Whatever they can hit Bernie with they have ten times more shit to hit Bloomberg with. People keep saying Sanders can't win and will ruin the down ballot vote while ignoring that Bloomberg is the worst possible option. He excites nobody and we have tried this gameplan already. I remember everyone here saying we don't need the moderates who switched to Donald to win, we need someone who will energize the base, but now that that person is emerging we've forgotten that idea.5 points

Bloomberg bought a bunch of billboard ads in advance of Trump’s rally near his hotel and along the motorcade route: Other billboards: Donald Trump cheats at golf. Donald Trump lost the popular vote.5 points

It's a thread to consolidate the sign stealing controversy so the MLB offseason thread and the Astros offseason thread can talk about the ghosts of baseball future instead of the ghost of baseball past.5 points

I'm ready for a Sanders vs. Trump general election. Bernie's "revolution" vs. Trumpism. Neither movement is going away until it's defeated. Let's do this. Get busy living, or get busy dying.4 points
