Overnight: Trump supporters hold a candlelight vigil for the President outside Walter Reed Hospital.21 points

Let me try to help you out a bit while you're busy confirming that you're not very good with math. You said the probability that any of the people infected as part of the White House outbreak would die is less than half a percent. That doesn't mean that each one has a half percent chance of dying. If 8 are infected and their death probabilities are all equal (to keep things simple for the example) then in order for there to be a 0.5% chance that any of them die their individual probabilities would have to be roughly 0.06% each. And how do you figure half are under 50? D. Trump is 74. M. Trump is 50. Conway is 53. Christie is 58. Tillis is 60. Jenkins is 66. Why do you just make up easily disproven bullshit all the time?21 points

Yes we played like shit most of the game. Yes the refs were jobbing us most of the game. Yes we deserved to lose. But this is what I’m most pissed off about: We’re trailing 33-29 in the fourth quarter, and Keontay Ingram has just broken a couple big plays by sprinting a combined 60 yards to give us 1st and goal from TCU’s 1 yard line with 2:32 remaining on the clock. All of the things I mentioned in the first couple lines of this post no longer matter. The game is now firmly in our hands. All we have to do to not lose at this point is either fail to score a touchdown or fumble the ball. And we have 2:32 and 4 downs to do the first thing. So let’s do it in the safest and most time consuming manner possible, shall we? If I’m the Texas HC, at this point I have our guys run up the middle 3x, utilizing the full 40 second play clock each time. If we score, great, if not, we remove 40 seconds from TCU’s chances of a comeback. I specifically instruct our ball carrier to NOT make any risky end zone stretches, because being “stopped” on one or two of these 3 downs is actually sort of advantageous here. In the event we get stopped on all 3, then we can try something clever and less predictable on 4th down. But nothing is more important than ball security on downs 1-3. Instead, what we actually did was hurry up to the line and immediately rush the guy who had just sprinted 60 yards and was probably a little winded. For some reason he stretches the ball out haphazardly as if this was the final play of the game and there was no alternative. Ironically, it WAS the last play of the game for us because he fumbled at the goal line and we never saw the ball again. But even if he had scored and not fumbled, TCU would have still gotten the ball back with about 2:30 left and timeouts to burn because we chose to snap the ball with 20 seconds left on the play clock. Even a TCU field goal at the end would’ve sent it to overtime. There was no need at all to do things the way we did them in the final few minutes. Our coaches need to have more situational awareness and trust our team to manage the game better than that. We have inexplicably played games like this every year under Herman against less talented opponents. All this is to say that Herman is not our guy, and it really sucks that we’re going to continue being mediocre for the years to come.19 points

He is who is he is. This was a patent Tom Herman game. Show up uninspired against a team that won 5 games last year. Start the game slow as usual. Lots of missed tackles. Struggle all game. Finally find something that works and take the lead in the 4th quarter. Immediately abandon everything that's working and call run, run, pass, punt to kill any fucking momentum. This has happened every game. He is "Turtle Tom". He likes to think he's a fucking tough smart coach. He's a pussy that turtles. Our team is a reflection of him. For fucks sake... just hire Urban.16 points

Can we get a good photoshop of Urban in Texas coaching gear and then buy out a lot of the cardboard cutout seats at the next home game? An entire section of UT Coach Urban Meyer would be better than a banner.15 points

A bunch of people in a vulnerable age group got Covid. Even if only one of them got it the chances are north of 1%. I realize you still think this is the flu, and that is because you are a fucking idiot.14 points

This is what gets me. The absolute lack of common sense. In the world of football, I’m sure Tom Herman knows plenty more than I do. He can run on and on about RPO’s and run fits and schemes and pretty much everything. Except common sense. When you get to the 1 yard line with 2 1/2 minutes left and you’re about to take the lead, you don’t go hurry up. You have Sam Ehlinger. You slow it down, make absolutely sure you’ve got the right call. And if the call is not “run Sam into the line 4 times” you have the wrong call. Herman has football knowledge. But it doesn’t translate because when called to make common sense moves, he can’t do it.13 points

What are you reading? Uh, Papers. Just my papers. You know, my business papers.13 points

Where's the fucking fight from Herman? He should've been screaming in the refs ears all game from start to finish. Where was he at the least getting an explanation from refs at the end with how that safety bullshit went and the extra second left? We see Patterson tearing the refs a new asshole and then they change a call in his favor. It shows your players that you give a fuck and you're fighting for them on top of that fact that you see it effect the refs calls for you favorably. Barking at the refs works. In all of these dubious officiating scenarios all we ever see of Tom is him hiding behind his sunglasses and mask and cap trying to turtle himself under the player's bench.13 points

I am still holding out hope for long term illness. he loses a lung or some other organ. whore wife freaks out and evacuates to Kazakstan to become Ms. Ackbar Oil whore. Some next level Jackie Onassis shit. Children try to donate said organ and someone accidentally eats its for Thanksgiving and then they have to line up another child Trump for another organ. Procedure goes wrong and they accidentally cut his tiny dick off. He loses the election in here somewhere. Whole family gets tossed into pound you in the ass prison where they can all finally have sex with each other. (...and then the Democrats come into power and reform the government top to bottom so this nightmare can never happen again). fuck me. almost choked on that last part. But ya'll know me. I would never wish death on anyone. We good. Ya'll homies be cool. We all made it through Friday. Sorry our football still sucks.9 points

UConn Tom sucks. And if y’all think our opponents respect “well UT is in Austin. Great school. Runs a clean program.” Ur nuts. They laugh their ass off when the beat us in “our house.” All the way home. We have plenty of great athletes but don’t coach them up. We expect to just OUT-talent them on the field. Fuck coaching. We will just win bc we are UT! I am proud of my degree from UT. This is no reason why we have to stay with Herman. We don’t have to necessarily have Meyer or a Saban type. But I won’t lose a bit of sleep if we do get Meyer and some of you cancel your season tickets out of principle.9 points

Went to my first game in 1977 and will always bleed burnt orange. But I’m getting old now and losses like these just take too much wind out of the sails. I wish I didn’t care so much, but I do. We can’t even beat TCU anymore. And man does it suck to live in Fort Worth these days. I just told my son that I’m sorry he has to witness this era of Texas football. He takes the losses a lot harder than I do. Damn.8 points
