  1. Fuck. You. Trump. I'm 47 years old and voted in my first presidential election. Normally I'm apolitical and apathetic to this whole process but I had to get off my couch and vote against this asshole. He is one of the biggest frauds ever foisted upon the American public. I have been embarrassed for the past 4 years that this narcissist windbag has been the face of America. Finally his day has come and it is such relief that we no longer have to put up with his bullshit. I'm so happy right now, its almost as good as 4th and 5. Hook'em and God Bless America

  3. Lets take a few examples. The FDA is hugely responsible for the price of prescription drugs. Can you honestly contend that regulation of drugs should be left to state governments? No. It is a complex problem that requires federal attention. It also needs to be looked at really hard again. Health Insurance is another. It's a fucking clusterfuck currently in no small part because the GOP completely abdicated and refused to work on a federal solution because socialism or some shit. Google, Facebook and others need to be regulated in some form or fashion, probably beyond what the courts can do to them. Wall Street, big banks, and high finance are in desperate need of regulation and oversight. You gonna leave that to the states that can't even convict Ken fucking Paxton of securities laws violations? They can't even get him to trial. Issues like these are a complicated product of modern life. Your reductio ad absurdum refusal to consider things outside your little world of personal experience cause you problems. Sometimes simple is good. Not everything is simple.

  4. You mean wide sweeping approval like the 66% of Americans who want some form of nationalized health care like Medicare, or the 70% who support decriminalizing weed? Those things are being blocked by a minority, and need to be addressed. Gridlock is a bullshit tactic that maintains the status quo of inequity.

  5. We're currently the best we're going to be under Herman, and we're not that good. I simply don't care if we find a way to eek out wins against bad teams through overtime heroics or whatever. I want to be dominant. If every conference game is a coin flip, then yeah, we might have a lucky streak every now and again, but overall, we won't be good. And that's a problem.

  6. You're right not much will get done. You're wrong for thinking that is a good thing. You're wrong for thinking Republicans maintaining control of anything is a good thing. These aren't subjective feelings. These are objective truths.

  7. My 9 yr old daughter called the fraud hotline and left the following message: "Trump is my favorite president. I tried to draw a picture of him, but I ran out of orange crayons."

  8. Here are the only optics that matter: when you lose you look like shit, especially against opponent you should beat. When you win you look like shit. Recruits are jumping off of your sinking ship. You can’t hold on to recruits, and can’t even land ones who have had THREE generations of their family play for UT. You don’t know how to use your WR and TE talent correctly near consistently enough. Probably the best player on your offense, a RB, only gets 14 touches on a day that the guy you have starting in front of him doesn’t even play. “Optically” it’s fucking garbage, to fans and recruits. Fuck any other optics.

  9. So this is an interesting post. As a former right leaning independent, your post could have been mine five years ago. But the last several years have shown me that right now the Republican Party operates in only one way. Obstructionist. It started with Obama and I don’t see changing anytime soon. So why is that relevant to your post? Because the old Republican Party “theoretically” cared about less government spending and smaller government. In reality what we’ve seen is abysmal management of the country’s finances by the Party. There are so many ways the Republican Party could have managed the country’s finances better than it did. For example, we’ve flushed dollars straight into people’s or business owner’s pockets to help keep the world economy from crashing. Nothing wrong with that. But, now we are almost ten months into this thing and there’s been no innovative thinking about how to keep it crashing anyway in another three months, other than arguing over how much the next big giveaway will be. Why in the world hasn’t our government responded by now like FDR did during the depression by establishing public works projects. Instead of getting nothing back for the money, this country could be putting people to work in support of improving our infrastructure, which we all agree needs fixing. So gridlock just guarantees trillions upon trillions more money with little to show for it except making business owners richer. Meanwhile an already unsustainable debt level that has been created by the Republican party during what was a great economy puts us in the unfortunate position of potentially losing our reserve currency status in the next ten years. You think things are bad now, see what happens if that happens.

  10. Republicans have not been the party of small government in my lifetime, and I'm 57 years old. You'd think their base would learn that it's all a lie, but nope, they just keep buying the same crap. Bill Clinton actually managed to turn the deficit-to-GDP curve positive for a couple of years, and Obama got things back to somewhat normal after the disastrous financial crisis, but in general, government has always been big. It's just bigger under the "small government" administrations. Weird how that works.

  11. That always sounds good until you find out power at state and local levels really means “we don’t want the fed prohibiting us from stomping on LGBTQ rights, creeping religious education into public schools, etc.” Government is government, the only thing skewing to local does is reduce the amount of eyes on any bullshit they are pulling.

  14. Fuck..... it happened. "Irregularities in the voting machines and scanning process". This is exactly what the Trumpkin team has been waiting for in a battleground state which is nip and tuck -- Georgia. Wait...... you mean, this "irregularity" has been corrected and it appears it shorted Biden, not Don? How can this be? Where are is the DOJ????? Barr???

  16. I realized today that I didn't truly appreciate Obama. I know that's a weird thing to hear an African American say. During the Obama years while I knew there was still racism, I didn't realize the vastness of it. Then along came Donald Trump. The division and hate sowed by Trump and the people who ate it up showed me that we were completely wrong about the amount of racial tension in this country. Trump followers stand for everything that is wrong in this country, and bring out the ugliest parts of humanity here in the USA. So seeing so many Americans rise up and declare enough is enough made me so proud, and judging by all the people in the streets I am not alone. Knowing that there are so many good human beings out there gives me a peace of mind that even surpasses the pride I felt when we elected a Black President. So for those of you that voted to oust the wanna be dictator I say thank you. Thank you for giving me and my people hope in the people of this country. Thank you for helping ensure that my daughter's diabetic condition will be tended to without emptying our life savings. Thank you for helping get this country pointed in the right direction, back to love and unity. And lastly, thank you for restoring my hope! What did this moment mean to you?

  18. I'd like to believe that, but the optics of firing a coach with only 2 losses will be considered, things may not happen like we want. OK, so, about those optics ... I have a few questions: What are the 'bad optics' of firing a coach with 2 losses & a few shitty, underperforming wins, who's been here 4 years, has a senior Heisman Watch QB, and still calls it a rebuilding year? Why do we care if we fire a coach with a 30-17 record? Why does anyone else care? Why do we have a single fuck to give about whether or not anyone else cares? If we want to fire a HC with a 30-17 record & a 2-7 record vs OU Sucks and TCU, mid-season or otherwise, with Urban Meyer available, fuck anyone who says a fucking thing about it. Tell 'em to eabod, and move the fuck on.

  19. This was the first time I’ve ever voted, and it was in a county that was the center of attention for at least a day or so (Maricopa county Phoenix, AZ). I saw so many tiny dick trump supporters with their huge flags and caravan parades honking down every other street. I was surprised to learn Maricopa turned blue, and as corny as it sounds, I feel like my vote played a part in that.

  20. I mean...Trump being forcefully removed from the White House grounds by the secret service would be the single greatest thing to happen in this god forsaken year. He can shove his conditions up his big ass, if he doesn’t want to concede let him fuck around and find out.

  21. I’m not getting into what got opened and what’s left, but- between the 2012 Pierre Jouet Belle Epoch, the 2014 Dom, the 2017 Birthday Bourbon, the 2016 Handy the 2015 Pappy, some Uigedail, and the neighbors and my high school kids, and their friends and my patriotic example, I’d say that going forward graduations, birthdays, weddings, new babies and heavy Sunday nights are a blank slate going forward. open for suggestions. #noragrats

  24. Ummmm... OK I'll play, It's a little before full on bitch about your family at the holidays time, but it's gonna be in full force, "I'm hating the holidays" mode, all the way thru Jan 1. My dad has inoperable pancreatic cancer. He's in a full cost covered rehab facility to get some strength, and weight back on his bones. He's been complaining the whole time about wanting to be home with his wife, and family, hates it there, it sucks.. etc. etc. etc. It's exactly where he needs to be, because his second wife (kind of a bitch) wasn't taking care of him properly. She was also beginning to show some early signs of dementia. She died of a sudden, massive heart attack Wednesday. My father still doesn't know because you can't enter the facility because of Covid issues, and he wasn't thru the 14 day quarantine period where he could then go outside to talk to people, and I said we're for damn sure not telling him over the phone. We were already making arrangements for him to go back home, but their house was completely unsuitable for him to be there, not safe, and he wasn't getting any care at all from his wife. His house will not be ready for a couple more weeks, when he can (if he wants) go home, and pay for full time, 24/7, in home caregiver services, out of his pocket at $15,000 a month. So, we're now moving him to our home tomorrow, hospital bed, 24/7 in home care, etc. where we can tell him what's happened, with all the siblings there to break the news of her sudden passing. He already thinks I fucked him over for putting him there, so somehow this will be my fault. And now for the rest of the story. We're giving him our first floor master bedroom from now till Jan. 4 when our house sale closes, and we move out for good. Now we'll have my dad, and his deceased wifes' socially unaware, and slightly conniving children (Their mantra: we're gonna get all the money, and property because your dad is gonna die before our mother) that we'll have to entertain off, and on from now, thru Thanksgiving, and Christmas. God damn I hate people ! I am going to be very fucking drunk this holiday season. The only silver lining here is that maybe he, and I can have some quality time over this, his last holiday season.

  26. That in the last 3.5 seasons we have 17 losses and the wins have all been so close that we have never had a chance to give our 2nd team any reps, ya that’s my take away from Mensa ball.

  27. Did that 2yrs ago and look where it’s gotten them. Still losing to teams to which they shouldn’t. And now losing recruits...which they shouldn’t.

  28. What, until he loses to Sweaty Gary and whoever the fuck else next year? We’ll be right back here again, ‘cos it’s going to continue happening, just more often with the shit-tastic recruiting classes he’ll be putting together for at least the next couple of years. Ooh, can’t wait to see him coach those.
