  1. These paysites are really trying to push the narrative that Cade Brewer has somehow transformed himself into a legit #1 tight end and my bull shit detector is at 11.

  2. Get fucked. What an assine take. Dude wasn't being difficult to be difficult. He knew if he took his hands down to remove his seatbelt or open the door he was going to die. And that is literally what he told them. And his voice was shaking while he did it. Seriously, go fuck yourself.

  3. I have also long ago thought the cops need to be disarmed until they can demonstrate they can responsibly use firearms. Or go back to .38 cal revolvers. The rush to dominate and control the person is why they keep creating these situations. What warranted the pulling of a weapon? What warranted the use of pepper spray? What warranted pulling the guy over in the first place? They didn't see his license plate? Well once they did, they could have calmly walked up to the guy and said so and let him be on his way. This did nothing to add to the safety of society. That he was in uniform doesn't matter. He was a human doing nothing wrong, pulled over, with weapons drawn on him and then sprayed with pepper spray. What did the pepper spraying do? What did they think it would do? Become less afraid?

  4. She forgot the part where he got lost and the aggies fed him, gave him beer and escorted him back to the stadium. After which he proclaimed his undying respect for everything aggie.

  5. Why wasn’t the guy who was pulled over acting like a perfect model citizen, obeying confusing commands absolutely perfectly when two assholes are pointing guns at him while hysterically yelling at him at top volume and informing him that he “better be afraid” to follow their “commands”? And why are people more angry at the guy screamed at to “get out of the car” while also being told he should be scared to get of the car while two guns are pointed at him than the roid ragers whose salaries we pay who are acting on our collective authority with guns we paid for failing to act with even a tiny amount of decency? And it’s worse that he’s in the military. But they shouldn’t be treating anyone this way. Certainly not on a traffic stop. Hell, at the beginning of the video, they called it in as a “felony stop.” Apparently, because he had the audacity to want to be in a well lit place before interacting with the officers who pulled him over for no reason (they were wrong that his car didn’t have tags—they didn’t see them).

  7. Tell us more about how you hate blacks. At what point does not displaying a temp plate warrant drawing your gun and pepper spray? I'll hang up and listen as you explain to me the reason they drew their guns was because this guy was clearly super scary and threatening. Mainly because he's black, and we all know what we've been taught is that every black man that drives a new car is a drug dealer, with lots of guns and illegal things in his car. Am I doing this right?

  11. My first night on call as an intern. Third day on the job as a new doc. Was given checkout on a patient that was on inpatient hospice and may pass that night. We would have to go and pronounce anybody that died. So I get called from the nurse that this patient had died as expected, and I go to the room to pronounce him. You’re taught before starting internship to check for pulse, listen for respiration’s, listen for heart sounds, and note the time of death. I walk in the room and a bunch of family is there, very sad/quiet with occasional sniffles. So I introduce myself and say I’m sorry and do the whole song and dance to make sure he’s dead. And all I really know at that point is from the movies and TV where the doc announces the time of death. So I announce “Time of death: 11:42”. And the family loses their shit and starts screaming and wailing. And I just kind of slink out of the room. My resident laughed his ass off at me for not just documenting the time of death in the chart.

  15. As we wrap up the first week of full pads, full speed practice I thought it would be a good time to give our surly readers something to digest over the weekend and going into next week. In true 9.95er fashion, I'm going to make up all kinds of things and nothing, I mean nothing in this post is going to be worth a damn as far as insider information is concerned, but it's going to get your blood pumping and make you think you know a lot more than anyone actually does about what is going on in spring practice. That being said, lets start here. I mean wow is all I can say. Can Sark change his entire offense to just be punting on first down every time? I am pretty sure that after watching this video even when punting on first down that the team. Just kidding - in all seriousness did you see how fun they have made running sprints in practice? D'Shawn Jamison is a grown ass man, and it looks like his teammates are loving what they are seeing. One common thread that we can see from the absolute control that LHN and Longhorn Social Media has put out is the level of physicality in practice is among the highest we've ever been able to witness. No "Country Club" atmosphere to be seen. There is also a strange aura glowing around each of the players as they have media availability. It's a mix of excitement, nerves, trust and swagger that combine into something that gives us a glimpse into how the leaders are perceiving this coaching staff. There is a common theme in every one of the players and what they say, Faith. Something that is even stronger than trust is the foundation that is being laid out by the staff right now and the more we see the players trusting their teammates, their coaches and themselves the stronger that faith will become. Other things and happenings, we have a sighting of Hudson Card's teeny tiny hands, slangin' what seem to be perfect spirals down field. We get glimpses of passes down field from snaps from inside the program like this one from Josh Moore's snapchat: The defensive side of the ball is getting adjusted to it's new scheme, but what is really impressive is how freakish the athletes are and how quick they are to commit to changing their bodies or positions in order to win. Keondre Coburn is now on record talking about what his playing weight needs to be and his goal is to stay on the field for as many snaps as possible without being tired or having to rotate out. We have Tyler Owens shifting around trying out different positions. We have Jacoby Jones flying all over the practice squad stunting on people and most unexpected of all, fresh blood from the outside, Ray Thornton being the guy stepping up to fill in Ossai's role of BAMF. There is a lot to be really excited about right now, the players know it, the fans know it, the athletic department knows it and most of all the coaches know it. I don't think Sark was expecting to have as deep and as talented of a team, I also don't think he knew how hard the key players and leaders were willing to work in order to starts. As cheesy as it sounds, one thing that really resonated with me from the completely open and transparent conversation we had with Shark McCulloch was how serious Sam was all the time. I can't help but think that mentality permeated those that remained and the way every single player talks about Sam and the void he left from a leaders perspective, they talk about the new guys that are filling that void. Speaking of voids that needed to be filled. Another exciting thing happening around the program this week has been the open invitation of some of the most successful Longhorns to step foot on the 40 acres to come back. Listen to what they have to say. There has only been a handful of times that have been this exciting in the offseason to be a Longhorn fan, we have a lot to look forward to. Build the Burnt Orange Cathedral and may we have Faith in the Longhorns once again. I'm going to leave you with my mood right now, All Gas No Brakes. Hook 'Em View full article

  17. Couldn't remember which thread had the picture of the "Fuck Biden" stickers and giant pro-trump stuff, but figure this thread was good as any. I finally saw one of the "flag trucks" last night. Of course, it was parked in front of a coffee shop that is notorious in town right now for openly flaunting the lack of mask rules enforcement and fighting the assessed fines for doing so and other things. Big giant flag that said "FUCK BIDEN" on one side and some prop-Trump flag on the other side. And of course covered in stickers. As an admitted far lefty, I'm not the biggest Biden fan. I don't believe the plutocracy is going to save us, and instead will let us fight for crumbs while they feast. I have enjoyed having competency and lack of crassness at the top, however. I will praise the vaccination efforts and messaging. And like a good chunk of people just not getting the hourly "what stupid shit did Trump say or do now" news has felt like a relief. But this flag--this crassness. That's something that always, always shows with these pro-Trumpers. They follow a crass man because they are crass. It goes hand in hand with the stupidity. There are obviously people who voted R who didn't feel the need to plaster the F-bomb all over their vehicles. But the most vehement supporters do it. The True Believers. I'm no Puritan, at all. But I guess I generally in public do my best to be friendly to all and not go out of my way to offend. This town somewhat brags on acting that way ("Be Nice, You're in Bend") so there's a bit of peer pressure to be nice in some ways. I don't get the need to not only have to show the world how much you love Trump and hate libs, but the utter need to go out of your way to be as offensive as possible about it. It is one thing to be that way online, hey we all have our moments. But to be a walking proclamation of crass hate, on a main road full of families just out for evening fun. That's another level. </myfacebookpostoftheday>

  18. FFS, labor and trade unions are not Marxist in either theory or practice. Marx thought unions could develop into a revolutionary mass movement but griped too often that they were preoccupied with making the lives and conditions of workers better instead of upending The whole system. The Soviets created a system analogous to “company unions” that were entirely subservient to the Party and the ruling apparatchiks. Unions are nothing more than people who have labor to sell organizing themselves to more effectively negotiate a better deal for their product (labor). GTFO out of here with this whole idea that trying to get maximum value for what you have to sell is some sort of radical Communist idea.

  26. They’re taught to come over the top, meaning that if somebody acts up their idea is to be bombastic and go over the top verbally or with violence/tasing etc. It’s funny that doctors and nurses deal with many of these same people but when all you have is training on how to de-escalate, that’s what you do. We can slowly improve things but if we wanted a real fix you truly need to fire everyone and hire community liaison type cops. Not the small dick tough guys that make up 75% of today’s cops.
