  1. I hadn't realized that. Bezos just bought Trump's n-word tapes.

  2. Conservatives never would've listened to a President Hillary. But most of them would have listened to Trump if he'd told them it was bad, it was airborne, and to sacrifice for America or whatever by social distancing, masking, and cooperating with tracing efforts. And because liberals and conservatives aren't actually two sides of the same coin. Liberals also would've done the same because we don't actually politicize everything; we took the pandemic seriously because it was a fucking pandemic, not because we thought doing so made Trump look bad.

  4. We went through 4 miscarriages between our two kids, one of them was twins. If someone walked in saying the governor needs to know some deets, I'd tell them to shove it straight up his ass. My wife was in a seriously fragile state each time and I wasn't exactly level headed dealing with it either. I would physically fight someone that wanted to make it more painful. The gop has literally lost its fucking mind and its soul. They care nothing about people, just their stupid outlook based on fucking lies and treating their sacred book like a cafeteria buffet.

  5. The recruiting board is by far the most informed and intelligent when it comes to Texas football as a whole, not just recruiting. We are used to posters like you who show their total ignorance by constantly spewing shit ass opinions and then get all defensive when they get called out for it. If you don't want to get called out as being an idiot on the recruiting board then I suggest you either know what the fuck you're talking about or lurk and learn something so that when you do post you aren't so obviously uninformed about basically everything.

  6. If you think any of us would risk dying horribly and alone of a respiratory disease to own some conservatives you’re extremely mistaken.

  7. That's a complete fabrication. You just can't help yourself. Let's be very clear: Trump knew in February how bad this pandemic might get. We have him on tape saying so. Armed with that knowledge, he -- downplayed the seriousness of covid-19 to the American people -- indicated it would vanish within weeks -- refused to advocate for masks and social distancing for months -- failed to push for more effective national contract tracing efforts -- hosted largely mask-free, packed campaign rallies in 14 cities over the summer. Covid soon spiked in half of those cities. -- started hosting indoor rallies in late September -- contracted the virus himself, along with a good portion of his family and White House staff, because of his stubbornness -- led a diminished (some would say botched) vaccine rollout that magically turned around after January 20, 2021 There is SO much blame that can be levied against Donald J. Trump. That said, not one person I have ever encountered thinks he or the Republican Party is responsible for the deaths of every single American to pass from the disease, not even close. That's just another one of your fucking lies. Negged (again).

  14. The virus came from somewhere in China, be it from a wet market or a lab. We need to figure out what happened and try to keep it from happening again. The experience with the virus in the US was made worse by the fact we had a president who thought you could cure it by injecting bleach and shoving a UV light up your ass. We need to keep that from happening again as well. These are not mutually exclusive.

  16. John Cena issued an apology in Mandarin to China and his Chinese fans. In a 68-second clip posted to Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, Cena struck an unusually contrite tone as he repeatedly said sorry to his 600,000 followers. "I made a mistake," he says in Mandarin, "I'm so, so sorry for my mistake. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm very sorry. You have to understand I love and respect China and Chinese people. I'm sorry." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/25/world/asia/john-cena-taiwan-apology.html

  20. And this is the real issue with right-wingers. Literally every single thing that happens in the universe is political grievance. From the birth of a child to the viral death of an elderly person, ALL of it goes straight through the lens of political grievance. And if none legitimately exist, just imagine them and then move forward with the imagined oppression as if it is real. Beyond fucking pathetic.

  22. The seats below the longhorn are for some new group of ticketholders. I think they pay a PSL once of $20k and then a seat's season tickets are $4k. I might have that wrong, but I think that's what I was told. The suites above the longhorn are the 4 ($150k) and 8 ($250k) seat loge suites. They're stocked on gameday with requested beverages. There are ipad monitors with the game coverage on each side of every other seat for all to see. Access to the bar and food area directly above, which is covered and air-conditioned. The Founders' Suites go up either side of the scoreboard and those went for $10million each. 8 of them. Mostly non-corporate buyers too. There's also another type of "living room" suite for groups of 8. Those suites get the same amenities as the loge suites plus constant service from staff for food and booze. I think they also get better seats to sit in. I think those were either $250k or $500k capital expense plus season ticket costs for 8. Part of the student section will be to the left (east) of the horn, directly under where LHN and networks will cover the gamedays. The other far side on the right (west), I believe, will be where hosts, recruits, parents, player parents, and other team VIPs will be seated. I can't even imagine the amenities that are going into the Founders' Suites, but it's about as upscale as you can get. I believe they're also building out a dean's suite that will host VIPs of different kinds of sorts. The common area with AC for the SEZ capital contributors will be accessible to only 400 people each gameday, including the new restrooms. That means basically no lines. There's exclusive elevator and escalator access and a gate that basically mirrors the parking lot in which the SEZ ticket holders will be parking. You can be suite-to-car after the game in less than 5 minutes. You could do the same showing up, but who the fuck doesn't want to visit tailgates and walk around and see the gameday atmosphere ahead of game time? Everything on the SEZ will be shaded by structure or covered deliberately as protection from sun. Only the first row has any risk of baking in the sun, and that's for 30 minutes at 11am kickoffs in September. Apparently one of the engineering or physics interns that they have running around did the calculations including sun placement at given times of year.

  26. This is minimizing the harm he did. He didn't just refuse to advocate for masks and refuse to push for better tracing efforts, he actively hindered all efforts by others to do both.

  27. In Canada, they've had 35,898 deaths related to Covid, which comes out to 666!!! per million. If the US had achieved that ratio, we'd only have 222,000 and would've saved 383,000 lives. Imagine that, Canada a country with 38,000,000 people (8 million more than Texas) had 15,000 fewer deaths than our great state. Clearly, we could've done much much better.

  28. You mean the guy who left a team in the middle of a season to hide in NY isn’t a good teammate? The guy who didn’t show up to support his team in the playoffs isn’t a good teammate? Even the dude who cheated on his wife with another teammate’s wife thinks Kawhi is a bad teammate.

  34. It's the boy who cried wolf. When you have a President and administration that literally lied every day, eventually they were gonna be right about something and it got dismissed because the President was doing things like saying the virus would be gone by Easter and that drinking bleach would prevent it.
