If a dude voluntarily chooses to coach at Baylor and Penn State in one career, you eventually have to start asking difficult questions.16 points

It was funny for a minute when he was a joke candidate looking for attention. It became real when an entire fucking political party decided it was great and put him in fucking office. It's not even remotely funny for a man who held that position to continue doing this shit. It wasn't funny when he encouraged a fucking insurrection where people were literally ready to kill politicians in his name. It's not funny in any respect whatsoever, and fuck you for even suggesting that there is any humor involved.12 points

Mrs. NNM said I needed to look under her car, that there was something scraping. She said she ran over a small stick in our driveway. We’re out in the country in ETX, have about 100 pine trees in the front yard and about a 75 yard driveway through those trees, so there were a LOT of sticks blown down in the wind over the last couple of days. I got down there, and was able to get the skid plate off. Her story, and she’s sticking to it, is that it was only a “small stick” she ran over. I think I need to go look for bodies on the side of the road on the highway ….9 points

When you have to resort to arguing that your state is better then Mississippi then you’re fucked.9 points

As a football fan in Texas, it galls me. But it's true and a legit pitch. The laws here regarding voting and abortion are now more extreme than Mississippi's. And I kind of hope it works.9 points

Interesting that you think I am Covid denier, as I am scheduled for my third Moderna shot. I just absolutely despise any politics, especially on the football board. For so many of you fuckheads, you cannot seem to realize how many of us don’t care about your political opinions.9 points

That is an innovative way to spell boredom. I've tried to imagine what a football experience would be like inside the Boredome and it's not pretty. I assume we'd witness some sort of Jim Tressel-esque lame ass offense butting heads with some sort of Mark D'antonio-esque meathead defense. Basically the worst games from the Big 10 over the last 20 years. Grim. You can keep your Boredome, sir. Brooks and Anderson are the paperwork guys. Banks is one of the commitments elsewhere that they're trying to get to visit, among others. They didn't mention Dewberry, but he's realizing, in his head at least, that he could be a freshman starter at Texas. All things equal, Stewart has always been going to Texas. That might actually wind up being the case, absurdly. If there isn't a big discrepancy in $$ at signing day, it's Texas. If there's some sort of massive difference, then, yeah, it's not a recruiting issue. The guy does not want to go to ATM and be the main guy. IT knows that. What the fuck are they supposed to say? That if ATM catapults a $250k bag (or thumbdrive) over the Stewart family fence, he's theirs? That ... would not be smart for an actual journalistic service to write.8 points

I'm sorry counselor, but this is a load of horseshit. There needs to be a very loud, clear message sent: You participate in a riot whose purpose was to overthrow the US government, even if you were only a "tourist" (whatever the fuck that means), you are going to spend a long time in a dark hole. Otherwise, this will happen again. The justice dept. is fucking this up. Time and again, their social media posts show they were not "tourists". They were there for one reason. They saw the fighting with the cops, the vandalism, they heard the rhetoric, they heard the chants of kill Pence and kill Pelosi. They are terrorists, traitors, and insurrectionists. Ignominy and anxiety and unease? What the fucking fuck? That's what you feel the morning after you get drunk at your friend's wedding and say something stupid. Six months after you attempt to overthrow the government you should be feeling the dread of 30+ years of prison. These fucks should have been met with massed lethal force on Jan 6. Every fucking one of them who entered the Capital that day should die in prison and then rot in hell.7 points

I'm having a hard time following you champ. My original contention was that the primary factor that triggered wealth disparity was reagan's bullshit tax decisions. You countered with nope, "the Federal Reserve and zirp is the number one driver of inequality." So then I show the same trend existed for the 15 years prior to zirp, a period where interest rates were as high as 15%. Which then elicits a response from you "Yeah trickle down helps the rich." No shit dumbass, that was my f'n point to begin with. But I shouldnt be surprised, because you're also trying to argue that the point of significant divergence on my original chart was prior to 1980. yes, there is some variance in the years prior, but if you can't spot the point in time on this chart where shit gets real, there's no point in continuing the discussion.7 points

I’m perplexed at the use of the words “funny” and “laugh” on this page. Is there some subtlety that I’m missing? It’s not humorous, it’s just dumb, childish insults. It’s not even offensive, it’s just moronic. It’s Triumph the Insult Comic without the satire.6 points

And I think this is why the "Let's Go Brandon" shit rankles so much. We've slid so far backward. The mouth-breathing, knuckle-draggers have such a large platform that decency and adult-like behavior no longer means civility and common sense. But it has also exposed that American society is a failing one.6 points

This. I have said some stupid, crass, and offensive shit in my life. I still occasionally do, among friends, in private. But I also have another role -- I'm an officer of the court, and a representative of my clients. And in THAT capacity, I have certain obligations, my word carries weight. So, I don't say crass and offensive things in that capacity because of my position. Trump the Game Show Host? He can be as crass and shitty as he wants. I will think he's crass and shitty, but who gives a fuck, he's a game show host. When the GODDAMNED MOTHERFUCKING PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES says this shit, it matters. It matters a lot. Current, former, doesn't matter. There is a REASON you've never heard any other POTUS, in office or out of it, behave that way.....because it so fucking denigrates the office and the country, and is so hideously harmful, that no sane or decent person would behave that way. Trump is a goddamned sociopath. That's bad enough. He's also worshipped as an infallible god by the GQP. That's what is killing and will kill us as a country. We cannot recover when half of our body politic is a festering cancer.6 points

Did this happen in Vegas or Waco?6 points

None of us have every fucking been president of the United States, and none of us have millions upon millions of followers who are itching to act violently against anyone who disagrees. You seem to be pretending that you have some nuanced position. You don't. You can't downplay his behavior, and then say, "see, I'm in agreement with you." The fact that you would even say shit like the bolded means you're a fucking clown. One of those people who giddily vote for a fucking tyrant but pretend that you disagree with him behavior.6 points

No, you are not. He practices it at a level that defies human explanation. Also, a majority of the voters in a large number of states LOVES HIM FOR IT. Again, behavior that is peak "shitty human being" is an ASSET in the minds of our fellow countrymen. We don't recover from that.6 points

It's the one-way rivalry. . .most Baylor fans would gladly take a bunch of losses if we could beat Texas, the Horns are our OU, except the week we play TCU. It's been about 11 years since I drunk staggered over to ShaggyBevo from the Baylorfans cesspool to troll you guys. . .since then I stopped drinking and stopped giving money to Baylor but I have to admire what Matt Rhule and Dave Aranda accomplished after Judge Starr, Ian McCaw, and Art Briles got ran out of town and they hired a woman president. Just giving credit where it's due. Not to get all sentimental, but I'll take UT hubris all day long over the shite posts on whatever BU site is still around. What can I say, I'm Presbyterian - and being around all those baptists taught me how to be an actual Christian.6 points

Went to the Dallas Mavericks game tonight where they announced Voyager as a crypto partner. Mark Cuban is matching $100 free with a $100 deposit and crypto purchase if you use the code Mavs100. https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/mark-cuban-dallas-mavericks-free-bitcoin-100-voyager-digital-app-2021-10 Anyways, before the start of the 4th quarter they had a fan come out with a timer and make some shots to qualify for the chance to shoot a half court shot and if he makes it, Mark Cuban gives this guy $100k in crypto. The loudest the game got was when this guy nailed it. We all went nuts for him, what a cool moment. Boban and all the Mavs players were legitimately floored too and celebrating and looked pretty astonished:5 points
