  2. 4 Penalties in this game. 3 of them were on Dallas Cowboys, they are such an undisciplined team.

  3. he’s in favor of investigating 1/6. he believes in ease of voting. he wants to keep the deficit under control. slorch isn’t trolling, he’s just slowly figuring out that he’s a democrat.

  4. just for posters that know about my uncle Bill is awake alert and watching this game. He had a stroke and is rehabbing but he said he’d like to be a part of our group. I can’t tell y’all how cool it is that he can speak to me now.

  5. Between Cook, Jamison, J. Thompson, Brooks, Barron, Coffey, Crawford, Watts, and Allen being an EE, the DB room has talented players to field a competent secondary. It's up to the coaches to develop and make it happen. If they can't, then someone needs to hit the road.

  6. Just uncanny. You should seriously consider starting a tout service. I even have a name for you. Constanza’s Sports Picks.

  7. The Republican Party supports the attack on the capitol, supports the lie that the election was stolen, supports laws that are specifically designed to stop people from voting, and supports violence in order to achieve its goals. What fucking more do you need to understand what it is?

  8. One year ago today at 1:30pm I got the call from my daughter in law that my 37 year old son had died from an overdose. I decided I wanted what you all had to offer on April 28, 1998, and have gone to any lengths to get it and sustain it. For a moment, my son too embraced recovery but being off his prescribed medications led him out the door and he returned to his previous addiction. I celebrate the 23 years time we shared together as father and son along with memories that will last forever. The journey continues and I have found other recovering alcoholics who have lost children, spouses, family that share a bond none of us wanted but are glad to have today. Trudging the road to happy destiny sometimes means wanting to burst into tears one minute and scream at the top of your lungs the next, but I've never felt alone because of the host of friends that surround me with love or had a thought about drinking alcohol. For this, I am grateful and will continue living one day at a time content to believe that life without alcohol is better than life as a drunk.

  9. This. We didn’t lose the Republic on Jan 6th. We narrowly avoided that defeat, and lived to fight another day. The key being “fight another day,” not “bask in our victory because it’s over and we won.” The relentless assault continues, and they have repeatedly informed us that they will use all tools, including violence, to try again. Jan 6 wasn’t a win for us. It was a defeat narrowly avoided and a klaxon-loud warning. But we’re not treating it like that, which is maddening.

  10. Ewers Watts Neyor Billingsly Probably Brini. That's a fucking haul. Even without Brini, it's arguably the best in the country and that's before we add Mathis. Bunch of smart guys on here talking shit and pissing their diapers while crying about the staff over the last hundred pages or so. Pretty funny now.

  12. I Always tip between 20-25%. They basically have to insult my wife or get caught spitting in my food to get less. You say please for everything, and you thank them for everything from refilling your beverage to bringing you your order. I’ve had waiters spill drinks on me, or smack me on the head with a tray as they tried to maneuver in close quarters. No one is trying to fuck up your order, or make a mistake, or ruin your evening. Mistakes happen. Just be gracious and treat everyone with respect, which is a worldview that should be prevalent outside of restaurants as well but alas, people suck.

  17. People who block shit because they’re self-absorbed. Had to go to Costco yesterday, and had my way blocked at almost every point. Walking in, a guy had pulled his SUV up the dead-center of the front. Everyone going in or out had to detour around him. Then I got inside, and was behind a couple. She pushed the basket, he walked….side by side, separated by about three feet, so they blocked the entire main aisle you had to travel to get to the back. They walk slowly. The aisle widens, so I make a move to pass on the left…and he meanders left to look at a TV, blocking me again. So I double back so I can pass on the right, which is good because now she’s at a complete stop in the middle of the aisle. Buy my shit and leave. We all get our receipts checked, and exit through one narrow door. And we get backed up because one self-absorbed dipshit gets his receipt checked, goes right outside the door, and stops, blocking the whole exit while he gets his sunglasses out, carefully folds the receipt and puts it in his pocket, scratches his balls, whatever. He could have gone another 10 feet to do that, and would have left all of us a way out, but instead, the entire store has to wait for him to get prepped for his drive home. I finally get around him and get to my car, load my stuff, and whip around to the cart return. A couple is pushing their basket by it, then decide they need to come to a full stop and have a conversation, blocking the entire thing….while I’m 2 feet away, staring at them with my empty cart. Not till I actually say “excuse me” do they realize that other people exist on this planet and move out of my way. At every turn, self-absorbed shitheels who, in spite of being at one of the busiest stores in town, think they are the only people in existence. Fuckers.

  18. Some people are born assholes, grow up aa assholes, and live their lives as assholes. Aaron Rodgers is an asshole. It has nothing to do with what he believes, but rather who he is. He is an asshole. I hope he's absolutely wrecked tonight. But he probably isn't, because he is a fucking asshole.

  20. Maybe he should have just come out and owned not being vaccinated instead of pussyfooting around it with the entire "I've been immunized" bullshit. If you believe in your actions then own them and explain it, instead of trying to come up with excuses once you get caught in your lie.

  22. It is strictly true when speaking of a novel virus. Your body has never seen it before and there is no way, on an individual basis, to know how one’s immune system will respond. It’s why the Spanish flu outbreak killed so many young otherwise healthy people. With Covid-19, among the first deaths and severe illness were healthcare workers with no age Issues or comorbidities. EMT, ER and ICU staff were hit especially hard. Read up on it. One of the surgeons I know contracted Covid in early March 2020. He was late 50’s at the time but a runner and healthy. Spent over a month intubated in the ICU and coded twice. Even at this point I haven’t seen anything showing 99.999% of any demographic can expect to be asymptomatic. Even young, healthy, vaxed people can get really sick, and end up dead or with long term health issues. An anesthesiologist I work with got it 2 weeks ago, was sick as shit for over a week and still has a raspy voice rattly productive cough and sinus congestion. Early 30’s and a workout fanatic. Vaxed not boosted though with omicron who knows if that would have helped. Maybe shortened duration. A PT I know who wasn’t vaxed is recovering and said it’s the sickest he’s ever been. literally said he didn’t think it would be that bad lol. People live in denial. This guy is also early 30s and a workout fanatic. Those examples are anecdotal but look at the graphs of hospitalizations. There are a lot of very sick people still; not all are old or have other risk factors.

  24. Well, I guess it is Friday, and apparently some of y'all find this stuff interesting, so I figured what the hell, I will just go straight to the best that I got. Wife's mother is not even close to the most interesting story. Wife's mother's father is. Spoilered for those who don't care, and it is a bit off topic. TLDR: Between the years 1941-1948, wife’s maternal grandfather was a Red Army conscript, a German POW, a Wehrmacht soldier, a US POW, and a US Army employee. And he was the baddest motherfucker that I have ever met.

  28. I’m not sure how you got that from my statement about Covid-19’s having been a novel virus, ie a virus that no human has been previously infected with. 2 years ago this was a novel virus. Even this time last year the majority of the US had not been exposed, and so it would be stupid, when a vaccine is available; and exposure had a good chance to result in a given individual ending up in the ICU or dead, to think prior infection would have a meaningful impact as part of your public health strategy. That is no longer the case. The omicron surge is peaking here if it hasn’t already. Given that and the numbers from the cdc I posted above we are approaching the point where a majority has protection either through infection; vaccination or both.

  30. He thought he and his shitty cal team should have been in Pasadena instead of VY and the horns and talked all kinds of shit in the media for weeks. Then got outplayed in the holiday bowl by fucking Sonny Cumbie while VY gave the best qb performance in rose bowl history (at least until the next January). Are you not a Texas fan or just real young?
