  2. Your political bait should have been posted in the cloak room rather than here: Madeleine Albright, who served as President Bill Clinton's secretary of state and supported President Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential election, apologized to Romney, then Obama's Republican opponent and now Utah's junior senator, for her repeated criticism of his claim that Russia was the country's "number one geopolitical foe," as he said during the campaign. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/years-mitt-romney-finally-credit-warnings-russia/story?id=61330530

  3. I get so tired of hearing about libertarians. Not all but many self described libertarians are just Republicans who don't want to call themselves Republicans.* Most agree with Republicans and support Republicans on just about everything with the exception of 1 or 2 issues like maybe the drug war or in rarer cases abortion. Calling themselves a libertarian is a way to act pretentious and above it all when it comes to two party politics while being able to throw their hands in the air and pretend nothing's their fault when the Republican politicians they pretend they don't support and enable are in power and do stupid things. Weird how so many are never around to criticize the Ted Cruzes, Abbotts, or Trumps of the GOP but suddenly come out of the woodwork after four years now that Ds are back in power. *I have no idea who Dave Smith is or if he's some true believer. Just referring to my interactions with libertarians in general.

  4. Revisiting the Mangalica chops. I was inspired by this guy’s video: I did something similar. Simple sear, starting them off in a cold pan over the fire to render the fat. Then seared on each side. Instead of a brown butter sauce, I finished them with a bath of butter, rosemary, and garlic and then added a compound garlic-scallion butter. They were pretty much perfect. Because of the fat and marbling you can and should take them at least to medium. Searing the edge crispy was genius. Sides are unimportant but prosciutto and parmesan stuffed mushrooms and a baked sweet potato.

  10. I sincerely hope Ted Cruz catches the worst form of cancer and AIDS at the same time. He is one of the biggest pieces of shit to ever hold office. If I am being honest, I also wish the same fate for anyone who has voted for him. He is the fucking human equivalent of a pile of dog shit.

  12. We shall see. The one option Ukrainians have that Afghans didn’t— they’re white Christians who can literally walk into the EU and the first world and start working somewhere. If this goes off, I’d want nothing more than to see Russia get mauled. That said, what would I do if I was a Ukrainian and a father or a husband? I’d be sorely tempted to say “fuck it, let him have it.” My grandkids will speak perfect Polish/German/Czech, drink good beer, and take holiday in the Canaries and these assholes’ grandkids will be stuck in Kharkiv. I try to be pretty detached, but I have friends and people I care about deeply in the country. Wars fucking suck. They suck more if you die. I don’t want them to die.

  20. I've posted my #1 before, but here it is again. 1990 Telecaster N_9 serial number anomaly. Early 1990 American Standard before the new factory opened. On paper, it's nothing special. But these were hand picked woods and basically handmade (500 of each color between 1987 and early 1990). Great pickups too. I removed the TBX tone control for a more traditional one. Other than that, it's as it always was since I picked it up in 1996 or so.

  21. Just ordered this exact car today. Sonoma Green, red calipers and all. Now I have to wait for it. Bailed on the 911, decided I didn't want a 2 seater. The dealer had one RS6 on the lot that was sold, but got to sit in it and start it up. They sound amazing and are sexy as hell in person. Pictures don't do it justice.

  22. 2001 PRS CUSTOM 24 w/ 10 Top i get every tone I need out of this thing fender Les Paul ect. Best clean tone for a electric I own. I can play any music out of it and it fits in the palm of my hand. This was my 1st real guitar purchase. It was $3799 and I had 2k in my pocket. My manager at Guitar Center goes oh don’t worry and bam employee discount was cost so I got it for $1950. Fuck to the yeah yeah yeah! This is my baby. If my house was on fire after the wife and kids were safe I’m going back for this.

  23. Shockingly, to me, at the moment it would be this one. Never considered myself a Strat guy. Neck to die for and with the switching allowing for neck and bridge combo it gives me a bit of that Tele sound. Fantastic guitar. And the color has really grown on me.

  26. I don't watch that shit. In fact this morning for the first time in forever, I wanted to watch news to find out more on the Ukraine and it was all political garbage. And I don't even know where BBC is on Dish so that wasn't an option. Fox and CNN were both garbage - making totally political posts that mirrored each other and neither particularly covered the crisis. Fox was running some shit comparing the Canadian trucker intervention to the non-intervention when riots were happening in our cities. CNN was running some shit on racism and anti-vaxers among truckers and their ties to the Republican party. Awesome people when a major war is about to erupt. You should watch the Netflix show, "Don't Look Up". It pretty much nails the shit going on in our country.

  27. Let’s see everyone’s number ones. The last guitar you would part with if it came down to it. Mine is this ‘63 Telecaster reissue. Perfect neck and scale length for my hands. The neck pickup is smooth like butter and the bridge growls like a beast. That a Tele would be my number 1 has surprised me, because I never thought I liked teles. I went looking for one as a niche guitar to fill out a collection and then bam, I played this and was like “Whoa...”. I’ll cycle through my guitars and they are all nice and bring something a little different to the table, but every time I get back to this Tele I have that same reaction.

  30. When Ricky’s original agent (Master P’s brother in law?) signed him to that extremely shitty contract with the Saints, he was in the wedding dress with Ditka on the SI cover, smoked way too much weed, etc. he caught a lot of shit on hornfans, of all places. Weird because everyone knows what the consequences of discouraging words used to be there. Anyway I posted something defending him which I’m sure was very eloquent and a poster purporting to be his mom thanked me, asked for my mailing address and sent me these autographed bad boys… The return address checked out. Wish I’d have saved the handwritten envelope. Very nice lady
