This likely means nothing from a legal perspective, but why would someone pay another $130K if they didn't have sex?

    or $420k?

Fucking cracks me up when they wrongly assume someone is with them until they speak out.

    Ritchson.  Swift.

I like that Reacher is who they think of when they imagine Dotard, and themselves trying to save America from equality.

My aunt and uncle are in their early 60s and are successful business owners in Richmond VA.  I love them and hanging out with them.  They are fun, my cousins (their kids) are fun and it's always a blast to see them.  But they fell hook line and sinker for the drag queens and pedos in schools bit that Youngkin and others have been selling.  Even though they don't have kids in school anymore.  Even though they aren't particularly religious.  They are relatively good natured about it when I give them shit.  For instance, every time they say the word globalist, they have to drink.

Good that your relatives aren't closed minded enough to indoctrinate others in a with us or against us mentality.  Critical thinking is under attack.

Used to see trans and drag queens hooking it on Friday and Saturday nights along Broad Street in Richmond.  It's not like they bother anybody--only the bigots mess with them.  The people that really care want to legislate morality in an attempt to hide their self inflicted shame.  The only rule should be to only involve consenting adults.

What about National Harbor or is that just a tourist trap?

It's designed to keep you there, but it's interesting. There may be a ferry that takes you to both Alexandria and Georgetown, but you'd have to look that up, and it's not the cheapest.  You may even be able to take it to the wharf and see a Nats game, which is a good experience.

Just as Trump is siphoning off money from the RNC and the long-time operatives who knew where all the bodies were buried and what t’s to cross and i’s to dot were fired.

and now he won't have anyone reeling him in, as in there won't be a Mike Pence saying no.  Going to be a bumpy ride to see what happens if Dems don't win or defend their win.

At some point, you wonder if the better part of valor would be to give them their little patch of soon to be scorched earth, and have a refugee movement period. Let them whither on their vine while the rest of us attempt to adhere to American values, ideals, and aspirations.

Who is expected to fund their socialized social security, medicare and medicaid?  They should be told good luck with your diabetes, it gets easier with amputations.

  8. I'd love to slip a bookmarker with a picture of a gold toilet in a stack of Trump bibles, along with the following scripture:

“I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.” Trump, 1:1, 2005

The real bottom line is that we've reached a point where white people can actually visualize an America where they AREN'T in complete control of every single institution of power, and minorities will be.

Mostly, it's just the rich fearing they'll lose power.  In a Democracy, they have to divide the population to get the necessary votes to support their 1% rule.  Racism is a way to do that.  The NFL had to enact the Rooney rule so that Black coaches could get a shot at being interviewed.  Fucking interviewed, not hired but seen.  That's America in a nutshell.  We have to implement laws to get a fair shake, which gets convoluted.

Even slogans such as Black Lives Matter get twisted to all lives matter, despite all lives not being being threatened.  We say there's two different laws--rich and poor, while really there's a third type doled out to minorities. I have not been threatened at work by minorities--not teaching, nor working as staff at universities. When I attend staff appreciation parties, I am surprised how many minorities are maintenance vs administrators.  It's almost like there are roles for minorities, but it's primarily pushing a stick.  And that's how we boost our equality based employment numbers.  When we discuss welfare in this country, it's in regards to minorities.  Storming the capitol on Jan 6th is cool, but taking a knee in silent protest is un American.  Muhammad Ali saying fuck the draft was un American, while Trump deferring 5 times is commander in chief material.  RW snowflakes moaning woe is me after 400 + years of absolute dominance because equality protections, is boo freaking hoo.

It’s a thing of beauty, complete with ties to China, and specifically, Wuhan.

So he runs the RNC like a mob boss--the Republican Party is basically the Republican crime family, that sends a cut to Dotard every time money comes in. And now on top of this, he's about to defraud his social media share holders, may have judges and congressmen in his pocket, is a convicted rapist and has a multitude of trials going on damn near simultaneously, got busted paying off a porn star (and others), has tax payers paying his security team for life, and is running again for president.  DOJ, SCOTUS, anybody going to step up?  And for anybody questioning whether he has judges in his pocket, he's arguing immunity for life because he was a president--and not just for past offenses, but so that he can continue breaking laws.  Like right now, with his Truth Social scandal about to break.

The problem with Gotti was that he didn't think big enough, unlike Putin, who is president for life.  I wish the China thing mattered, I just can't see it with his followers. Their real anger is that we all don't follow them over the cliff.

But Biden is soft on the border, so both sides.

Trump is going to school Republicans on how he was able to bankrupt a casino.  He should also have his own megachurch; the cross fits right into the first initial of his last name.

Every time I go to Costco, I see the millions of plastic containers for EVERYTHING and extrapolate that out in my brain as to how much of that inventory is replaced every day and how many Costcos there are and all the other big box stores and how many plastic water bottles  are used everyday and it is all just overwhelming and we are fucked.

Or when I go to Wholefoods and see a mound of individual potatoes wrapped in plastic.

The way our recycling works is that if there's one piece of non recyclable plastic in the bin, then everything gets trashed.  At work, in many buildings, just watch the maintenance guys dump both the trash and recycle baskets all in the same bin at night.  Basically, if you don't stay on people, they won't do right.  Which is exactly why regulation is needed.  Greed is a crime by biblical standards, and a disease, especially when a few begin to rationalize poison for profit.

This thread continues to remind us that they have nothing to really go after Joe Biden with to help Trump in November, and the fact that they won’t put it to a vote proves it - instead they are just going to try and drag this stuff, all the while it doesn’t change anybody’s mind.

It's Benghazi all over again.  It won't stop until the election, and then, only if a Republican wins.

Polls are a lot like the debates—unnecessary and out of date considering how society has progressed with technology.

The problem is these polls give way for trump to scream “FRAUD” if he loses because 40% if our country can’t understand why most polls are flawed considering how they are conducted.

Counterpoint--Trump pointed to how the polls all favored Hillary when he won, and how wrong and out of touch they were.  But yeah, he'll now use the polls to scream "FRAUD," because it's all he's got.

  15. Making the trip this summer--mid June for 11 days.  Have to go then, anniversary.  Wife has been before so she knows and has seen most things.  Doing the 3 day Barcelona, 4 day Madrid, 4 day Saville, so those are our bases.  Great advice on here and am booking everything in advance, including trains. First thing is a foot tour in those three cities.

Absolutely love Spanish artists, so looking forward to the Prado.  Loathe Picasso, aside from early works.  but can't wait to see El Greco, Antonio Lopez Garcia, Sorolla, Gris, Golucho, Isabel Quintanilla, Diego Velasquez and others.

Would like to come back another time and explore cave art in Northern Spain and northern Portugal, or north of Lisbon.

I said it a while back on the previous scat site and got laughed out of the room, but we need a distinction between press and media. Press is a protected class by the Constitution (that darn thing again) and should be treated as such. Real journos have to go to school and be trained for their craft - make it a profession that requires licensing just as you would an architect, doctor, lawyer, etc. Make continuing education part mandatory, enforced by a regulatory board that creates standards and practices. Just as with any professional organization, if you do your job poorly enough, you can no longer hold a license. That's The Press. EVERYTHING else is media and is given all the appropriate disclaimers and such as you would say, South Park.

The media is damn near us now--the internet diluted facts and journalists, since it is mostly free and immediate. We quit buying newspapers and magazines for the most part, which forced them to go broke or downsize.  Also, opinions in articles is actually something that foreign adversaries have targeted to poison the water, because Americans seem to give a shit about them enough to argue with bots and bad foreign actors posing as Steve or Joe.  But society is to blame for the media being what it is, plus we allowed them to be bought up by a few American/Australian oligarchs.  Also RW seemingly controls the airwaves with their incessant, loud whining and white victim mentality.

Museums: The Udvar-Hazy Air & Space annex out at Dulles is really worth the trip.  Goddamn, it's a pain in the ass to get out there.  But it is really super-cool.  It's really remarkable how many one-of-a-kind airplanes they have there.

Otherwise, the Postal Museum right next to Union Station is worth an hour or two of your time.  I'm not big into postage stamps and stuff, but they have some cool things, including a letter sent from the Titanic (offloaded at Cherbourg), a letter postmarked from the Moon, and a letter sent by an inmate at Auschwitz.  Oh, and an actual British stamp issued under the 1765 Stamp Act that preceded the Revolutionary War.

The International Spy Museum was a bit controversial.  Mrs.LL and the kids loved it.  I found it just so-so.  It was a bit short on actual artefacts.  Though it did have the ice pick Mercador used to kill Trotsky.  So actually, . . . that was pretty fucking cool.  But unlike other museums in town, it's not free.  And at $30/head, I was a bit underwhelmed.  It helped that we got free admission for two of us with the suite through the hotel.

Ford's Theater is one of my favs, with Lincoln's death bed across the street.  Art galleries--SAM and Portrait Gallery, head to the top.  Check out the tower in the Old Post Office--Trump couldn't buy it, so it remained public and free.    Udvar-Hazy is bad ass.  I love the National Zoo bird house and monkey house. but get there early or don't go.  Also, if you get a chance, the Arboretum is awesome--with the bonsai trees and the original capital columns.  I eat and drink on my side of town--best bbq (Texas 2Fifty and grab a beer at the market). Several other breweries nearby as well or get cheap food at Franklins Brewery.  But this is Maryland, and you didn't come to DC to go to the Maryland suburbs.  But if you're going to the National Arboretum, it's not too far away.  Renwick gallery is pretty neat as well, and not far from you.

So, it just occurred to me...

If the previous President did anything close to what many are thinking and many are proclaiming, there is real knowledge of it somewhere. There are agencies and departments that know things about just about everything, and this dude isn't the best at hiding what's going on, so it's known.

So with that, if he really did do bad things, we're already screwed. Right?

Edit: Fuck my reading skills--they don't care.  Facts and science aren't in their favor, so they create their own, which the press discusses at length.
