  1. Langford with a nicely placed double.
  2. Vince has better luck in Dallas bar fights.
  3. So you lived here and voted for something that actually was never put up for a vote because the Dallas County commissioners didn't want it added to the November ballot and risk Dallas voters voting straight party at the time and voting them out of office? It didn't fail, Jerry walked away because the best deal he could get was with Arlington. Arlington gave him whatever he wanted like all the parking revenue and he used Dallas to get exactly that. And it's funny you're upset about something a city you don't even live in chooses to spend money on for two teams you don't even go to games for. Never mind this was part of a larger bond to fix up the entirety of Fair Park, not just the Cotton Bowl. So it's not just the City spending money on one stadium for one game a year.
  4. If I had to guess, I bet that is seating that goes under the lip of the 2nd level by the tunnel on the OU end. When I did the stadium tour way back in 2008, they take you up to that area because it connects to other parts of the stadium. They said it had room for some box seats to go in. I'll see if I can dig up a photo from back then. They might have room under the lip of the 2nd level on the Texas side endzone as well. They are premium seats because you're not in the elements.
  5. Saw this blurb that renovations are about to begin. Groundbreaking ceremony is Thursday. Renovations Are Set to Begin at the Cotton Bowl Posted on March 23, 2024 Courtesy WFAA (WBAP/KLIF) – The project costs $140 million dollars and aims to both enhance the visitor experience and modernize some aspects of the stadium. The renovation includes expanding the upper concourse, adding escalators increasing the number of restrooms and concession stands, installing new premium seating, and improving the stadium’s wi-fi signal. The Cotton Bowl renovations will be conducted in two phases. The first phase should be completed in time for the State Fair of Texas and the Red River Rivalry. (Copyright 2024 WBAP/KLIF. Desert Racer is no more. We enjoyed the couple times we went. https://dallas.eater.com/2024/3/25/24111378/desert-racer-lower-greenville-closed
  7. Good. I didn't want that piece of shit speaking to Congress and trying to ignore what Biden is asking of Israel. I'm typically team Israel but they have to be forced to agree to the ceasefire.
  8. The incoherent scribblings on his Football Man notepad are impressive. GMing the hell out of this offseason
  9. Good for OP to get cleared out and get this done. I've thought he's been full of shit for years. HIOOOOOOOOO! Has anyone done the doodoo box?
  10. He really should have gone the whole 9 yards and done this press conference from on the cross.
  11. I'd imagine he stayed in the house while the others including the wife moved on. Then he dies at the house, they all come back for his funeral and our story begins....
  12. We saw it yesterday. It's fun. Unnecessary but fun. Glad Winston got his time to shine. They really don't need to keep making these though but I think it made 45 million this weekend so it will keep happening. There is a bit too much nostalgia in it but I knew that going in. Bringing back Peck, the library dude, the mood slime. I did enjoy the real life Ghostbusters merch and songs being tossed into their world. They also had a funny reference to the horrible Statue of Liberty plot line from the 2nd one. It's a fun popcorn flick and that's okay. I actually enjoyed the storyline with Phoebe and the ghost.
  13. Chick-fil-a about to enshit their chicken. Chick-Fil-A backtracks from its no-antibiotics-in-chicken pledge, blames projected supply shortages BY THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Updated 5:44 PM CDT, March 24, 2024 Share ATLANTA (AP) — The fast-food chain Chick-Fil-A backtracked from its decade-old “no antibiotics ever” pledge intended to help prevent human antibiotic resistance linked to the rampant use of the drugs in livestock production. Instead, the company said in a statement that it will embrace a standard known as “no antibiotics important to human medicine,” often abbreviated as NAIHM, which entails the avoidance of medications commonly used to treat people and limits the use of animal antibiotics to cases of actual animal illness. Livestock producers have long used antibiotics to boost rapid weight gain in animals such as chickens, pigs, cows and sheep, improving the profitability of their businesses. Over the past decade, however, many nations, including the United States, have begun to restrict the practice as evidence mounted that it was contributing to drug resistance and reducing the effectiveness of antibiotics against disease in humans. Chick-Fil-A said it will begin shifting to the new policy in the spring of 2024. A company spokesman added that the move reflects company concerns about its ability to acquire sufficient supplies of antibiotic-free chicken. One of the poultry industry’s largest companies, Tyson Foods, said last year that it was reintroducing some antibiotics to its chicken production and removing its “No Antibiotics Ever” package labeling. It began to eliminate antibiotics from some of its poultry production in 2015. In a May 2023 video featured on the Tyson Foods YouTube channel, Tyson’s senior director of animal welfare, Karen Christensen, described the shift as “based on scientific research and industry learnings.” She noted that Tyson planned to begin using antibiotics known as ionophores, which don’t play a role in human medicine, to “improve the overall health and welfare of the birds in our care.” Ionophores have long been used to promote growth in livestock. by Taboola
  14. Thought this was an interesting chart. The Big 10 is so top heavy and it's amazing how much Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State got a giant contract for the rest.
  15. If he had competent shooters who didn't turn the ball over on inbounds + not having a flagrant foul machine giving the other team a 5 point play, we would've been going into week 2 this year.
