  1. When Hamilton retires, I’ll bump Lando up. I started following him when he was in F2. I hope the pressure and shitty last 5 races or so don’t get to him. He’s a damn good driver. I’ll still be a Merc fan. The way the operate is awesome to me. With Russel being there, I’ll pull for him as well.
  2. Thank you. “It’s Jarv!!!!”
  3. I used to know Lando’s engineers name, but he moved over to Indy. Lewis has a script for when he drives. A buddy that I text with during races and I bet on when and how often tires are discussed. It’s his radio chatter. It’s dumb. It also works. His radio chatter to his engineer - whether serious or not - works for them. I don’t dislike Max. Don’t follow him. I don’t like Red Bull. I like Perez, which sucks, because he drives for Red Bull.
  4. If I want it that bad, I’ll get it after market. Wife’s BMW has auto start. I’ve used it once.
  5. Die hard Merc / Lewis fan, but also like Lando and Daniel a bunch, as well as Sainz. Lando beating Lewis would be awesome. I like McLaren as a team. I switch between Merc and McLaren gear at COTA on race weekends.
  6. You’re fixated on Lewis. Sainz lost out, as did Tsunoda and anyone else that was fighting for any points. Why didn’t Sainz get to go for the win? Massi didn’t fuck up a decision between two drivers - he fucked the whole field, minus Max.
  7. You’re right - Max and Red Bull fans and folks that hate Lewis and Merc are fine with the ends justifying the means.
  8. That’s a step in the right direction
  9. Bruh - over taking off track - I say he was pushed. That’s a subjective call. Changing the fucking regulations at the end of a race is a whole different thing. The entire fan base of F1 has said it was bullshit. But, hey - Lewis lost, so the end justifies the means for you.
  10. Massi really fucked up. This should be a fun off season and I hope Merc pushes the issue. Massi needs to go and the regulations need to be followed (all of them, including the track is the white fucking lines). ”There’s a requirement in the sporting regulations to wave all the lapped cars past,” he later told Motorsport Week. That was 2020 after the Eifel GP. Maybe he didn’t understand the definition of requirement.
  11. The average American doesn’t have a clue what the fed does.
  12. Justify giving the military MORE than they asked for when the olds in the US can’t get dental care. Please - proceed. I really don’t give a flying fuck if that’s what we spend on the military. BUT - the agreement that any spending on the people is too much is bullshit. Manchin saying that increasing Medicare to cover dental is too much is a fucking joke. I saw something yesterday that said 1/4 of the people over 65 in HIS state don’t have teeth. The protectionism of our bloated military budget needs to change.
  13. I did not know that. Thank you. Then, I’m even less interested now. I thought it was a judgement thing race to race based on the stewards. How hard is it to follow the fucking rules when you’re the guy enforcing them. Judgement calls (who owned a corner) are similar to PI calls in football. I can get over those. But, an out right ignoring of rules week to week makes no sense to me.
  14. Is there a rule that overrules the white line by saying track limits are defined weekly? If not, then why the fuck have rules in the first place. Damn, Massi and Liberty have made a mess of things. I don’t remember Charlie (right?) being THIS involved in races.
  15. Which rules were re-written or ignored? The decision to run laps behind a safety car and call it half points was not a re-writing or ignoring of rules. It was a shit show, sure. https://www.racefans.net/2021/08/30/f1-to-discuss-rules-changes-in-response-to-belgian-gp-controversy/
  16. Point out a rule he’s re-written - a procedure rule, not a judgement call on who was in a corner first or giving back an advantage. A procedure of “lapped cars unlap and then on the next lap safety car pits” rule. One that doesn’t hand a race and a championship to one driver, doesn’t give the opportunity to a third driver to also fight for a win, and doesn’t allow other cars to unlap and fight for last points.
  17. Why waste time reforming rules if the race director is just going to ignore them and make it up as he goes?
  18. I’ve been watching since 2014 and don’t remember anything of that level. Maybe Alonso earlier this year helping Ocon win.
  19. $750 billion a year to the military industrial complex can go before we start taking poor peoples money away.
  20. Decisions on who was in a corner first are different from chunking the rule book out the window to manufacture a last lap between only two drivers.
  21. He looks like a muppet and then this came out.
  22. If Max had won on merit alone, fine, he wins. He’s still a muppet, but he’s a WDC with no controversy. Massi ignored rules to manufacture an opportunity for Max to win. It taints the win. It puts the legitimacy into arguments for a long time. As someone else said - why have rules if they can be flat changed at the race directors whim??
