  1. Thanks for the post, @luke duke. Glad the imgur site is still active! The Daily Texan now has their full (I think?) archives available as pdfs and my plan is to get all the Nutty cartoons and add them to my imgur site. The ones there currently are only what I clipped out from back in the day. Also, I have no relation to the artist. I'm just a fan. Texan Archives - https://hdl.handle.net/2152/21545 TEETS!
  2. S3 has 8 eps and the first two come out on 10/20.
  3. I liked the first season a lot, thought it was a fun idea. The second season was a bit disappointing because it was so short, only 6 episodes. It ended just as it was starting to get interesting. I'm happy to see that S3 will happen soon.
  4. Clemson’s popularity is spread through the whole region. I moved to Chapel Hill, NC in 2006 and even back then - pre-recent championships, pre-Dabo as HC - Clemson was easily the 4th most popular team in the area. Other than the obvious UNC/Duke/NC State fans, even back then I saw way more Clemson gear than any other school. It’s significantly increased in the years since Dabo’s been coach.
  5. “Hobo” is the original lyric from Saints & Sinners. “Drifter” is from the well-known 1987 album.
  6. This "Alliance" is a joke. Remember when the B1G and Pac12 had a scheduling alliance? How long did that last, 1 year? Not only is this a bunch of nothing, but these 3 conferences are stupid af if they don't want to expand the playoffs. I guess they forgot that ESPN runs the playoff. It'll be easy to see many upcoming playoffs look like Texas-Bama-Clemson-Notre Dame or some variation. B1G and Pac12 get left out. It's a very short-sighted move by those two conferences. Also, what the fuck is the ACC thinking? You want to send Clemson and FSU away to the SEC, this is a good way.
  7. If it's set up for 4 groups (I hate the term "pod") similar to this, then the best way is for it to be two from each group one year followed by the other two teams the next year. None of that 2-and-2 shit that the old Big XII used to do. I hated skipping teams 2 years in a row in the old North division. The entire conference would be better off if every team played every other team within a 2 year span - more unity, more potential rivalries, more great football games every year,
  8. So if this ends up being our last season in the Big XII, which it looks like it will, let's win the fucking conference. We won the first one, let's win the last one.
  9. If this happens, I'll miss the Big XII. I've enjoyed playing OSU, ISU & KSU and of course renewing the rivalry against TCU even though we've sucked ass since they joined. Our games with WVU were developing into a fun rivalry and it's going to suck as a fan to not play Tech anymore. However, the prospect of playing OU, Arky, LSU and those losers from College Station every year...plus the occasional games against Bama, Georgia, Florida, Auburn & Tennessee...you can't pass that up. That's a LOT of great football.
  10. Worst ending is Euron on the throne and everyone else dead. Well, the Mountain lives too.
  11. I loved watching the "sounds of the game" broadcast for the championship game last night. Made it so much more enjoyable to not have to listen to Herbie and Fowler drone on and on. Also, no commercials! I noticed that the game felt less hyped than a standard TV broadcast and I really liked it. The play on the field is enough excitement and you don't need anyone else telling you how great the game is. I was sad that there were no replays at first, but I appreciated that it made me pay more attention. There was this calm for the whole broadcast that you just don't get from TV announcers and the bumper music. That was a fantastic way to watch the game.
  12. Alabama and Georgia will get in the playoff if they have 1 loss. Ohio State also gets one freebie loss and Clemson probably does too. Every other team, including ND, has to be perfect or they won't get in...unless one of the other four has 2 losses. The CFP committee will bend over backwards to make sure a 1-loss Bama, OSU or Georgia get in without question. Teams like ND, WV, Washington, Colorado don't get the same benefit of the doubt. You either have to be perfect or hope someone else loses 2 games.
  13. I saw it in Dobie when they ran it every day for what seemed like a year. I had seen it before, around when it came out, but it was extra cool to see it in the little Dobie theater. Great movie, still one of my favorites. Party at the Moontower.
  14. Yeah, it felt like it went on for 10 minutes.
