  1. Ahhh, one of those Jimbo Special games, seems like he didn't lose a beat
  2. More of a testament of Cam Newton than anything regarding Gene Chizek IMHO, my point is that if a terrible coach can go undefeated at place which went winless within a few years, the place is more valuable than one thought haha
  3. Yet Scott Frost some how won a championship there, if that's not a sign UCF is a power nothing is
  4. Ummm... What? I guess Leaf is desperate for traffic?
  5. I agree with you, it makes the B1G look weak IMHO
  6. ACC pulled off two teams last season with ND and Clemson
  7. No worries, had a feeling that may have been your intention to include them but I honestly had to double check to make sure for U Dub. I like the idea of those who are proven in the pools within the modern era and call it day, but at the same time I kinda feel that College Football requires a "Class System" to survive; otherwise it is essentially an NFL lite and will lose its charm.
  8. Would also cut out Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Washington, and others. Honestly feel that Washington deserves a seat at the table over Oregon, the O in the middle of Autzen means Zero National Championships after all.
  9. Buddy went to UF (has a National Championship Ring) same time when Leak was QB under Urban, same bullshit of Leak and the other players never going to class and many being illiterate. Something about stones and glass houses... Otherwise I didn't know that y'all cared this much to dunk on Bobby after he just passed away, thought y'all were the class of the SEC?
  10. Great coach, but was a better man; he will be missed.
  11. In 1981 they went through a gauntlet Bowden coined Octoberfest; they played at Ohio State, at Notre Dame, at Pitt, and at LSU all back to back. They won most of those games, just lost to Dan Marino Pitt. Crazy to think FSU had schedules like that 40 years ago.
  12. I agree, when I lived there always thought that a MLB team in San Antonio would kill it. Used to go to the games that HEB would put on at the Alamodome, was always a good time.
  13. San Antonio is that desperate dude on Tinder who constantly swipes right on any chance for a franchise. Kinda hope they get one eventually
  14. I always thought Texas wasn't the South too. When I lived in San Antonio the girl I dated there truly believed that Texas was the South. Always felt that Texas is more of its own identity the longer I lived there.
  15. Ahhh the Texas/Ohio St/Texas/Bama//FSU/USC/etc... are evil villains argument. I just assumed if they hate you, embrace it. It just means those other fan bases are jealous of ya
  16. His son Terry said it was pancreatic cancer, that really sucks. Glad Bobby is in good spirits during this all, he is a great guy and wish him the best on his remaining days. Thanks Bobby for building FSU, we would be nothing without you.
  17. The only case I can think of is South Carolina leaving the ACC to go independent due to North Carolina Hubris, or Chicago leaving the Big.
  18. I agree that the Big XII would be harder opponent wise for Nebraska; however I believe Nebraska recruiting would more than likely improve in the Big XII due to having greater exposure within the State of Texas. Arkansas would have an easier schedule due to being out of the SEC West. Either team will be in a premier league so a 10-2 Arky/ Nebbers would probably have a much higher probability in a hypothetical Big XII vs their current homes with an expanded playoffs.
  19. Just 41 more days till the season kicks off. To celebrate, here are the top 15 Nebraska Scott Frost wins
  20. 2012 is all that matters hahaha!
  21. Not sure why Texas or OU would want to leave the Big XII when they are in better position to remain kings of their domain. If I was the Big XII I would push Nebraska and Arkansas to join the conference. I am sure both school will display hubris on being in a "better" conference; however both know in their hearts that they belong in the Big XII due to historic rivalries, geographical fit, and most importantly having a better chance to actually make the playoffs.
  22. Looks like there is still some rent free living in his head.
  23. Very true, they are a delusional bunch who seems to routinely throw logic out the window. I do find it amazing how they overbid for a coach who is clearly regressing. Jimbo benefited from a special time at FSU where all the football programs around them were down, they acquired a few generational players in key positions due to down recruiting at the neighboring programs, and a period of time before the ACC transitioned into a decent football league. Jimbo has always been arrogant; but this period really ramped it up and I don't see that true piece of him ever disappearing. I don't expect for him to be going "full aggy" for much longer due to his proud nature; however I am looking forward to the inevitable meltdown\faction wars between him, the fan base, and the university's administration. I said it before and I will say it again, Thank you A&M for getting rid of this cancer from FSU; while he helped to build up FSU in a down period, he was never equipped to continue a juggernaut pace after a few years. It will be a lot of fun to watch this all unfold after season 2 when they inevitable finish at the 7-5 area and all the aggy faithful begin to question their new lord and savior. Grab your popcorn; the aggy\jimbo rollercoaster will be grand in 2020.
  24. Honestly everything you said helps them in recruiting (which is probably more important in the grand scheme for their future) Texas really needs to get back to winning again so it can further halt aggy recruiting. Otherwise I would also throw in that they play South Carolina every year too, I know Muschamp got a lot of criticism while at UF but I always thought he was still learning the ropes there and ultimately met his end at Gainesville. Muschamp will still get a lot of quality players on his team because he is a great recruiter; so I wouldn't rule out South Carolina giving aggy some fits in the next couple of seasons and beyond. Otherwise your concern is warranted upon them acquiring good talent, I feel they are primed to do well in that arena; however their current team is going to have some growing pains the next two seasons for sure. Oddly I can see aggy giving Jimbo a pass if he does mediocre his first two seasons because I can see him doing well in recruiting. Jimbo will be known as a builder at FSU and was far from a maintainer. I can see him doing the same at aggy, and peaking around year 4 or 5; however he will regress shortly after (assuming he is still there).
