  1. Was it really sweet? Looks like molasses is one of the ingredients.
  2. Except those bastards at Knorr recently changed the recipe for their chicken bouillon. They added more corn starch and removed the cooked chicken power. I noticed the difference right away after tasting something and without comparing the old label with the new one.
  3. Was Gatti's in the Trader Joe's center? Is this a ghost kitchen? What kind of food is it?
  4. I remember when the most annoying thing about him was arguing with Mark May and Lou Holtz back in the day.
  5. Correct. Acting like it was a great win. That’s the part of the season we’re in.

    Burgers

The breakfast taco/pizza place at the Tarrytown HEB makes a pretty good burger.
  7. Yes, it's where the pizza place was between the jewelry store and the massage place. Basic internet sleuthing says that the owner used to be a manager at Maudie's and then Cisco's.
  8. I have 2 tickets in Sec 1, Row 3 for Friday if anyone wants them.
  9. Yeah, nothing left in or around Ann Arbor. I booked a hotel in Dearborn.
  10. So now you're bitching about/conflating cinnamon, which is staple in interior Mexican food, to offal served by Ferris Bueller's best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend who heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw some meat that something was bad?

    Tacos

Recently did this Cuantos-Ensenada combo with 2 carnitas and 2 fish tacos. Glorious.

    Asian

I haven't had better Thai in Austin than Dee Dee and it's not close. Closest thing Austin has to Houston's Street to Kitchen, which was nominated for a James Beard award.

    Tex Mex

I wouldn't call it Tex-Mex. Their main combo plate is cochinita pibil with a mole enchilada. There's no Tex-Mex chili gravy, no queso, no tamales, no crispy beef tacos, etc. Which is fine, but it's one of the those schizophrenic interior Mexican places that feels the need to do some Tex Mex (fajitas, nachos, enchiladas) to appeal to the masses, which aren't exactly the best things on the menu.
  14. Apparently Nazis in Ft Worth like them some Torchy's.
  15. Catering talk not going away.
  16. What days do they have the porchetta?
