  1. It’s a Cosby sweater! A COSSSBY sweater!!
  2. Was that the most cast/guest laugh breakdowns in any SNL episode?
  3. I thought it was tremendous - one of the more visceral movie experiences I have had in a while yet also takes the same, somewhat detached perspective as do its war journalist protagonists. As others have noted, it is clearly and intentionally non-partisan as you can't figure out what exactly are the "sides" that the warring groups have taken (or even, during some encounters, who are on which side). Especially after having seen it, I extra role my eyes at those criticizing it as being "divisive". I don't see how anyone but the snowiest of snowflakes sees it as somehow "attacking" their side.
  4. Agreed and delicious chowder fries there
  5. For me, I think the real hook (beyond the awesome/naturally funny way she delivers her lines) is the use of the word "scrounging"
  6. Loved the finale and will really miss the gift that was this show. The Wanda Sykes talk reminded me of one of my favorite scenes and I think of her line at the end every time I see her: “What you been doing? Scrounging around looking for asses?”
  7. Yes, definitely stop off in Santa Barbara along the way and check out Stearns Wharf and the harbor. Also along the way Solvang is a unique Danish-themed town. If you like the movie Sideways, it was mainly filmed/set in the Solvang/Buellton/Santa Ynez area. Depending on when you are traveling there, you should check to see if there will be a rocket launch at Vandenberg Space Force Base. in and around SLO, I agree you definitely should check out Morro Rock and the area along the bay there (where you can almost always see otters and seals hanging out). I also like the little micro-town that is Avila Beach (and go check out the Pirate's Cove). Pismo Beach is also nearby and Dinosaur Cave Park is very pretty and there is Pismo Preserve right by it. North of Morro Bay, I would highly recommend Hearst Castle and the nearby Elephant Seal rookery (hundreds of seals every time I have been there). If you are into hiking, look into the Tri-Tip Challenge.
  8. Checked out a newish Dallas brewery (opened 4 months ago): Jaquval Brewing in Bishop Arts. Good beers, good sandwiches and very British pub vibes. Recommended.
  9. Can't recall if they mentioned it in the doc or if I am remembering it from his book but his father was an aspiring actor.
  10. He was hard on Ack Ack but only because he loved him
  11. And he’s a “cooler” not a bouncer…

  13. Also she is the remake’s Kathleen Wilhoite The movie is pretty much exactly what you think it is: just dumb, kinda fun, unnecessary and empty calories
