  1. Zeihan says the conflict will be isolated between Israel, Hamas and maybe Iran. Other players will have a proxy rome, but WW3 ain't happening.
  2. Quan is still close friends with several members of the Goonies cast like Sean Astin and Corey Feldman, but primarily Jeff Cohen, who fans know as "Chunk." Cohen is now a successful entertainment lawyer who represents Quan, and was of course involved in his contract for Everything Everywhere All at Once. "We'll be friends for life. He's my Goonies brother," says the actor. "In fact, my [Everything Everywhere] producer told me a really funny story the other day. He said never in his life did he think that he would have to talk to Chunk to get Data to be in his movie. I thought that was hilarious."
  3. Sending it to a GA might get you looped into the same rule. Just post it on Twitter late on Friday. Let the GA get it from there. Weird rule, but a clear rule. And rules must be enforced. Old rules that don't make the game less watchable, or risk player safety are cool. There's a simple fix to all this: sub one player every time, and have him walk the play to the huddle. Can't steal that.
  4. So teams they play the rest of the season can change their gameplan?
  5. There are two things here. 1) Stealing signs in-game. Likely very common, not against the rules, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. 2) Sending agents to other games to steal signs and bring details home. Probably(?) common? Clearly against the rules. Coach Harbaugh stands accused of #2. Punishment will be meted out. Likely not a big punishment, and likely not until 2024.
  6. That kinda self-awareness is antithetical to Aggy culture too.
  7. Outside the office political donations, tweets, etc. are fine, so long as the tweets aren't hateful. They gotta understand that if their expressed political views run counter to a significant number of employees/customers, there could be boycots and such. Politics at work? 100% no. Maybe take a Ukrainian or Jewish employee aside 1:1 and offer your support. Our company will match donations to the legit Ukrainian charities which is cool too.
  8. Ohio State huddled most/all plays when we played them in 2020.
  9. Stealing offensive signs makes a big difference for sure, but what if they knew the defense's plays as well? Iirc, our offense did OK against Michigan last year but our defense got torched. Torched on big plays. Sparty's original, "We can't play them because it's dangerous," statement is very week. Just huddle and have a WR walk the play in. Yeah it would be very dumb if he spied on everyone, not just the good teams. But Harbaugh is on the autism spectrum somewhere. Don't put it past him.
  10. Launch 3 shitbox missiles against a US Navy destroyer? Are these guys some kinda death cult?
  11. $95 oil means Jimbo gets fired. I can dig it.
  12. The bondholders were offered to receive money in Belarusian rubles, but, according to the investors, this money did not reach them in full.
  13. Ahhh, Surly gonna Surly. Backpacking in Gaza is a mistake and will inevitably lead to problems. But "deserve your fate" matters little to our government. It has been a long standing policy, one i agree with, to make serious effort to rescue hostages. Certainky we don't try quite as hard for a Gazan backpacker as we do for nuns in an AIDS hospice somewhere, but still. We're gonna try to rescue every one of those idiots.
  14. Weird. Surprised a Chinese company wasn't more well run.
  15. I'm not a fan of tricks like that, but I'll begrudgingly support it.
  16. So when you get ejected from a game, you're banned from NFL games for life, right?
