  1. Rider error. Target fixation, if you want. My mind wandered, I was over the white line in a curve when I "woke up". We weren't cooking, more semi-spirited I guess. I remember thinking, "ride this bitch out, don't give up". Then I was trying to stand up in a ravine. I did talk them out of a helicopter ride, even while being adamant that Trump was President (he wasn't).
  2. Thanks, that was last July near Jasper Arkansas. Compression fracture T7, hairline crack T5, seven fractured ribs...., all good now. 890 Duke R was totalled. Kept my mileage down last year. Average 10/15k a year, little over 7 last year.
  3. No affiliation, and no real knowledge, but these guys popped up on TWTex.com recently https://www.deltavrider.com/ Spot on about classes and gear. I wear Motoport, Klim, or my track suit. Depending on what, where, and when. Buy a helmet that fits! I'm cursed with a long oval head, only found a couple that I can wear all day. Gear works, ATGATT!
  4. First it ate my edit, then it was too late to edit......screw it, tasted like shit anyway
  5. I used Streetside Classics to sell my Lightning a few years ago. Highly recommend for selling, process was basically painless. https://www.streetsideclassics.com/locations/dallas They have a huge selection of classic cars on site for sale. It's worth walking around just to see what they have. I suspect the buying process is pretty easy too. Just because, my old Lightning in a vid they did for the ad. https://www.streetsideclassics.com/vehicles/4913-dfw/2001-ford-f-150-svt-lightning
  6. 38 seconds. That's how far we made it into the movie she insisted we watch before she asked me to pause it.
  7. clean your drains, especially the kitchen sink.
  8. While peeling the back off a salonpas to put on my back, "which side goes against your skin?"
  9. Hah, it's too quiet in here, turns on TV, leaves room. It was not too quiet, turned TV off.
  10. Chilling with my European girls. Well, one's Indian with an Austrian name.
  11. "semiocre". As opposed to mediocre.
  12. I have this one https://hessaire.com/products/mc61m-mc61v-m250 It's not a/c, but it helps in my garage.
  13. Produce out of Mexico is being severely affected.
  14. "Thirty-two or zero, doesn't matter. Freezing is freezing. We need to drip the faucets."
  15. Pretty sure it was this show https://srvarchive.com/gigs/19840721 Tickets were a fiasco as described in article. Not sure how I could confuse KWS with Angela Strehli, old age now and good drugs then. Thought I saw SRV at the Bronco Bowl too, now not so sure🥴
  16. Well shit, the internet tell me you're right. Wonder who that was? And yet another thing my memory is wrong about.
  17. Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joel, Yes, George Benson, Robert Cray, Foreigner, Tom Petty, Don Williams/Anne Murray. I'm sure there were others I can't recall right now. Joe Ely, Asleep At The Wheel, Delbert McClinton at Gruene Hall. Probably others as well. SRV several times at different places, with Kenny Wayne Shepherd once. Fabulous Thunderbirds somewhere. Delbert (again) at Clubfoot. Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff, Leroy Parnell, Delbert (again) at the Austin Opry House. Saw Boston at the aggie gym, that was bad acoustics.
  18. No affiliation. 50cc is going to be painfully underpowered for a hack. https://advrider.com/f/threads/2019-honda-monkey-125-w-abs-and-sidecar-rig.1505536/#post-42473692
  19. Don't know why, but I've always preferred DeMaria's to Jaspers. Don't dislike Jaspers, I'll just pick DeMaria's more times than not.
  20. Agree. If vacuum seal is still tight and it was kept refrigerated, it's fine.
