  1. This thread should be dead. Fire Shaka. If you argue, then you're probably retarded.
  2. The only/final post necessary for this thread: Shaka should be fired for virtually everything that has done or hasn't done. He's brought nothing to the program except recruits that have been underdeveloped. We might have the least conceived offense in the country due to our 'lets have someone dribble around until maybe something happens' philosophy (if you could consider it as much). Texas will be a failure to unwarranted expectations until Shaka is gone. It almost wouldn't matter who replaced him at this point. He's already prove himself incapable of coaching in a high expectation environment. He inherited the VCU team that was successful that graced him with national esteem. He's proven nothing but disappointment since. Cut our losses and move on should be the decision for Texas basketball if a contending future is something we are after.
  3. Yeah, no matter what he says now or later, he's still an awful coach. His players won't "buy-in" and even if they did, Shaka's system isn't built to succeed. I realize that Goo (Derka) would rather he have real criticism (not shitting but areas of concern and ways to fix them) of the players but it doesn't matter. We are going to be a worse team this year and because we've waited so long to recognize our coaching situation and correct it, Texas Basketball won't be relevant for at least another 4 years. Sucks
  4. Was just talking to my buddy about Turner and Allen. He had no idea they went to Texas. I wondered why? Still good to see those guys develop. They both have a ton of upside. Oh, and Bort - The Rockets had enough guards ahead of Isiah. They believed that spot better spent on a bigger position. Not that I wouldn't want him on our bench but I'm sure that was the thought process.
  5. I think that when evaluating a coach that's had 3 years to show what kind of program he's capable of building you have to look at the evolution of the players (that stay) within the scheme. Not a single guy truly thrived this year. Spurts here and there from Young and Roach. Also AJ before he went out. These kids, try as they might, were far too often, headless chickens. The amount of games that I watched an unprepared team take the floor and be outplayed and outcoached at nearly every facit of the game was unacceptable. And next year could potentially ruin recruitment for a few years..... But on the bright side, I just saved 15% on my car insurance
  6. Shaka hasn't brought any of the "Havoc" that was promised and he's already had a Texas roster to do it with Prince, Isiah, and co.. He's a failure. And next year is going to be so much worse.
  7. I'm here for the Derka (Goo Punch) memes
