  1. I read this thread and listen to coffee and football, but otherwise don't know shit. From that vantage point, it feels like we have a plan and are executing for all positions except for DB. Am I wrong?
  2. If true, he is going to recruit about as well as Tom Herman did at the end of his run at Texas. Players recruit players.
  3. "Elko is officially doing what we thought Jimbo was doing but have since learned otherwise" is just amazing.
  4. Not necessarily. I you don't check it and you are a good player, you are going to be bombarded with calls from every school. Better to check the box and then reach out to the schools you are actually interested in, correct? But also lol at NCAA and tampering.
  5. It is On3. They take into account both additions and subtractions, whereas the #2 ranking is because they added so many guys. https://www.on3.com/transfer-portal/team-rankings/football/2024/ A&M is #44 with an index score of 0, meaning they broke even. Texas is #9 with a score of +30, because even though we lost 15, the 8 we brought it were much better.
  6. Uhh...you really think that is the end of this drama
  7. There is a part of me that is expecting to be disappointed at the end of next season with the DBs being more athletic, but just never really reaching their potential due to lackluster coaching. I will throw that out there if anyone wants some rain to counter the sunshine.
  8. Uhh, him playing football at the University of Texas this fall?
  9. So basically now instead of saying to recruits player X received $100k last year, and we view you similarly *wink wink*, they can just say we are willing to offer you $100k? Doesn't seem like a huge deal. Would this also prevent the NCAA from banning NIL contracts that tie the athlete to a specific school? That actually seems like a NCAA rule that was thought up as a way to somehow limit inducement, but ends up benefiting the players by preventing them from signing away their freedom to transfer without penalty.

  11. I just started Act 3 yesterday. Combat did get easier once around level 3 or so as characters could get special abilities and better gear. I mostly stick to the Shadowheart/Lae'zel/Karlach team, because my character is mainly ranged, so every need is filled. There are more characters that can be recruited Act 2.
  12. It's been discussed that for Texas at least NIL will not be handed out as readily for unproven players. Will our NIL advantage show up in portal recruiting moreso than high school?
  13. The titles sound impressive, but basically these people just coordinate visits and make sure the coaches contact the kids often and have the talking points, right? There is a whole other team doing player evaluations and roster management, right? Right???
