  1. We went to Mister Charles two weeks ago and loved every bit of it. There are more options than the menu above. It was probably a top 5 Dallas food experience for me, from the starter to the dessert. Excellent staff and great people watching. The table next to us shared the Lamb Wellington, which is cut table side. I cant wait to go back and try more of the menu.
  2. I am so jealous...of the self medication and drinking part.
  3. I pulled both of my kids (7&8) out of school for the eclipse. When we finally got to 1:40p, I told them to take their glasses off and stare at the sun. We had ~40 secs of totality before a cloud obstructed our view. I knelt behind them in their chairs in silence. It did get a little dusty for me. Not so much for them.

  5. You sound like a Rashee Rice truther.
  6. Hot air balloon rentals are booming, per sources.
  7. "Bringin it back to spoooorts."
  8. We booked our first Disney cruise for Thanksgiving. I'm excited and scared all at the same time.
  9. Just to illustrate the importance of this event and the masses it will bring, Georges in Waco will be open on SUNDAY. Not even the Super Bowl has that kinda power.
  10. Public transportation is gonna be your issue. We did Kalua Beach Day Club. Its got a mixture of day beds/cabanas further away from the water and near the bar, and chairs/umbrellas that run right up to the waters edge. There's a nice rock to swim out to when its time to cool off. ...and also a gold AK47 you can shoot champagne out of, if you were wondering
  11. "A man, a plan, a canal. Panama." is a palindrome.
  12. What kinda thing are you in to? Day Club? Just lunch? Touristy stuff? Wind surfing?
  13. Worst line at Copper was 3-4 minutes.
  14. Just got back from Frisco, CO/Copper Mountain. Kids were signed up for lessons for 2 days, and daddy/daughters ski day on the 3rd day. Day 1 was great. Conditions were fine, but all of the talk was of the upcoming storm on Wednesday/Thursday. That evening my temperature rose to 104. I had the flu. Wednesday I tried my best and got 1.5 hours of skiing in, but i was bushed and slept the rest of the day while the kids were in lessons. Storm ended up dropping only 5" on Copper. Wednesday I went out with the kids for a half day, and they complained for the majority of that. The next morning we drove 13 hours straight back to Dallas. Spring Break '24 was kind of a beating, tbh.
  15. Leaving for Copper Mountain tomorrow morning. Last opportunity to ski for this season. Was really hoping this current storm would be an overproducer, but it looks to be an underproducer. Either way, ITS SPRING BREAK!
