  1. All true - but if you stuck it out that’s really the point of the show. He’s got issues - and the show is very self aware. He’s playing himself - he knows he’s got issues. If you crave attention so bad that she is appealing, you ain’t right.
  2. Abigail. Not as good as Ready or Not but definitely worth seeing. Agreed with others they messed up giving it away in the trailer. That kid (also in Matilda) is a little badass. She killed it.
  3. How old? Pre 1980? Can’t miss with any of these I don’t think. Apologies that some are obvious and you’ve probably seen. The Innocents Carnival of Souls What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? 4. I dated an immediate family member of a prominent actor in this movie. /csb
  5. Here are some of my favorites: - Dear Zachary (always been #1, I’ve been on all the social media updates since it came out.) - Capturing the Friedman’s (approaching a messed up family from the outside in) - Grizzly Man (big WH fan) - Nathan for You - Finding Francis - Some Kind of Heaven - Beyond Utopia - The Staircase (all of them) - Harlan County USA - King of Kong - Paradise Lost 1-3 - The Keepers - Cheshire Murders (rough)
  6. The Jinx 2 is out. If you are a true crime fan it’s Christmas.

My kids are camping out tonight to get the Chappell Roan LP. Couple things on that RSD I might be interested in.
  8. Lots of follow up docs on YouTube including one about Gary Robbins called “Where Dreams Go Go Die.”
  9. This is a great rec. Never heard of it and really enjoyed it.
  10. Got to throw out Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. Taco Bell scene is always with me.
  11. Throwing this out there again for emphasis - go see Hunter, Hunter and get back to me. That is the most FAFO I’ve ever seen in a movie.

My kids are going to Doc’s early Saturday for Record Store Day. I guess they release short run albums? Any of you have experience with this? I was looking on eBay and it seems you can get most from previous years close to same price.
  13. Baby Reindeer. Wow - that was unlike anything I’ve seen and I think it’s about to blow up. Was it amazing? Possibly. I need to process, it definitely wasn’t what I expected. The fact this is based on a true story and the guy is playing himself is incredible. I’m excited to see what Surly thinks.
  14. Just watched Pulp Fiction with the entire family at the Fort Worth Rooftop Theater last weekend. It was glorious. If you are in the area - that place is great. They play great movies 2-3 times a day everyday. Next weekend we were looking at Dirty Dancing, Almost Famous, and The Menu as a triple feature. You can basically set up camp and leave and go eat or get a drink and come back.
  15. The Prestige is incredible. I had the hardest time getting my kids to watch it all the way through but once they finally did - it was the biggest “holy shit that’s awesome” moment. Interstellar outranks it for me just a bit.
  16. Might be the second best team in the West right now. Playoffs are going to be fun I’m thinking.
  17. Was so ready to come on here and bash it - but I had fun. CM wasn’t nearly as bad as I was expecting. He was a cartoon but it worked for me.
  18. Loving it so far - lots of interesting directions to take it. Looking forward to the ride!
  19. Crazy that they all took the abusers side and Drake Bell has just lived with this all these years. I never watched any of this stuff - was after me - but that second episode reminded me that Amanda Bynes was crazy talented. Surprised she hasn’t sold her story yet.
  20. Saw it last night on the Dolby Immersive screen and was a good way to go. Audio was amazing. Movie completely lives up to the hype - especially the last hour. Zendaya didn’t work for me - no screen presence imo - just looked like a pouty teen (which I guess she was) - but something was missing for me.
  21. Beaches is my guilty pleasure. Pride and Prejudice (2005) and only because of how much I love it.
  22. I was about to start a thread for folks to post their best sandwich creations but saw this thread already existed. Let’s keep this going.
  23. Defensive holding could be the call of the year. 49ers were done.
  24. Great show last night. How many bands can tour and barely play any of their bigger songs and nobody gives a shit? That’s difficult to pull off. I’ve seen them several times so seen most of my favorites through the years - was very cool to experience Rosetta Stoned in person.
