Liquidate all my assets and move to Costa Rica to surf most days, fish on my custom sportfisher, maybe build a small mountain bike park, and solve a few local problems when I want to be productive. Y'all are on your own.

And with that amount of wealth, my wife will be cool with two side chicks at the same time.

I've got one of those renewable plans with free nights and weekends, and while the metered usage is higher than I'd like, we mostly time-shift our power hungry tasks (mainly laundry) to nights and weekends and it definitely makes an impact on our monthly bill

My buddy in Houston got one of these plans after he got his Tesla and started charging it and deep cooling at night.

It didn’t quite give him the savings he was after.

So he got two of the Tesla batteries installed (solar panels were back ordered)

He’d charge his car, batteries, and get his house down to like 65 at night. Use the battery during the day. His bill dropped by at least half.

They finally got his solar panels in and installed them.

It’s a rare month where he pays anything for electricity…. Which is nuts to say in Houston, Tx.

I don’t know what his ROI is for what he dropped…. But his feeling that he’s hacked the system gives him something that’s hard to quantify

Fox News and others on the right are probably getting nervous that she’ll turbofuck the House with the speaker bullshit just over 6 months out from the election, resulting in the Republicans looking even worse than they already do, or getting a Speaker who drives Dems or the polls, or even ending up with Speaker Extreme Hakeem. They are losing a Republican on Friday as it is, making the margin thinner.

The seemingly half court republican press (no pun intended) against her isn’t an accident.

  4. I’m not tied into this but there has to be a synergy in which you drop the price of electricity low enough to unlock economics for desal which then unlocks some further efficiencies in electricity production to lower cost and which then allows for pipeline operation further and further / replenishment of aquifers by pumping water back into them.

However, this feels like something of a 60’s space race style commitment by true statesmen, planners, and critical thinkers…. a true moonshot.

Going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume this was a dig at W.

Gonna need to figure out the water issue though.

If we only had an entire ocean / gulf on the east coast to harness …..

    Seriously though, you’re right.

You can’t decouple water and electricity. Any solution to one’s future needs the other and therefore the cost of each needs to be incorporated into the other and built out.
West Texas renewable energy to the triangle and beyond AND getting desalinated water from the coast to the triangle and farther west by using renewable energy is the circle we need to square.

The DJT stock isn't actually falling apart, it's moving towards it's actual valuation which is just very low.

I'm surprised that Truth Social hasn't announced that it's moving to be an AI company. I guess that is next week's press release.

They’re be something absolutely hilarious and dark about MAGA AI.

Modi/BJP to start elections soon. Gamblers are predicting a landslide, for a 3rd term, which is almost unprecedented, but he's that popular. His opponents are concerned he will veer into dictatorship if he is elected by the landslide.

Saw a stat over 49 MILLION new voters since the last election (turning of age) in India. The whole election process takes like 6 weeks and costs $8 Billion dollars, there are so many people and places.

    Crazy.

Oh, and India is still funding Russia and not even hiding it in the West's face, which is indirectly killing Ukranians and costing the West a ton of money in in aid and support. Doesn't seem like there are plans to stop either.

India doesn’t really give a shit about sustaining the old world order. Their aversion to the west due to colonialism isn’t surprising but also something that can really present a thorn when it comes to US foreign policy…. Which is crazy due to the fact that they’re the worlds largest democracy.

The night special is 16.90 for the first 4 hours.

Parking for 2 minutes negates the special and makes that >$2000/ hr for parking…thats astronomical. Even for New York.

Hard to keep up with this thread the last couple days. Have any of our criminal lawyer brethren opined on how this goes?

I’m betting there’s a sleeper maga juror, hung jury and it winds up n a mistrial where tfg walks. Because that’s how this timeline works.

Not a lawyer. And I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn Express either… so take this for what it is.

Even if he’s convicted, the novel application of the New York law that would make the filing of false business reports a felony will likely be overturned on appeal.

He never gets more than a misdemeanor for this.

But he does spend 2 months in a courtroom instead of running for President. The optics of him sitting in a courtroom are also pretty shitty.

Will people care come November? My guess is also no b/c in 2024, the recent past means 30 minutes ago.

I've posted extensively on this topic over the past couple of years, in various threads, because I live in Houstona and I see this shit first hand. He's been violating the laws of the Johnson act and tax exampt status qualifications for a long fucking time, but the last 2-3 years it has been FLAGRANT. No one does shit.

It’s sanctioned by a Supreme Court who believes that separation of church and state means the state separates itself and allows the church to do itself whatever it wants.

I don't know. I feel bad for the victim, of course, especially since he was trying to help out as a Good Samaritan. But on the aggregate, big boys that carry guns seem to have this idea that guns will help in these kinds of situations. They get puffed up and have bravado because of them. Then they wind up escalating a situation because they are wielding a gun, and shit goes sideways, and then they get hurt or die. If he hadn't busted out his pistol and tried to go Clint Eastwood, there wouldn't have been multiple bullets flying around the Burger King parking lot and there wouldn't have been an out of control driver  speeding through an area packed with cars and pedestrians. It's a miracle that no one else got hurt.

Keep your ass out of it and let the authorities handle it unless you or family are in harms way.

Live by these rules and always keep your head on a swivel.

    Profit.

Imagine you’re laying pipe to your hairy Iranian wife and this drops on the patio ….

Islam requires a pretty strict adherence to the removal of body hair…. Especially public hair.

In addition circumcision is also part of the religious practice / tradition.

Therefore, the women of Iran are likely not hairy…. And possibly completely bare down there in addition to the men being circumcised with manscaped pubes….. something actually akin to the US from the early 00’s to mid 2010’s.

Anecdotally, the Turkish girl I would hook up with was super big on showers before / after sex in addition to being completely shaved. If we showered together I couldn’t touch her / get down until she washed / ‘said a payer’ or did her little meditation. Even though she wasnt super religious and more of the secular Turkish tradition/ dated a fool like me / had sex before marriage the cleanliness aspect of Islam remained ingrained.

    That is all.

The more the Texas gop moves right, the sooner we go blue. Unfortunately they will employ cruelty to people and laughingly kick the vulnerable while we wait.

I thought this too….. but here I am seemingly 20 years later and it’s just keeps getting worse / crueler.

The above is a hint that those companies buying up homes need to donate more money to Texas Republicans.

    Tom Hardy Bait GIF

So they want to protect free speech, but want to crack down on people criticizing Israel.  How much are they paying Elon Musk for consulting on this?

I know plenty of Texas National Guard members and their families who are not thrilled with the border bullshit.  If they wanted to play border patrol, they would have joined the fucking Border Patrol.

I’d like to see an audit of all of the Republican-owned companies that got COVID relief.

The fucking Okies are making it easier to get marijuana so our dipshit leaders have to make it harder.

The Texas Republican Party has run out of ideas outside of the whims of the highest bidder, owning the libs, cruelty, and just plain dumb.
