  1. Fixed. But also, fuck NC State pickers.
  2. Had more of the Cattleack pastrami brisket and hatch cheese sausage as leftovers today and would increase my evaluation of both.
  3. Reese’s Oreo pie was solid, crack cake was phenomenal.
  4. I did not. The order I described plus two 20 Oz Coke Zero was $108. I know brisket is wagyu and was $36/lb and ribs/sausage were $24/lb. Single side $5, pint $9.
  5. Got a late start due to several factors and arrived at Cattleack about 1155. Line was about 20 people deep and took 15-20 minutes to clear so not bad at all. Got two trinity plates which are 1/3lb brisket, a pork rib, and a link for $23 each. Pretty solid deal in today terms. Three diff link options. We went with the Triple B (beef, bacon, beer) and hatch chile cheese. Sausage I would describe as good/fine. Pork ribs were large with a peppery crust with a hint of maybe cayenne. Very good. Brisket was pretty excellent, a step behind the very top places. Also added 1/4 lb of pastrami brisket. It was good and interesting. I wouldn’t replace a brisket order with it but could replace pastrami with it if that makes sense. Would like to try it as a sandwich like a Reuben. Also got the burnt ends beans which were great esp with the excellent cornbread. Got hatch mac n cheese which was solid/good but not life changing. Finally got the crack cake and Oreo Reese’s pie but those haven’t been eaten yet ha. Overall a strong entry in the 2nd tier of places in the state imo.
  6. I manually enter results on Sheet 3 (the team sheet) which then auto updates Sheet 2 which is everyone's picks, as well as Sheet 1 the leaderboard. You have to keep re-sorting Z to A if you want the leaderboard to stay in order.
  7. Seed Contest sheet is fully live. If you click on the Leaderboard sheet and click column B and sort Z to A it will make the leaderboard correct. Sheet 2 has all the picks. LGLG. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18-Fd5PDN1thHmDPWnRpbbNUH3iWxrJtzzw9x6VvZRNU/edit?usp=sharing
  8. jesus motherfuck eat a dick Nevada
  9. It was court clerks, not kids, and I gotta tell ya, a few of them I definitely would!
  10. All the picks for the contest are loaded in the sheet. Still need to do the backend work so the leaderboard etc works but you can see the rosters. Teaching a 2 hour class so will be a bit before it’s finished.
  11. 26 entries, generating a prize pool of $650, payouts 325-160-100-65. GL all!
  12. I mean, no team has ever in history lost to a 16 seed and then NOT won the title the next year.
  13. Pending final audit, have 25 entries paying 60-30-10%. If we end up 26+ will pay 50-25-15-10.
  14. my picks: Houston Tennessee Creighton Auburn St. Mary's BYU Florida Nebraska Sparty Nevada Oregon James Madison Charleston Morehead St South Dakota State Wagner Wild Card: New Mexico
  15. looking at going to Cattleack tomorrow. I see they open at 10. How early do I need to get there to be sure they have everything? If I arrive at 10, what's the wait? Arrive at 11, too late? Or if not, approx wait? Thanks!
  16. In. Also, I am running the "pick a team on each seed line" contest for the 3rd straight year, BigOrange if you wanna do this let me know, and I'll send you $5 for the net difference in entries.
  17. See, too bad you weren't at Love Field, could've had the best BBQ in the world.
  18. Hey, really the only way to make Dickey's better is to have that Dickey's be in an airport.
  19. Plus people are often blinded by their own preferences and those around them. Most of us here love the top end BBQ and debating the finer points, but there are SO MANY people who think of a chopped beef sammich when they think of BBQ and they aren't trying to dust off $45 for a BBQ lunch, and for them if Rudy's isn't near, maybe Pok-E-Jo's or Dickey's is. I walked behind a woman at Love Field one time who said the Love Field Dickey's was her favorite BBQ place IN THE WORLD. These people exist.
  20. OK, we are back in on this! You select one team on every seed line (so a 1 seed, a 2 seed, a 3 seed, etc etc). You also pick a wild card team who is NOT in your original selections. So you will select 17 teams. The scoring is 1 point for a win in the 1st round, 3 for a win in the 2nd, 5 for a win in the S16, 7 for a win in the E8, 9 for a win in the F4, and 11 for a natty win PLUS the team's seed is added to each win. So you get 2 points if your 1 seed wins in the first round, and 15 if your 14 seed does. The First Four play-in games don't count, so for example if Pitt vs New Mexico is a 12 seed play-in game, you could pick the winner of Pitt/UNM (either before or after they play, totally fine for one of your picks to be "Pitt/UNM", but can't pick one of those teams and earn points for the play-in win. $25/entry, must pay and make selections by tipoff Thursday. I will share the Google Sheet with everyone by end of day Thurs and will post my own picks in the thread before tipoff so everyone knows I didn't just wait for the best picks. We had 23 entries last year, hoping we can surpass that this year. PM me to make picks and get payment details. LFG!
  21. Played my first-ever individual stroke play tournament yesterday. Fun experience! Shot 92 that could have been a lot better, hit a lot of good shots, but misses all just happened to find OB/penalty area which really racked it up. Chipped and putted my ass off, left myself a ton of 2-3 footers and didn't miss any, which is a bit tougher when you're in a "no gimmes" environment ha (not that I'd ever take a 3 foot gimme unless it was for triple or something). Was definitely proud that every single provisional or shot after a drop was a very good shot, didn't let one bad shot beat me twice. Playing another next Sunday, definitely looking forward to it.
