  1. I watched his HUDL highlights. I was not overwhelmed. He looks good, but no better than many other RBs out there. I couldn't find a 100m time for him but his best 200m time is 24.20.
  2. If it forces the Republicans to spend more to secure Texas, thus leaving other parts of the country with less money, it do make a shit.
  3. Why? So far, Searles appears to be killing it on the recruiting front. Read Bobby Burton's very optimistic report from a couple of days ago.
  4. Is this that "enshittification" thing I keep reading about?
  5. According to various tweets, Trump fell asleep and was drooling during the trial this morning. According to others, he does not look good.
  6. The cost of the Israelis defending themselves from that one barrage is estimated at 550 million dollars. Are you willing to pay more in taxes or is this just more debt? https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/israel-iran-strikes-live-coverage/card/israel-s-cost-of-intercepting-iranian-barrage-is-put-at-over-550-million-uamrOjZkoRBNGRfjWbD6
  7. 2.99 at HEB and Trader Joes for Cage-Free large brown eggs.
  8. Stephopolus to Sununu: You said you think Trump is an insurrectionist. So your position is that you support an insurrectionist? Sununu: Yes, and so do 51% of Americans.
  9. This is true. Now as soon as he responds to somebody with some ridiculous take 3/4 of his followers, who are in on the joke, start making comments like "Kari Lake sounds like she paid too much interest on her waterbed, Coach .." thus cluing in the unsuspecting that it's a parody account. Still, there are some takers on nearly every one of his posts.
  10. On que, Kari Lake's Twitter account mistook 3 Year Letterman for a legit account and went after him. Ha ha ha.
  11. It's not three-year letterman who is funny, it's the people who don't realize that he's trolling and their responses. Like Candid Camera but on the internet. I have literally wept in laughter at some of those who don't realize he's putting them on. Also ... worst thing? Tell me you haven't been to the TexAgs politics board without telling me ...
  12. Saw a Waymo driving around in my neighborhood for the first time a few days ago. No driver. I thought that, other than the times I need to drive a very long distance, like on vacation or to go see a relative, how much more convenient/cheaper would it be to have those cars (electric of course) circulating throughout the city at all times, so that I could summon one and have it appear three minutes later? Like a Waymo subsription service i.e. Netflix but for cars. No insurance payments, no gas, no car payment. Best of all, it would eliminate the need for huge parking lots in congested areas.
  13. What is it with carpet-bagging Republicans living in Florida but claiming to live elsewhere when it comes to running for the Senate? First Tubberville, now this asshole.
  14. Kristi Noem is now banned from 10% of her home state. https://www.thedailybeast.com/south-dakota-gov-kristi-noem-is-now-banished-from-10-percent-of-her-own-state?ref=wrap
  15. Kevin McCarthy: I'm no longer speaker because Matt Gaetz screwed a 17-year-old.
  16. Seems like mandated, forced vasectomies would be the call. You can have it reversed when you decide you want kids.
  17. Smell the fear. "Hours after Arizona’s supreme court declared on Tuesday that a 160-year-old abortion ban is now enforceable, Republicans in the state took a surprising stance for a party that has historically championed abortion restrictions – they denounced the decision. “This decision cannot stand,” said Matt Gress, a Republican state representative. “I categorically reject rolling back the clock to a time when slavery was still legal and we could lock up women and doctors because of an abortion.” “Today’s Arizona supreme court decision reinstating an Arizona territorial-era ban on all abortions from more than 150 years ago is disappointing to say the least,” said TJ Shope, a Republican state senator. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/apr/10/arizona-republicans-against-state-abortion-ban
