2nd start in the books for @JustinVerlander
    4.1 Innings
    95 Pitches
    0 ER
    3 Hits
    7 Strikeouts
    4 Walks

Was there a reason captain numbnuts pulled him after 4.1?  I just now signed in and saw the stupidity.

  2. Man it's definitely bizarro land watching all the obedience worshipers run afoul of their Khazarian overlords.

Of course genocide is bad and everyone should stand up against it but the control structure who created the obedience worshiping cult are the purveyors of the genocide and they don't like dissent.

Hopefully this causes more people to join the resistance class but only time will tell.  I'm sure we will have some manufactured false flag event to scare everyone back into line.

We have had season tickets for 8 years or more I can’t remember as it’s a shared thing with the in law family. My wife’s mother is from AA and we spend quite a bit of time up there. Been to games at all the time slots and the night game was top 5 college football experiences of all time for me. (Monsoon game vs notre dame at night)

Did someone say monsoon night game vs Notre Dame in Michigan?  (Yes I realize Valenti is ranting about MSU not UM) I was actually in Ann Arbor watching this game because I had gone to the Wisconsin game earlier in the day which was my first ever game at the Big House.  Yeah it sucks it's not a night game because all September and October games should be night games there IMHO.

Follow on note I was also at the Michigan @ Ohio State game that same season and I got to see how much better coping with Buckeye fans the Wolverines were than Texas fans were the prior year.  Too bad that game sucked to lose even though the game itself was epic.  Went 0-2 against Ohio State that year :(

Anybody have advice on must do’s around Wrigley for the game tomorrow? I haven’t done any research and this just got sprung on me last week.

Postgame: Without a doubt Sluggers Piano Bar it's upstairs above the main Sluggers Bar next to the batting cages.  I have no idea if it's still $5 but that simple fee usually cuts out the douchy Cubs fan riffraff and also the caliber of the eye candy that makes their way into the bar is higher than you will find in the other Wrigleyville bars.

Some people like Pequods better than Lou Malnati I'm not one of those....   The LM butter crust puts it over the top IMHO but honestly you can't go wrong with either.

As far as burgers go my favorite is BiXiBeer but I also usually like that style of gourmet burger which some people don't like

  6. Reno is actually a great place and vastly underrated. Great punk rock scene, good art community and plenty of crazy shit to get into.

Mix in not paying California state taxes, proximity to Tahoe, ski resorts, 90 minutes to Sacramento for its vastly underrated food scene, and 3 hours from Yosemite, and 3 hours from Napa you really can pick a lot of worse places to live.

With that said I hope they tell this see you next tuesday to bugger off.

I was on record as not caring for the Joe Espada hire and thinking it was odd to turn over a WA team to a new guy, but I didn’t think he would be this over his head.
I’d fire him and bring in Joe Maddon- he can grate on players and wear out his welcome- but that’s a thought for a later day. Also- any idea what scrap iron is up to these days?  Is he dead?  Bobby Valentine- is he still kicking it? Can he coach every game in disguise?
this team probably doesn’t suck and the back end of the bullpen probably isn’t going to be hammered dogshit all year. The Abreu problem will resolve itself (if he wants Dubon in the lineup so badly why doesn’t he just go with him at first- or Diaz at first Dubon at 2B and Altuve DH some. It’s not like the Astros have any unmanageable or unfixable problems/ they just have to- you know- manage them and fix them. And hope the back of the bullpen becomes the strength that everyone thought it would be instead of horrific.
we are 7/16. We are 2 for 8 in save opportunities.
a more realistic 7 for 8 would have us at 12-11 even with all the starters being hurt and Abreu and the other mess, against probably the toughest opening schedule in baseball.
I guess I just can’t believe those guys are going to continue to be so bad. I won’t believe it until Memorial Day- too much positive track record to throw that away after 4 weeks.

Scrap Iron is still alive and he is my favorite Astros manager but he's 2 months older than Dusty even.  We saw how well the Tony LaRussa fiasco went in Chicago.

  8. And if anyone worries about the authenticity of the Vette it's a 1967 427 tri-power L71 which ~4,000 were made in total.

It is a true survivor not a restoration

Back in the 90s my girlfriend inherited what must have been a 100oz brick of silver. At the time I thought silver was the dumbest thing you could buy, and I am sure I said so. (Meanwhile, I used my $ to drink the Crown and Anchor dry.)

She was nervous about how to store it. I convinced her to wrap it in fabric and use it as a doorstop.

I hope she still had it when silver hit 45/oz.

I hope she still has it!  We're going to look back and laugh at $45/oz once the world realizes the simple facts....

Silver is produced at a 7:1 ratio to gold.

Pretty close to 100% of the gold that is mined/found goes into vaults or jewelry where a huge chunk of silver is used in modern day electronics and photovoltaics because of it's hyper conductive nature and yet none of it is recycled because of the historically low price.

The part of the story that hasn't unfolded yet is there are two stable silver isotopes that occur at almost a 50/50 split in nature (107 & 109).  Humanity will soon figure out which one of the two is the hyper conductor and that will be exclusively used in industrial cases where the less conductive will be used in investment scenarios.

At the end of the day silver is the most important element in the periodic table no hyperbole and yet despite this you can buy 84oz of silver to 1oz gold as of the writing of this post

    Facts:
Roman Empire would let you trade 12oz of silver for 1oz gold
USA would let you trade 15oz of silver for 1oz gold back when we were on the bimetallic standard
In 1964 the median income in the USA was $6,600 when our coinage (dimes and above) was 90% silver
Today if you had $6,600 in 90% coins you could go to your local coin shop and sell it for $138,600
Today the median income in the USA is $37,585 if you don't think inflation is silent theft you are an absolute fucking moron
In 1933 the when FDR illegally stole our gold the median salary was $1,125 which in 90% coinage would get you 804.375oz silver a year
Today you can buy 804.375oz silver for $22,860.34 + premiums which is distinctly less than today's median income

I hope this helps clarify the bullish reasons to buy the lunar metal....

I'm getting my 6th shipment of silver bouillon this week from a $100/mo plan. They ship when it hits 10 coins, a half tube. So thats 3 tubes (I think 62 buffalos since sometimes the math adds up to 11 in a shipment). Don't really notice the money, but building the stack deeper bit by bit.

We in the game like to call this dollar cost averaging!
