  1. Seriously ... speaking of solutions looking for problems ... can you share the name of a trans person denied the ability to participate in sports? (maybe there are millions, I honestly have no idea ... much like the fake bathroom attacks from years ago feels like this had never really been a problem, but I may 100% be wrong).
  2. A big problem at least in my area is that one has to have an ID, sign-up online, and go to the vaccine site ... you know what huge barriers those present to some segments of the population (apparently).
  3. There's a few billion rona dollars lying around. We need to help the vulnerable.
  4. I thought he was pulling my leg. Now I guess there is the Appeal to Clownfish Fallacy. #usernamechecksout
  5. The next logical step is age. If sex is just a construct that can be defined to infinity, why not let people identify at whatever age they feel like. No reason sexual biology should be limited to you know, sexual biology. Have Sark start recruiting a bunch of practice squad NFL guys and have them identify as 18-year-olds. I'm sure the lax league will not be impacted by 21-year-old guys competing against 15-year-old girls, cause you know, good players.
  6. No it couldn't. We have that ... it's called the developmental league ... or at least we used to have it, who knows.
  7. The good news to come out of this is we can replace the women's national soccer team with any 16-year-old boys club team and never have to hear from that insufferable Megan Rapinoe again.
  8. I heard someone today make the comment today that if you go back to Fauci's comments and publications early in 2020 he was pretty spot on based on how the data ultimately has shaken out. At some point he did a pretty big 180 on some of his comments and assertions.
  9. I agree. This was one of Biden's more idiotic executive orders. Did not feel like there was a cry for federal intervention. Women take it in the shorts again (no pun intended).
  10. I think he's gotten addicted to the attention. He's got to say stupid shit or CNN won't put him on the air.
  11. I have been scratching my head trying to figure out what this is an issue. I think you're 100% correct that this merely is solution looking for a problem or maybe more accurately another extreme goalpost move used as a idealogical litmus test with which to then bash anyone that does not conform. This one of those symbolic issues that I just do not think would pass the consistency smell test. Fuck off with the disingenuous "discrimination" bullshit. Fuck the NCAA and let's start over.
  12. I hate four-way stops. Completely pointless ... I am a big fan of traffic circles ... they've started putting some in my town, and usually it works out swimmingly. I did have my first experience with the person in front of me stopping for no reason over the weekend, but I'll take a traffic circle 100 times out of 100 vs. a four-way stop. My biggest pet peeve in my town is the complete inability of the city to have traffic signals react to traffic patterns. Sitting for one minute at a red light on a Sunday evening without a car in sight feels like nothing more than a Roscoe P. Coltrane trick to right tickets. Not of these traffic engineers seem to realize that traffic patterns fluctuate between rush hour and late evenings.
  13. Who is exhausted of managing myriad streaming services and longing for a single place to access everything on TV?
  14. He's become addicted to the celebrity. I think he just says stupid shit to get on TV ... he knows his 15' is about up ... any time the guy talks they should just play the original 60 Minutes video where he tells everyone to not wear a mask and that cloth masks exacerbate the spread.
  15. Anyone who has seen the Arizona video would be scared shitless to do what the cops tell them to do. Cops really need to holster their damn weapons. I don't think anyone really wants to shoot a cop. Yes, it happens, but for crying out loud keep it in your damn pants until absolutely necessary. It works both ways - a cop approaching even a suspicious vehicle both with caution but a presumption of innocence and de-escalation seems too obvious.
  16. I'm in no way saying it does not exist, but I too have not seen anything about hoax / "it's just the flu" in a long, long time. I'd be pretty surprised if one could find those positions promulgated today, but I have been surprised before. I have had people note that the influenza death rate is higher than covid for people under 21, but that is a data-driven reality not "it's a hoax."
  17. The consistent pattern we've seen for the past year is a significant gap between data and "experts." Our corporate media continually overplays "experts" at the expense of data. I think this is deeply rooted in the progressive idea of tyranny by bureaucracy and "expertise."
  18. We now put primacy on Identity Politics not competency-meritocracy. I would argue she's the stupidest bitch on TV but #donlemon
  19. I am not sure it's good or bad this is fake. But I'm not surprised. Have any of these actually been real?
