  1. Deboer must have had a Herman-esques initial team meeting. Deboer at first Alabama team meeting, probably:
  2. As much as I'd like to pile on, give credit where credit is due. Eyeball test puts this at around 60 degrees.
  3. You watched that giant goober flounder around in the booth for several minutes like an upright beached whale and that was your takeaway? Did he even answer a single question without leading with, "Yeah . . .," followed by boilerplate clichés? His profound recruiting insight, delivered in monotone: "We will recruit players in Texas; we will recruit players outside of Texas." He then capped off that painfully colorless commentary with kudos to Elijah Robinson for "holding it together during some very difficult times" and a recap of his inspirational introductory message to the team which basically consisted of, "Let's go be what we should be that we haven't been"? That's the guy you thought did well in the booth and didn't sound like an Ag?
  4. Little did we know, this poll needed an option for "12+ wins (Texas misses the CFP)."
  5. 15% of the run time was pregame or it would have been just over a minute and a half.
  6. More egregious than the lack of holding calls on OU in this game were the no-calls when Worthy was face tackled in the air before the ball arrived and tackled by the facemask at the goal line preventing a TD (among other blatant facemask infractions on OU that went uncalled throughout the game). There were other missed calls, but those are game-changers, especially when they are only being called one way.
  7. You missed the news. This would be a death sentence for Texas football.
  8. Who says Texas doesn't prepare players for the league?
  9. Amen. This post is an inspiring breath of fresh air in a sea of banality.
  10. Jabari Rice and Greg Brown are 1a and 1b for me. KD might crack the next tier. [/CTC2]
  11. Ya think? A handful of posters a few pages back were chalking it up to maturity issues and had Campbell penciled in the portal already. The well-known ability of this board to create a narrative out of absolutely nothing remains breathtaking, but not more so than the proclivity of certain troglodytes infesting these parts for responding to posts while missing the point entirely.
  12. The last ~40 pages have largely consisted of people posting some variation of exactly what you just posted. You haven't added a single new insight or any new information, just one more post in this thread, which is...the very thing you are complaining about. Well done.
  13. I showed up to that Rose Bowl early in the morning with $1,000 in my pocket for one ticket, walked around the grounds for hours, asked every bus load of passengers that disembarked, and found not one ticket for sale at any price the entire day. Still have great memories of watching that game on your big TV. We might not have been inside the stadium, but we could hear and feel the roar of the crowd with every play. On 4th and 5, it felt like we had seats on the goal line and when VY scored, everyone was hugging each other in jubilation. Truly an unforgettable experience. Cheers.
  14. That gig didn't work out. He kept dropping clients' coverage.
  15. That was the peak of Malcolm Epps' Texas career on the onside kick. "And what might've been turns into 'What?' here in Lubbock."
