  1. Bari Weiss sums it up: "To acknowledge the facts of what happened that night is not political. It is simply to acknowledge reality. It is to say that facts are still facts and that lies are lies. It is to insist that mob justice is not justice. It is to say that media consensus is not the equivalent of due process. And that pretending otherwise for the sake of political expediency is why the National Guard is now standing watch in Kenosha, bracing for violence once again in the anticipation of a verdict that for many, has already been decided."
  2. I couldn't care less what happens to the defendant, so long as the judge and jury act in accordance with the law. Unfortunately, the law is of little consequence to most Americans these days, as we begin to succumb to mob rule and what we "believe" to be right based on the pronouncements of a very unreliable media and those voices that effectively "seize the narrative."
  3. But what does the law say? Is the trial taking place in a court of law or in a court of what the people want regardless of what the law says? (n.b. Someone here previously noted that Georgia has changed the law that was on the books at the time regarding citizen's arrest and confronting individuals suspected of violating the law.) Because it's a slippery slope back to a world we don't want to live in if we're going to ignore the law and just go with feelings.
  4. Based on the 80-something movies in their extensive library, here's a surefire method for success that will take you from "Lonely Guy On The Couch" to doing the hibbidy dibbidy in just six short weeks: 1. Quit your job in the big city and return home between Halloween and Thanksgiving to some rustic setting with an idyllic name like “Angel Falls” or “Piney Acres.” 2. Find a former high school girlfriend who has just been widowed. Expect her to have two children between the ages of 5 and 8. 3. Bump into her at the small town’s outdoor farmers' market. Expect her to be firmly in the camp of “never going to fall in love again” when you first reconnect. Plan the platonic catch-up for coffee. 4. Accept the platonic catch-up for coffee. Get a phone call five minutes into. Apologize that you have to leave immediately on a family emergency but ask if you can reschedule for a dinner. 5. Meet for dinner at her house. Help male child with homework in subject he is having trouble with or female child with sports skill. Enjoy salad and pasta. Don’t ask why kids inexplicably go to bed at 7 p.m. Look at old high school yearbook after dinner, then excuse yourself before things heat up. 6. Ghost her for a week or two. Bump into her again at the grocery store as you’re struggling to make Thanksgiving dinner. 7. Reluctantly accept invitation to her house for Thanksgiving since it will be her family’s first since her spouse passed. 8. Continue to express interest in male child’s academic struggles and/or female child’s athletic activity. Offer to attend school performance/game on Friday night. 9. Finally – The Big Day…. Be available to hang Christmas lights on the roof (he always did that) on Saturday afternoon. As the sun sinks in the West and the snow begins to fall, go Christmas Tree shopping. 10. Welcome to Bone Town, population You.
  5. The courtroom testimony of the man who said Ahmad Arberry was pointing a gun at him. "He had my gun."
  6. You say "pointing a gun at him for no reason." But Arbery is on video as having just committed a crime. You say he has the right to fight for the gun. That would be self-defense. Why doesn't the fellow at whom he's pointing the gun then have the same right to self-defense? The whole thing's a cluster... I'm mainly just making the point that the media has done a very poor job of explaining that Arbery had a gun when he was shot. I would venture to say 98% of the American public is unaware of that not so minor detail.
  7. Dude on the stand was asked why he shot him. He said because he had my gun pointed at me.
  8. Ahhh.... that's cute. Someone who thinks Magic Johnson got AIDS through heterosexual contact.
  9. Q: What do you call someone who drops out of med school? A: Counselor. Nah... doesn't have the same ring to it.
  10. Why am I just learning that Ahmaud Arbery had taken a gun from one of the men and -- by the definition of the word -- was no longer "unarmed" when he was shot?
  11. Oh, and the key question. Did you even know the three people Rittenhouse shot were white? Also, let me note, the violence that occurs after the verdict is announced is going to be a direct result of the media perpetuating these lies. With accurate reporting of what had taken place for the past year, there would be nothing to protest. Instead, the sheeple will pour into the streets to again protest their perceived slight when a jury acquits a white supremacist who sought to kill "peaceful black protesters."
  12. And most people believing Kyle Rittenhouse deserves the death penalty probably relied on a lot of narratives that the media repeated yet were never true. Did you know his father lived in Kenosha before the trial? Did you know he had been asked to defend the car lot? Did you know he was legally in possession of the rifle? Did you know he was attacked first, at the car lot, before firing his weapon? The list goes on and on. Naive kid? Yes. Not so bright? Absolutely. Lucky to be where he is in life given his meth head mom? For sure. But he wasn't a white supremacist who went hunting black protesters, yet that's exactly what media pundits CONTINUE to say.
  13. Well, except for the guy who was pointing a handgun at him. And the guy who was pummeling him with a skateboard. But yeah, the first guy tried to take his weapon away from him, so they weren't all armed.
