  1. When comparing 1 loss teams, I believe that the committee would give priority to those who have won their conference championship game. Only exception to this would be Georgia, as I fear that they'd try to sneak in both Bama and and the 2-time defending national champions (it's not fair, but I could see them doing it). SEC, B10, and PAC are all probably getting at least 1 team in no matter what at this point. We need Georgia to win and FSU to lose to make it in. There's also a chance we could jump another 1 lose conference champion if we obliterate okie lite like 45-0 (see tOSU in 2014), but it's unlikely. It's unfortunate, but in terms of playoff contention we probably picked the worst year in the last 10 to be a 1 loss team.
  2. lil ahh defense fuck you florida
  3. congratulations to iowa steak for eclipsing last week's rushing yard total on the first play of the game
  4. best part about this this outcome is all the extra energy OSU had to expend for this win. While we got to rest starters for a whole quarter (not to mention an extra day of rest), they had to play OT
  5. message board geniuses is about to be LIT
  6. fuck you matt the rat hope that loser cheese tastes good tonight
  7. 5th year senior making a mistake that a freaking 5th grader would make 😂
  8. Volume was definitely quieter than the first 3 games, which was awesome. There was a point at the beginning of the second half when it got loud for like a minute, and then immediately went back to the quieter levels. On-field MC guy and the 4th quarter smoke show are still super annoying, but I'll tolerate them if the music stays at the volume that it was at on Saturday.
  9. all part of jimbo's secret strategy no reason to worry ags
  10. Music volume was great in the first half. It was still loud, but not as skull-splitting as it was in the first 2 games. However, it's almost like CDC noticed this and told the DJ to crank that shit back up, because the second half was definitely closer to the level it had been at previously. I will say that the crowd seemed more active in the second half than the first. Not sure if there's a correlation there, but it was something I observed. The on-field mic guy is significantly more annoying than Bob Cole IMO. He's been around for a few years, but it's almost like this season the gameday staff decided to make him the star of the show. PA volume (both him and BC) is still too loud. First down chant is annoying, but I do think that it helped keep the crowd engaged. Seemed like the student section especially would do it every time, and it got louder as the game went on. I know Baylor does this at their games to, so maybe that's where we stole it from? I'm not a fan of it, but it's something I'm willing to go to war over like the volume.
  11. Agree that the sounds from the jumbotron is still too loud. It was so obnoxious that it made 100,000 people cheering for Bevo and the flight of jets that passed over the stadium during the pre-game sound quiet by comparison. Maybe if they keep this up they'll blow out the speakers by the end of the Kansas game, and they'll be forced to turn it down.
  12. I honestly think all the sensory overload from these gameday enhancements finally got to Wyoming. Between the light show, loud music, and the smell from the smoke they set off before the 4th quarter the Cowboys just can’t take it anymore and are collapsing.
  13. man oh man do i love being a Texas Longhorn
  14. Yeah I knew it wasn’t a new logo, but this is the first time I've seen it used on a Yeti. Angry Bevo is definitely the superior logo, but I like that they’ve started to use this one as well to mix things up. It’s started showing up more on gear and apparel, so I guess it shouldn’t really be a surprise they decided to also put it on a cup.
  15. Grabbed a new UT Yeti at the game last weekend. Hadn't seen this design with the Grumpy Bevo before, but after some research on the Twitter it sounds like this is this season's "limited edition". Weird because they usually announce it, but I guess they've made so many of these at this point that the whole concept has kind of lost it's luster. Still a big fan, and I definitely like it more than most of the limited designs they've done the last few years for football.
  16. I was in section 116 and have been sitting there for years, and I agree that it was significantly louder than usual. Band and crowd sounded great, but any noise that came out of the speakers was unbearable. It got to the point where my group would cover their ears anytime music was played because it was so damn annoying. Really hurt the game-day experience. No idea what it sounds like in the bowl, but music blasting to the point where it strains the speakers and makes the actual song only like half discernable ain't the move. I get wanting to create a party atmosphere, but even the clubs downtown aren't this bad. I am also younger than 30 years old, so definitely not an old.
  17. These still haven't officially released yet. The Oregon Ducks Twitter account said that their pair will be coming out early next month, so I bet that's when we'll see the UT colorway drop as well.
  18. IMO Ohio State handles the whole alternate uniform thing the best out of all the blue blood or pseudo-blue blood programs that wear alternates. The usually only wear a true alternate once a year, and then save the throwbacks for the playoffs or bowl game. While they've varied in quality, this all grey is probably one of their better ones. It's basically their usual helmet and pants paired with a grey jersey, which is a school color. It's not better than their usual uniforms but it's still solid. BlowU is easily the worst of the group with the Rough Riders. Ugly as hell and I feel like they would wear them for like 1/3rd of the games each year, sometimes in big games like the conference championship. Glad they finally got rid of them last season, but the all-blacks they replaced them with aren't much better. While I agree that any program with tradition should stay away from alternates as much as possible, Ohio State probably has the best blueprint for how to execute them successfully, while OU has one of the worst.
  19. This might be the hoodie. The color looks a little different, but it could just be the stock image: https://shop.texassports.com/mens-nike-heathered-gray-texas-longhorns-football-club-pullover-hoodie/p-14522717040323+z-9655-2039979489?_ref=p-SRP:m-GRID:i-r16c2:po-50
  20. New Homefield collection is pretty underwhelming, just like the last one. I imagine this is mainly due to UT being overly protective of their marks and not giving HF a lot to work with, given how great the offerings for other schools have been.
  21. New OSU unis look really great. The only issue to me is that the front wordmark and numbers look like they’re too low, and should be moved up like an inch or so. This was also a problem on the new Arizona uniforms, so it seems like it’s due to Nike’s new FUSE template rather than an actual aesthetic choice.
