Wouldn't surprise me at all if schools quietly asked the NCAA to reign in the photo shoots. Schools fucking hate them. Takes forever and all that time would be better spent getting to know the recruit and showing him around.

I'm with you on the cookie cakes, though. Don't see why anyone would give a fuck. Maybe some schools were decorating hotel rooms with hookers and blow.

All these rules come from the schools. They hate the tedium of shit like photo shoots and decorating hotel rooms and shit

Was coming to post about this.
    https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ea-will-offer-11-000-college-football-players-600-each-for-video-game-nil-rights

shit is insane. People are telling them to reject the offer lmao this is stupid as fuck. $600 is more than basically all athletes get it’s a huge deal and it’s a lot of money. Everyone comparing it to NFL players cuts is insane there are way fewer pro players and they are actually professional.

It’s enough to buy a new console plus get the game to play. If anyone ops out they are either a diva or dumb

    Correct!

But I was already SAG after getting SAG Vouchers 2 out of the 4 days I was “Blue Collar Guy with Blue Collar Car” in the big Nicolas Cage jumping a flatbed tow truck by using its ramp up on the bridge over the Port of LA to get away from the cops as he was stealing his last car in “Gone In 60 Seconds” because I offered to keep the cooler of drinks for the extras up on the bridge in the back seat of my car.

Then I got my 3rd voucher by hitting up my high school buddy’s suite mate from sophomore year at Princeton who cast me as an extra in an mental hospital in a scene from the cable show that he and his brother wrote & directed.

    Ahhhh… the glamour of Hollywood!

Where does one even find banana pudding these days outside of children's elementary school lunches and retirement communities? I know Pappadeaux used to have one that people liked. Outside of that, are you people running around at Cracker Barrel or Golden Corral scooping that stuff up in batches?

I had bananas foster buttercake at Eddie V's and bananas foster at Brennan's recently and those things were outstanding. A good banana cream pie is awesome. Banana Pudding? Dost thou thinketh me a hobo, sirs?

But there are often incentives for players to raise their NIL payments based on how they play. Conversely, a few players mentioned their NIL payments could go down if they don’t perform well. Beyond cash, players often also receive additional incentives like a leased vehicle.

“The way I have it, the first two years are 400 guaranteed, and after my sophomore year I can ask to renegotiate based on how I play,” Recruit 2 said.

“If you produce, you get bonuses,” Recruit 12 said. “Some schools do it differently, but that’s how ours does it.”

As for what players must do to earn the money, responses varied from appearing at charity events and social media posts to just being on the team.

“It’s a collective thing,” Recruit 6 said. “Just be part of the team, everybody gets it.”

Recruit 2 said that there were no off-field requirements tied to his pay.

“I think it’s just from the collective,” he said.

BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA IF A SINGLE WORD OF THIS IS TRUE I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE FELT BETTER ABOUT TOF STANDING WITH THE NCAA AND NIL RULES. LITERALLY THE SOLE DEFINITION OF WHAT YOU CANT DO....L O L

Sorry for being a pedant, but I can't let this pass. The space shuttle never left low-Earth orbit, so if you created one, you aren't going to the Moon either.

Plonsky thinking about join the NCAA Investigative group, just to investigate Tenn, and get in on that action.

For  the record Plonsky has not even been the slight bit of hindrance since the initial rules came out. Once she adjusted, she got it. Compliance is not an issue in the slightest and if anything, they save us from ourselves

Looks like we will be seeing a lot more of these.  Itkin and Arnold just won $2.5 Billion in a Round-Up lawsuit (link below).  Even if I disagree with the litigation, hopefully they put a little into the TOF.

Dude, you're thinking of Chris Ash. I don't remember much about Flood's time at Rutgers. Ash's first staff in 2016 is one of the all-time worst P5 staffs, ever. Go look it up. You have Drew Mehringer as the OC, for starters. I think some of the position coaches are and have been out of football. Most lack wikipedia pages and are not guys that any of us can credibly claim to know well. Just complete trash.

The fact that Mehringer is celebrated in Oregon is proof that a properly weaponized NIL machine can make anyone look really good, for awhile at least. Worth nothing for future thought.

    1. You are correct, definitely was thinking of Chris Ash

    2. Demean 2019 Recruiter of the Year, Drew Mehringer, at your own peril sir
