  1. The Warning are coming back to town. Headlining at the Scoot Inn in Austin on May 12. Opening for them will be Holy Wars and Plush. I'll see them again on May 14 in Dallas opening for Godsmack and a couple other bands. They'll also be headlining in San Antonio on May 11 at Aztec Theater and opening at a concert in The Woodlands on May 13. Not going to those.
  2. haha I guess so. I'm going for The Warning. I don't know any music from the other 2 bands. I'll be learning.
  3. I'm seeing The Warning open for Halestorm & The Pretty Reckless in Irving, August 2. Then I'm seeing The Warning and Halestorm in San Antonio (Sept 29) & Corpus Christi (Oct 1). Also Seeing Band-Maid in Houston (Oct 22).
  4. My house in Kyle went up 57%. My parents plot of land on South Congress has stayed the same for 5 years. Actually, it went down $4,000 this year because they finally noticed there's no longer any improvements on the property (it's now at 0).
  5. Older news from early March, but I didn't see it posted. 4th & Brazos: A Perennial Tower Sprouts Downtown at Fourth and Brazos This Summer – TOWERS This will be cool just about 2 blocks north of Block 16. Two cool designs next to each other. Both between 600-700 feet.
  6. Let's just take East Ave across the lake via a new bridge. Connect it to Riverside.
  7. Block 16 redesign. Block 16 Office Tower Moves Forward With a New Look in Downtown Austin – TOWERS
  8. Downtown Austin’s Record-Breaking ‘Supertall’ Tower Gets the Green Light – TOWERS
  9. I love when the Brit and the other guy fight and they punch each other's fist.
  10. August 2 - Irving Halestorm The Pretty Reckless The Warning Lilith Czar I'm going for The Warning. Never listened to the others, but I'll check them out beforehand.
  11. Started out with Oldies & Classic Rock. Loved Zeppelin, ZZ Top, etc. Really like Blues Rock. Then go into a mix of stuff in HS: Grunge, Metal, Nu-Metal, Techno. In the last 10 years, I've gone all-in on 3 bands. Ghost, Babymetal and The Warning.
  12. Just released 6 minutes ago.

Footage of The Warning's set (minus their unreleased song which got muted by YT):

The Warning killed it despite some technical issues that plagued their entire set. They got cut short by 5 minutes, so I missed out on my favorite song they would have closed with. They gained some fans yesterday. Could tell from the crowd's growing applause after each song.
  15. From last night in Mexico City opening for Foo Fighters.
  16. 11th: Bite of Passage - 31 seconds of an eerie lead into the last track. 12th: Respite on the Spitalfields - Another ballad to end the album. On the face, this one seems to be the most anti-Christian. But who knows with Tobias? As a whole, this album has great sound. It's definitely interesting. I think it'll take me a few listens to notice some things. I'll be listening on the way home later in my truck to really hear it. I know there are some Ghost fans here. Thoughts? Favorite tracks?
  17. 9th: Darkness at the Heart of My Love - A Tobias ballad. I'm never much of a ballad fan, so this is just ok. 10th: Griftwood - Not sure what to think of this. Another guy who listened to this before me said this was his favorite song. I'm just not feeling it.
  18. 7th: Dominion - Symphony interlude?...pretty neat. 8th: Twenties - Continuance of the symphony to start...then heavy AF. This one is fun. I'm going to need to read the lyrics. It feels a little angrier than normal.
  19. 5th: Hunter's Moon - This one I've heard once before. Don't remember it... This one is much more in the vein of the previous track. I'd guess the first couple of songs were written closer to the time of Prequelle. These are heavier. 6th: Watcher In The Sky - Oh I like how this started. This is dirty. Love it.
  20. 3rd: Spillways - This sounds a lot like one of the songs off Prequelle. I don't want to stop and go figure out which one. 4th: Call Me Little Sunshine - They previously released this one, but I didn't listen to it till now. Good bass. I don't know if someone is harmonizing with Tobias, or if he's layered himself singing a little deeper. I like it either way. It's much slower than how the album started, but it's my favorite so far.
  21. I'm listening right now. 1st: Imperium - A typical Ghost instrumental intro. 2nd: Kaisarion - This is sounding very 80s hair metal to me. It's fast-paced. I'm digging it.

I'll be at the outdoor stage March 18 for The Warning at 7pm. I'll probably get there when gates open at 4pm and watch the opening acts. I'm going to try to live stream The Warning's show on youtube.
  23. Picked up tickets to BAND-MAID in Houston in October.
