  1. That’s very interesting. I think RFK’s “support” will drop off considerably by November. It’s easy to say you’ll vote for him now, as everyone does with third parties. Then it will slowly decrease as people pay more attention
  2. a 34.5% 3 point shooter and a 75% FT shooter?
  3. I like Topo. I don't care for selzer though, like La Croix. Which is irritating, because my office has about 14 diff La Croix flavors you have to sift through to find a god damn unflavored, noncarbonated water bottle.
  4. https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/39818577/womens-ncaa-basketball-transfer-rankings-2024-25-season Kaitlyn Chen is really intriguing - one year rental, can run point and put Booker back into her natural position while Rori gets back to game shape. She's not as proficient of a 3 point shooter (33%) but she's a high assist player with a lot of steals. We already mentioned Taliah Scott Poffenbarger already committed to LSU, so I'm thinking the SEC intra-conference transfer rule is for football only.
  5. https://www.kbtx.com/2024/03/27/3-texas-am-womens-basketball-players-arrested-minor-drug-charges/ Kyndall Hunter is one
  6. She was annoying. Really didn't enjoy her character or acting.
  7. A Democrat should have won in a seat that was R+1 and R+7 the last 2 elections? By 25 points? And overperformed R internal polling by 35 and D internal polling by 23? Maybe, just maybe, there's something missing from the media "conventional wisdom" about Trump up high single digits in every single swing state. Unless you believe that women will vote for Republicans, youth voters are 50/50 and Trump is going to capture 25% of black voters. Because the results don't agree with that. Roe still matters. A lot.
  8. Yeah, you have to instill early on that voting isn't a meme. It has real world consequences. "well I live in X, so my vote doesn't matter" is why Texas will probably never flip.
  9. They should not change anything. NCAA MBB is the only team bracket sport that you don't get a home field/court advantage. (And football, but that's changing with the addition of first round byes and home field for the beginning rounds of the CFP) Future regional sites for WBB: 2025 - Birmingham and Spokane 2026 - Fort Worth and Sacramento Honestly, I think I'd get rid of the 2 sites and go back to 4 sites - Northeast (Albany/Bridgeport/NYC), Southeast (Nashville/Birmingham/Orlando/Atlanta/Greensboro), Central (Dallas/Houston/San Antonio/Kansas City/Detroit/Chicago/Indianapolis) and West (Portland/Seattle/Spokane/Phoenix/Las Vegas/California) If you did something similar this year - SCe would get the Southeast or Northeast, Iowa would get the Northeast or Central, Texas would get the Central or Southeast and USC would get the West
  10. It was an open seat - David Cole beat Lands 52-45 in 2022, but he resigned due to voter fraud (https://www.wlbt.com/2023/10/11/former-alabama-representative-sentenced-after-pleading-guilty-voter-fraud/) Lands beat Republican Teddy owell this time around
  11. ESPN Re-Seeds the Sweet 16: https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/39803158/womens-march-madness-2024-reseeding-ncaa-tournament-sweet-16 Texas would hypothetically be re-seeded to the #2 overall seed
  12. Man some of the TV numbers were insane for the Round of 32 6 matchups had over 1 million viewers, with two of them above 2 million (MTSU-LSU and Syracuse-UConn) and WV-Iowa was 4.9 million Alabama-Texas almost hit a million (950k), just behind Duke-Ohio State (965k) but well ahead of Nebraska-Oregon State (730k) and Colorado-KSU (760k). And it was still 6th in viewership for Sunday.
  13. That’s the problem. It’s not fixable but until the media has a come to Jesus moment about polling vs results (who knows, maybe 2024 will be the moment), they’ll continue to hold onto it to keep them relevant. Unfixable doesn’t just mean methodology. It also is unfixable when the media uses it to prop up a horse race / story line and completely tell you to ignore actual election results. It’s unfixable because they’re not longer believable
  14. Baseball board - let’s give the other opponent credit so we don’t just blame our program Football / basketball - fuck the coach, it’s all their fault, they are garbage Theres always been a lot to grace handed to the baseball team/coach when we suck/lose games we should win. That doesn’t extend to other sports
  15. I don’t think it’s fixable. You have way too many bad actors messing with them (the online surveys) and you have distinct demographics that do not answer the phone
  16. And the actual internal polling - the R had himself winning by 10 and the Dem by 2. So both were really fucking off
  17. Dems flipped an AL state house seat. Trump +1 to Dem +26 currently. but no, tell me more about how the GOP is going to romp in 2024 when they’re getting blown out in marginally GOP districts in the Deep South
  18. Correct. It’s only been 5 times though - 03, 13, 16, 18, 2023. Every year but 2023 was against a 1 or 2 seed. 2023 was 4 seeded Tennessee
  19. I read she paid for the Super Bowl commercial. She bought herself that vp nod
  20. It was just poor planning by the NCAA and Gonzaga (as the host institution) not to have enough hotel rooms booked for 8 total teams over one weekend.
  21. So Gonzaga is trying to host, in Spokane, the same weekend it’s a site for NCAA men’s tournament. No hotels for Utah, so they had to stay in Coeur d’Alene, which is fucking white supremacist haven, and 40 min from Spokane. Plus traffic from the men’s games, which were less than 2 miles away from campus. Gonzaga knew it was likely to host, so the NCAA should have set aside enough rooms for 4 women’s teams + the men’s teams coming to town.
  22. Speaking of TK, she was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week
  23. 2024 WBB coaches in the SEC: Kristy Curry Johnnie Harris Katie Abrahamson-Henderson Kenny Brooks Kim Mulkey Dawn Staley Vic Schaefer Jennie Baranczyk Sam Purcell Yo McPhee-McCuin Shae Ralph SEC WBB is stacked with Brooks moving from VT to Kentucky
  24. That is where Gaston probably plays a bit more than Jones because Jones has issues guarding out to the three point line.
