  1. I'm going to wild ass guess Alfred Collins because he doesn't like all DT portals we are looking to bring in.
  2. She seems "too incompetent to stand trial" crazy. Maybe she's pissed Garza and the city of Austin hasn't given her a house and a box full of Get out of Jail cards.
  3. This dude had himself a night. https://sentinelcolorado.com/metro/aurora-man-guilty-of-pulling-gun-on-burger-king-worker-who-refused-drugs-as-payment/ An Aurora man faces more than 400 years in prison after embarking on a late-night crime spree that began when he pulled a gun in a Burger King drive-thru after an employee refused payment in the form of drugs — possibly methamphetamine. Eugene Robertson, 40, would go on to fire multiple shots and narrowly avoid being shot himself during the series of bizarre confrontations that he instigated on the night of Oct. 17, 2022, according to an arrest affidavit prepared by Aurora police. Robertson was found guilty April 12 of eight counts of attempted first-degree murder with extreme indifference, four counts of menacing using a firearm and two counts of reckless endangerment as well as single counts of illegally discharging a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and harassment. The employee of the Burger King near Alameda Avenue and Buckley Road told police he believed he was going to be shot and killed after turning down Robertson’s offer of a baggie of drugs. Instead, Robertson drove away and pulled up to the 7-Eleven at the northwest corner of the intersection. DA’s office spokesman Eric Ross wrote in an email that a baggie dropped by Robertson at the 7-Eleven and recovered by police, which contained about 5 grams of methamphetamine, resembled the baggie described by the drive-thru worker. A witness later told police that, when Robertson entered the 7-Eleven, there seemed to be “something off” about him, and that Robertson was “talking about God” and carrying a Bible with a purple cover. Robertson and the witness got into an argument, and Robertson again drew his handgun and pointed it at the head of a store employee. Robertson then shot a television screen that was displaying surveillance camera footage of the inside of the store. The witness ran out through a side door and retrieved his own handgun from his car. When Robertson walked outside, he started shooting at the witness, who returned fire. Following the brief gun battle, during which neither man was hit, Robertson fled the scene. About 15 minutes after responding to the 7-Eleven shooting and less than an hour after they were called out to the Burger King, Aurora police officers were dispatched to yet another 911 call involving Robertson, this time from a woman who reported that her friend, “Eugene,” had just shot at her apartment. The woman said Robertson knocked on her front door, and when she refused to open it, fired at the door twice. He also shot once through a sliding glass door into the woman’s apartment, where multiple people were present. Robertson lived in the same apartment complex, which is located less than a mile from Alameda and Buckley. Officers found the Audi that witnesses had said was involved in the two previous incidents parked nearby. While investigating the shooting at the complex, police spotted Robertson, who tried to escape on foot by running through a bush. When he emerged from the bush, an officer shot at him and missed. Robertson was then arrested. “During his arrest, Eugene said he was not physically hurt, but his ‘feelings were hurt,’” the affidavit said. Officers also learned that Robertson had an outstanding warrant in connection with a March 2021 case where Robertson was allegedly involved in a vehicle crash and shooting, fled the scene, removed or lost his pants and flagged down an Aurora police officer, who arrested him on suspicion of illegally possessing a firearm. Police wrote in the arrest affidavit associated with that case that Robertson said he had consumed marijuana and alcohol prior to encountering officers, which would have been a violation of a prior Arapahoe County court order. “Robertson also spontaneously uttered that he was wearing white Nike tennis shoes and blue jeans prior to our arrival,” the 2021 affidavit says. The same affidavit mentions that Robertson had previously served an 84-month sentence for felony distribution of crack cocaine, making it illegal for him to possess a firearm. Robertson’s 2021 case remains open, while his sentencing for the recent convictions is scheduled to take place Aug. 9. “It’s a miracle no one was seriously hurt or killed,” prosecutor Taylor McCreary said in the Thursday news release from the DA’s office. “This defendant endangered countless lives that night by recklessly firing a gun.”
  4. Found guilty. Who would've guessed meth had a role in this killing, especially in Oklahoma? https://people.com/oklahoma-man-killed-friend-believed-wanted-feed-bigfoot-8635532 A man who claimed he killed his friend because he believed the victim was summoning Bigfoot was convicted of murder. Larry Doil Sanders was found guilty by an Oklahoma judge April 17, according to reports from The Oklahoman, The Ada News and KXII. Jimmy Knighten was strangled to death in July 2022 while out fishing with Sanders, the outlets reported. After waiving a right to a jury trial, Sanders’ attorney reportedly claimed that his client had acted in self-defense. The Oklahoman reported that Sanders claimed during testimony that while out noodling with Knighten, he had seen three sasquatch-looking figures by the river. Witnesses for the prosecution testified that Sanders had said he believed Knighten was trying to kill him and send his body down the river as a sacrifice to Bigfoot, reported The Oklahoman. The paper reported that a forensic psychiatrist testified that Sanders was suffering from methamphetamine-induced psychosis and believed he was defending himself. Knighten died following a fight, during which Sanders put him in a chokehold, KXII reported. The outlets report that Sanders faces up to life in prison without parole. "Jimmy truly enjoyed anything and everything outdoors,” Knighten’s obituary reads. “He loved to fish, hunt game, ride four-wheelers, and most of all drink his beer around a big bonfire. Jimmy never met a stranger, and would give anyone the shirt off his back. Jimmy died sacrificing himself for the big man himself, Mr Bigfoot.”
  5. This is what happens when the majority of the US who were C average students vote fellow dipshits into office. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2024/04/new-hampshire-republicans-polio-mmr-measles-vaccine-antivax-bill/ New Hampshire could soon beat Florida—known for its anti-vaccine Surgeon General—when it comes to loosening vaccine requirements. A first-in-the-nation bill that’s already passed New Hampshire’s state House, sponsored only by Republican legislators, would end the requirement for parents enrolling kids in childcare to provide documentation of polio and measles vaccination. New Hampshire would be the only state in the US to have such a law, although many states allow religious exemptions to vaccine requirements. Currently, Republicans control New Hampshire’s state House, Senate and governor’s office—but that isn’t a guarantee that the bill will be signed into law, with GOP Gov.
  6. Didn't know where else to put this and didn't want to start a new thread. People suck. Video in the link. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/people-caught-on-camera-pulling-bear-cubs-from-trees-in-north-carolina/ar-AA1ns4oS State officials in North Carolina are investigating after a group of people were captured on video yanking black bear cubs from a tree to take a selfie. Video obtained the USA TODAY Network shows four people, including what appears to be an older woman, trying to grab two black bear cubs, perched on a tree branch extending over a short fence to the apartment property. An older man with gray and white hair stands close by in a baseball cap watching the melee and does not intervene. At one point, one of the woman successfully gets ahold of one cub, and screams in excitement. After apparently taking pictures holding the cub, an animal shrieking noise is heard, and the bear drops to the ground. The cub then runs along the inside of the fence and tries to climb it as the woman chases after it. According to a release from the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, a bear cub bit one of the people during the interaction. As of Friday, officials had not publicly identified the individuals involved.
  7. Holy fucking shit!!!!! Only in America. Texas represent! 7 yr old, at the time, kid shoots sleeping man just because. https://www.statesman.com/story/news/state/2024/04/22/texas-boy-fatally-shot-man-2022-gonzales-county-brandon-oquinn-rasberry/73410822007/ According to the Gonzales County sheriff's office, the child's confession came after officials in the Nixon-Smiley Consolidated Independent School District said the boy had referenced the killing and made new threats. That's when school officials involved law enforcement officers, who interviewed the boy at a child advocacy center. “During the interview the ten year old child described in detail that two years ago he shot and killed a man in a trailer in Nixon, Texas,” a sheriff’s office release said. Brandon O'Quinn Rasberry, 32, died in his RV home in Nixon after being fatally shot on Jan. 18, 2022. Until last week, the case had gone cold. But now the 10-year-old child has provided law enforcement with more details about the crime he claims to have committed. The boy told law officers he didn’t know Rasberry and was not angry at him at the time of the shooting. He was visiting his grandfather at the mobile home park, according to the sheriff’s office, and grabbed a gun from his grandfather’s truck. “The Child stated he observed Brandon sleeping in his bed and approached Brandon and discharged the firearm into Brandon striking him one time in the head,” the release said. “The child stated as he was leaving the RV he discharged the firearm another time into the couch inside the RV.” Law enforcement later retrieved the gun from a pawn shop as evidence and collected shell casings from the mobile home park. The boy has undergone mental health evaluation and treatment, according to the sheriff's office. “At the time of the murder the juvenile suspect was seven years old, one week shy of his 8th birthday,” the release said. “Therefore charges for murder will not be filed.” However, authorities have charged the child in connection with a recent incident in which he is accused of threatening another student. The sheriff's office said that threat soon spiraled into the confession to killing Rasberry. According to the confession, the boy had no known reason to kill Rasberry. "The child was also asked if he was mad at Brandon for some reason or if Brandon had ever done anything to him to make him mad, the child stated no," the release said.

    Mexican

We tried Este a 2 weeks ago. Very meh, imo. Ceviche was bland. Skate was cook well and tasted great but seasoning was meh. Octopus was ok. Swordfish fish tacos were good. We had another dish which was so forgettable that I forget what the hell it was. Sucks bc we've been wanting to try it ever since we saw the below show on it. I'll stick to Perla's and Clark's for seafood.
  9. Interesting... https://www.kxan.com/news/local/travis-county/person-who-filed-petition-to-remove-travis-county-da-steps-forward/ In the statement, Dupuis said she was sexually assaulted. She claims a friend of Garza represents the person who sexually assaulted her. Dupuis alleged that during the sexual assault investigation, Garza’s office “destroyed evidence, ignored multiple confessions from the perpetrator, and openly mocked me during a hearing to discuss why they declined to prosecute,” the statement reads. KXAN reached out to Garza’s office for a response to these allegations but has not heard back yet. Dupuis said in her statement: “I am not a Republican, and certainly not MAGA. I have not been paid by anyone and filed this petition at great personal risk. In fact [sic] did not have an active voter registration during the primary election and had not had one since 2007.” A citation issued by the court requires Garza to appear May 16 in a Travis County district courtroom for a hearing on the case. edit: The reddit thread has some interesting info, especially her twitter. She is.....interesting.
  10. Annual rollercoaster can't come crashing down if it first doesn't go way, way up. Why stop at 8-4? The bottom is the same every time. Predict 12-0. No one will remember.
  11. I don't care about the in-fighting and drama between posters. It's the internet. I, like most, come here for information and wade through the drama. But Jesus Christ, you know better than to post shit like this. "Hey guys, there's something interesting on the internet!!!" That's basically your post.
  12. I'll go ahead and say it, the Multiverse thing is stupid af. I can't even remember when it was first introduced, Spiderman maybe? At this point, I don't give a shit who's coming from where and especially don't care to try to map out how they relate to anything or each other. Basically the gist is none of anything matters because there are a gazillion different realities and there's going to be a war to save all the other gazillion realities that I don't give a fuck about.
  13. A&M football, meet fan apathy. Those MAC conference portal transfers aren't exciting the fan base?
  14. There are only two DeAndre Moore (WR) and Trey Moore (eDgE) but I have no idea which he's talking about. I'm thinking maybe Derrick Moore from Mich?
  15. This is what bothers the fuck out of me. It's not like the secondary was seeing routes and plays which they had never seen. They've seen the same routes and plays for 14 practices. Either our secondary coaches REALLY suck at teaching or our DBs are REALLY fucking stupid.
  16. I thought they were on 5 year probation. Just looked it up. Incident happened in fall 2018. They were put on 6 year probation. I'm not premed but I think this spring does not equal 6 year.
  17. Just again fucking the same Haitian prostitute who gave us herpegonorrsyphillaids last time.
  18. That last play was mostly on Sark. That was his BEST play call for a must have TD play? We showed in the scrimmage today a much higher percentage play. But Quinn and Mitchell didn't do that play any favors. Lazy execution on route running and lazy throw.
  19. We saw a glorified practice. Sark has seen 3 weeks of Qb play. I'm sure Sark is going to ruin his coaching career and our first year in the SEC because he is stupid and starts Quinn over the opinions of internet coaches.
  20. So....we need to find some safeties who know what the fuck they are doing. Also, are there any really good DB coaches in the portal?
  21. And by everyone, they mean the 250 people who showed up.
