See, guys…he doesn’t OPENLY root for Russia to steamroll Ukraine and have total military success against the west from the Baltic on down. Nope. He just opposes every single measure, step, or action that might stand in the way of or impede in any way Russia doing just that.
And you morons can’t see the clear difference. Brain worms.he's just asking questions.

That sucks. I feel for you. Losing a close friendship is never easy, but sometimes there are reasons it’s untenable and this seems like one of those times.
I know I'm carpet bombing this thread right now, but thanks. I'm going to grieve for a day or two but it's time to move on. I will find other straight guys that are cool as shit that like to do cool shit with a cool lesbian and aren't lost. at our age, life long friends are a misnomer. friends come and go now. that's just reality. I have 4-5 life long friends that have stuck with me and that's just it, and I'll protect those to the death, but this guy is a 7-8 year friend and he's gone.

stay vigilant with your family and kids and friends that are not lost. stay close to them. especially the little ones. there ARE social media channels out there trying to get young white males to dive head first into the Q world. it's quite dangerous.

I'm not, we had a conversation that was not expected last night and the friendship ended over text this morning. I'm just sharing with y'all now.

this was my fav -
him: got it, groomers aren't a big deal.
me before: for every one drag queen or trans person that has abused a child or attempted to groom a child there are thousands of family members, pastors, scout leaders and dare I say little league coaches that have done the same.
wait, fav was this -
him: oh, y'all are on the same team?
me before: no, trans people are our people.
him before that: you know the L's, G's and B's don't like the T's.
* you read that right, i'm not out to him.
another fav -
him: why would he want that? I didn't see that.
me before: did you know Ken Paxton asked TxDOT for the names of every person in texas that changed their gender on their DL in the last two years?
to be fair, he did later say, no one should get between a patient and their doctor - abortion and trans kids included. he was adamant about that.

It’s futile but tell him you’ll watch 2000 mules if he watches selections from the J6 hearings.
This one is testimony from the known RINO, deep state democrat, and trump appointed AG Bill Barr
I generally steer the discussion to questions like:
Why would barr tell trump the election stolen stuff was bullshit?
I try to end the debate with humor by saying how the democrats really suck at stealing elections because they let the mitch and lindsay get re-elected.
the frontline documentary is essentially the story of the J6 hearings and the narrative of the indictment. He's already refused. see my post detail about the difference in evidentiary quality of 2000 mules and the Frontline doc.
he's gone. like in the walking dead, he's a zombie, there is no cure.

Near to this is the economic situation we are in. This has been my sense when we all repeat "they're voting against their interests!" It comes off as snobbish to me -- I know what you need and you couldn't possibly understand. A lot these Trumptards are the losers of our society, so they vote for firebombing our society. A chance that chaos ends up somehow benefitting is better than a status quo where they already know they will always lose, or so the mindset goes.
This is a new. We used to have substantial economic mobility (a.k.a. "The American Dream"). Not so much anymore.
You can't grind your way out of losing any more. So why should we expect loyalty to the system?
i think there are definitely headwinds right now for folks that make it harder, but I'm a fucking trans woman that does very well for myself and my family and I grind like a mother fucker. there are still numerous ways to make it. not as many, but numerous.

I have a friend like this, a guy I played sports with and did all the sporty esprit-de-corps things with. So we've been tight, almost lifelong friends. He's a self-described libertarian that has gone way down the conspiracy rabbit hole and is now basically working to try to bring about the downfall of the US. His legitimate business failed and he is rebounding by starting a podcast and writing two books simultaneously "with the help of AI." It's all aimed at promoting conspiracies and at least indirectly undermining confidence in our governmental institutions. His social media used to be full of stuff about sports and his kids and real life. Now it's just a stream of conspiracy nonsense that no one reacts to. It's like he's posting in a vacuum.
Last time I saw him, I just hugged him and told him I loved him and said that if he ever wants to come back I'll help him. He just blinked in surprise and said, "I love you, too man, but... what do you mean? Come back from what?"
we just got into a text convo that ended like this basically. and I just put our texts on mute and his insta on mute. I can receive calls, text messages and DMs but if he abuses it, I'll end it. It's so sad, I was so loving and he's so fucking mad at me right now. he's demanding I look at his crap and he won't look at mine and he just blasted Frontline as a media conspiracy against the truth.
Here's the thing, the shit they watch - like 2000 mules - and Frontline without a discriminating eye look similar. Introduction of the evidence usually with a person talking, show the evidence, explain what the evidence concludes with a person talking, period. Next chapter, introduction of the evidence, show the evidence, explain the evidence, period. Repeat until the story is told. But 2000 mules doesn't have evidence it has information that is explained to fit the narrative. The evidence is a woman at 1am dropping off 4 votes with a mask on. See, she's a mule, who votes at 1am? who wears a mask? who votes 4 times? What if she's a shift worker? What if she's taking her elderly mom and dad's vote and her husband's vote? what if she's got a mask because of COVID? none of that matters. geo fencing, people driving by voting drops 28 times and going to get out the vote non-profit shams! They have like 3 videos of voter drop offs and claim thousands of mules. It's unreal what gets by these people.
Frontline on the other hand, a journalist introduces the evidence, the evidence is under oath witness testimony, then that witness explains in their own words on the show, then back to their under oath testimony, then a picture of trump from the national archives on the phone with people in the room from that conversation, then the indictment in words, then the commentator to draw the conclusion, period. You know, real evidence.
You know what I'm going to do?
I'm going to double down on my kids. that's what i'm going to do.

I’m so behind the trends. I have a tailor in my contacts and actually use her and on the rare occasion that I need to wear a tie I don’t wear it down to my scrotum.
To be fair it does come below your waist to your 20 something year old scrotum level amirite? If so you just haven’t adjusted for age and gravity- that’s a forgivable sin.

There's a lot of that mindset on both sides of the political spectrum.
Atlantic: The Americans Who Need Chaos.
The interesting difference - at least to me - is legal disenfranchisement of liberal burn it to the ground groups versus perceived disenfranchised white male burn It to the ground types - unless the corruption is so complete we have no hope. It leads to false equivalency arguments - they are all corrupt.
But when I say Ken Paxton is demanding DL data on gender changes he’s unaware, when I explain one party wants me dead he disagrees with that party and is unfazed. They are all corrupt makes Trump’s brazen corruption and criminality garden variety because they all are.
hey I’m just asking questions. It’s like they go to school to have talking points.
in the end politicians are complicated, all want power some wield it more elegantly others with brut force and blood thirst for more. I see a distinct difference but he does not so full circle if they are all the same give me the guy that screams the other side is corrupt the loudest. I guess.

Ultimately, every "libertarian" is a conservative who leans fascist. It's the most confounding thing, but we see it here all the time.
I think for this guy it’s pure libertarianism and then belief that every part of the government needs to be severely constrained due to corruption. The deep state triangulation by Trump to capture guys like him and then activating them on election denialism snagged him. Basically captured by rhetoric. He’s honestly more of an anarchist libertarian than a fascist. Until now I had no proof and hoped he was a misguided naive guy - in the end libertarianism is the political philosophy of the naive, but maybe that’s why so many got snagged.
1 minute ago, GenXer said:The messaging to libertarians is: your vote for a republican is for government to control your reproductive healthcare. You want the government to tell you what to do with your genitals? Hell no. Vote for RFK jr. Dilute the republican vote to the 3rd party candidate.
I’m pretty sure he does not vote at all. I could be wrong. But I like your angle.

Sorry to hear that. It's always tough when it's someone you know and care about, that you absolutely know should know better. But it's such a delicate tightwire act. You can't just shake 'em and say "snap out of it!" And you can't just ignore it and pretend everything is precisely the same between you.
I’m thinking about putting together a 2000 mules rebuttal and saying man let’s watch the movie together talk about it then read a few articles (like 10 of them) that have specific critiques or the news that true the vote admitted it had no evidence in court, etc then talk about it.
I don’t know. He’s hard to the paint libertarian hates the corruption. Look there’s tons of it, I agree. But then it’s over get rid of all of them. Ugh.

A dear friend came over today to talk about the bullshit of youth little league - his give back is to coach the coachless worst team in 10U. No draft protected players, no dads to coach them, some have never picked up a bat. He and I coached together. He’s a good fucking dude. He’s taught me self defense (with a gun), I taught him the joy of fly fishing, he’s talked to me about how he feels and has cried in front of me. Anyway he’s a GOOD friend. He came came over to vent about some shit and I found out ….. he’s hard core Q.
“Dude just watch 2000 mules…”
We talked for 3 hours.
the worst part, his parents had him and his family in a self described cult as a kid obviously without his consent. He got out. But now he’s back in.
my heart hurts.
He’s very worried about sleeper cell violence November 2024. he left my house and I looked at him and hugged him and I said, dude, the only people you can harm are those that try to harm your wife and kids. Promise me you will not do something like go to the capitol. He said he plans to take his family to his ranch for a few months if shit gets wild.
We are so fucked.

we can think they are dumbasses and started it but jesus just because we hate oklahoma doesn't mean the rules of the game don't apply. you bomb a government building and kill senior leaders I don't care who the opponent is, could be the miami hurricanes shock the nation and you should understandably expect a response. the fact that the US was able to negotiate that response with a sworn enemy is fucking phenomenal.
