  1. my offense is straight dog shit as well. maybe we can battle all season for shittiest offense ever crown.
  2. damn, one of the most prolific posters on this site is permabanned and i don't know a single thing about it for two weeks until i see it mentioned in passing on another thread? i clearly don't keep up with the day to day around here as much as i used to.
  3. this doesn't appear to have a lot of legs this year, but just in case we end up having a contest this year i am picking New Orleans and Golden State tonight.
  4. We can, it will just be one more external scoring piece that will need to be added but its no big deal on my end to do so. 3 extra points for predicting the correct number of games the series lasts (must also have the winner). after round 1, you have to have the correct matchup in order to be eligble for the bonus (example if okc beats dallas in 6 in round two but you had picked okc over the clippers in 6, you get the points for okc winning but not the bonus for correctly picking the correct # of games). I'm assuming the brackets have to be completed on espn.com by tip off on saturday, but the contest will start here tomorrow by posting your picks for winners of tomorrow night's play-in games.
  5. just plan on having the #9 pick and being pleasently surprised if it's any better than that.
  6. $25 entry fee, winner take all. gonna use espn.com to keep track of picks this year. we'll use their scoring with one slight modifcation 1) play in games. post your picks for every play in game on this thread. every correct pick = 3 point bonus. there will be a total of 6 play in games so that's a possible 18 extra points on whatever your final score on espn.com is. join here, password is muledick: https://fantasy.espn.com/free-prize-games/sharer?challengeId=244&from=espn&context=GROUP_INVITE&edition=espn-en&groupId=a749ec10-87f9-44be-bdb3-f6872faf5bc0&joinKey=d59243ae-fe43-3f51-8bc5-4bdf9bda269f once you've joined, hit me up if you need my venmo/paypal/cashapp info.
  7. Holloway was easily winning. I suppose someone could have been generous and given Gaethje a round if they wanted, but Max dominated the whole fight....and then punctuated it with 1 second to go.
  8. i'm very high on Sierra Leone as well. would love to get to Keenland one day.
  9. all payouts have now been sent. congrats to the three winners and i'll see you all for bowl season!
  10. have paid out @Welshy and @kingkoopa6 because venmo makes it easy to find the info of people who have previously sent money in that manner. have requeted paypal info from @Harrison Stafford and will pay him out as soon as i have it.
  11. just want to give all of the soon to be winners a heads up that i have started the process of transfering all of the entry fees over from the various places they were sent. i will be in new orleans for work today - thursday (heading to the airport in a matter of minutes) so i am planning on sending payouts on friday of this week.

i for the most part agree with you, but do really enjoy "this life."
  13. i'm not going to pretend to know anything about the foreign guys or the g-leaguers, but based upon the guys i've seen in college this year i'd be fine with: 1. Donovan Clingan - think he'd be a perfect backup to Sengun and provides a defensive presence that Sengun lacks 2. Rob Dillingham - electric scorer. may profile to a 6th man/Lou Williams type of role, but that's fine the Rockets don't need this pick to be a star 3. Cody Williams - defensive wing who can be Tari Eason insurance 4. Jared McCain - would fill a similar role to the one mentioned for Dillingham. better size and probably a better shooter, but more of a one dimensional scorer than Dillingham 5. Dalton Knecht - another scorer, who could start or come off the bench 6. Stephon Castle - big, defensive guard with questionable jump shot. sort of in the Amen Thompson mold though obviously not as athletic. Given that there should be several foreign and g-league guys picked in the top 10, my assumption is that it is very likely that at least one of these guys will be available whenver the Rockets pick.

can't wait to dive into the new Phosphorescent this evening.
  15. In the past four seasons McDermott has won a game in the tournament every season, been to 3 Sweet Sixteens and 1 Elite Eight. I wouldn't thumb my nose at him.
  16. that's not a bad idea since people can't update their picks once the contest begins. i think we should implement a refund for the last place finisher next year.
  17. nice first outing from chris sale: 5.1ip, 2er, 5h, 7k, 2bb. if he can be good (and healthy( this year then the braves will have a very formidable top 3 in the rotation.
  18. whoops - thought i posted this the other day but i guess i didn't. i show 57 paid entries. payouts to the top 3 finishers should be: 1st - $855 2nd - $513 3rd - $342
  19. i have a hard time believeing that Tszyu is going to be able to make it through this.
  20. took my nephews (aged 4, 5, and 6) to it this afternoon and we all had a great time. it was super fun to watch it sort of through their eyes. anytime something big would happen i'd glance over at them and they were all blown away. i grew up loving ghostbusters so i love that they love it too. they're obviously not the original but i think rudd, coon, and grace are doing a very solid job with their roles as the new generation. especially mckenna grace. i asked all of my nephews who their favorite ghostbuster was after the movie and they all said phoebe. i actually liked it slightly better than afterlife and agree that kumar was fantastic in his side-role.
  21. 30 point second half for jalen green. agreed that he needs to be better from the free throw line.
