Bijan isn’t fast, explosive or elusive. He’s a glider with some one-cut ability, but definitely not the best RB recruit in the nation.  Pretty disappointed, but we really aren’t utilizing his 1 or 2 strengths in this offense.

Not going to blame our RBs when our OL is so visibly terrible at zone blocking.

...except maybe Ingram. Hang on to the fucking ball, dude.

Lol well this is fucking dumb. He’s still 2 weeks post getting turned into a Japanese paper fan and is running behind our equally paper thin Oline.

Travis Etienne would look bad in our offense but is a great fit in Clemson's.  Bijan would be perfect fit in that offense.

“That offense”, you mean any offense where the players are well coached and execute consistently?

If you put Bijan in a rubber suit and coated him in KY he would still get tackled trying to run behind our shit soaked toilet paper of a line.

If you can't tell the problem is our line and not our RB room (besides Ingram fumbling) you should really learn football.

Yep--just tempering people's expectation on our players.  The coaching is more in question than the players, but that could easily change for the worse so that they equal.

Lol. Bijan looked pretty awesome on the touches he got on Saturday I thought. Sometimes I can't tell if y'all are either not watching the games or getting too drunk to remember what happened.

In all fairness to them, it might be both. The lines get blurry...

How are we judging RBs these days? Earl and Ricky won one Heisman each, but it took the two of them together to equal the total of one Archie Griffin. He must have been the fastest, explosivest and elusivest of all.

I think Bijan put the not being fast to bed last night. Dude is electric and should be the face of Texas and college football the next two seasons.

He’s amazing, but he’s still doesn’t have long speed. He got tracked down multiple times last night. If anything, he confirmed it not put it to bed. Doesn’t really matter though. He’s still elite.

Yeah, a play like this reads to me as elite acceleration, not speed

Plenty of elite pro RBs don’t/didnt have great top end speed. Not a necessary trait, good bonus obviously

Bijan reminds me of Arian Foster. Doesnt have the complete top end speed but great blend of gliding, acceleration, power and most importantly vision

Emmitt Smith was not a RB with speed... but he had a decent career in the NFL behind an amazing O-line. 😋

Not many RB's are going to break away from a 4 star CB with an angle like Gonzalez. Bijan doesn't have Jamaal speed but there are only a handful over the years who do.

Reminds me a lot of Demarco Murray.

I compared him before to D'onta Foreman for the same reasons.  Yours might be a better comparison.  I don't get the Adrian Peterson comparison.  But, he can torch you on flare routes like OU did with AD and Demarco Murray.

Bijan's cutting ability is insane.  Unlike anybody I can think of.  A lot of his big runs late in the season started off tackle, then he'd find a seam, burst through it, and leave the front 7 in the dust.  Against KState, there was a TD where he was running at full speed to the endzone with an LB approaching from the side; he makes a subtle side-step and the LB doesn't even touch him.  Unreal.  If he had elite top-end speed, imo, he'd be a once in a decade type of player (looking at you Jamaal, Adrian).  Then again, elite top-end speed might negate some of the attributes that make Bijan so special.

If he had Jamaal Charles top end speed at 225 lbs with everything else he can do, he’d be the best running back any of us has ever seen.

Without eugenics that isn't happening.  Let's enjoy the 90% perfect face of our program while we have him.

Jamaal ran a 10.18 while doing track as a hobby.   He could’ve been an Olympian if he was from a country other than the US or Jamaica, and if he had focused on it he might have been able to make a relay team for one of those countries.  The list of humans that has his top end speed at any given moment in time is probably less than 50.

To think this dude's asshole touches the back of his helmet against tech and he was like Meh. That would paralyze 99% of us. He's a freak of nature.

Here come the pussies crying about a perfectly reasonable post.

If you're so scared of everything that you were nervous that Bijan Robinson was transferring after the deadline so he'd have to sit out a season in his contract year after recently signing a huge and public NIL deal with a local Lamborghini dealership then the problem isn't a thread being posted on, the problem is that you're a giant pussy.

What does his being at an nba game have to do with recruiting?

I have a massive man crush for this guy. He’s everything you want in a Texas player/RB.

It’s driving me crazy, though. I can’t identify an NFL back that he’s like. He’s not quite as shifty as Barry Sanders. Who is it?

One interesting trait about him. He always seems like he’s running at 3/4 speed, yet he just works his way thru traffic. Never seen anything like it. Maybe that’s his super power. Vision.

Why do you need to compare him to a former player? That obsession, and it's everywhere in sports, is so weird.
