After watching the first three plays of his huddle, I'm thinking he's an extraterrestrial. Anyone who has ever played defense has dreamed of making those pics and taking them to the house.

The way he sniffs out the screen at 0:31 and the read he makes on the pass to the end zone at 1:35 are just unreal. His instincts definitely look like they're absurdly good.

If/When JoJo Earle comes to Texas, he will be our HWR.

Hot damn!  Haven't been following recruiting much lately but if there's a JoJo Earle out there he has to be a Horn. That's a freakin awesome name. If I wasn't so damn old I'd try for another boy just so I could name him JoJo Earle.

Don’t care what any of you think of him. Has Daddy98 broken down the film yet?

”Looks to me like a good get. Okay speed average instincts. Could probably play offense, average defense. Good hands. Not high ceeling but will be ok player for tu. Kind of Toyota Camry type

and sun of a gun prob 4.6 speed but not SEC fast like us

Jimbo didn’t push for him So that is all that I need to know  we have the CB target from NJ

Not sure why this young man would Waste his career playing for Vodka Tom   But than again some kids are weird and like weird vibes from that city”

Misspell a couple more things and add some drunken rambling and it’s dead on

Wherever Bowman plays, he will succeed. He's a goddamn ghost on the football field. There are intangibles in him that haven't been on campus in many years. The only thing he lacks is mass. He will grow between now and his freshman year in college. He will grow more with Yancy putting him through S&C.

I'm way more excited for defense than offense. It will be much easier for us to find explosive, fast, and quick players that we can scheme to get open on offense. The innate instincts to create turnovers and defensive havoc is basically witchcraft, and the ability to truly turn a game on its head is much more valuable, IMO.

Damn, that’s an amazing tape, and he has two more years of HS ball? I’m getting old what’s the old recruiting bit, he’s a three-play player? You put on the film, watch three plays and turn off the projector, you’re already sold? It took me two plays to be absolutely convinced he’s a take and special, jumping that route on the Pick 6 is ridiculous.

Can we find a way to stash him the next two years?

There are some guys that are just flat out good at football.  They have instincts that other players don't.  Guys like Sterns, Smith, Whittington, Foster have a natural feel for the game.  You combine that with elite athleticism and you get guys like these that can make immediate impacts on your roster.  Bowman is this type of player in my opinion.  He has elite speed and will have a filled out frame by the time he's a freshman here to go along with his ability on offense, defense, and special teams.

He's a better version of D'Shawn Jamison at this point in their careers in my opinion, and Jamison was a high caliber recruit.  Jamison has elite quickness and can play offense, defense, and be a return man on special teams.  I think Bowman will be used in a similar manner as nickel, on jet sweeps, and as a return specialist.  I just think he has a more natural feel for the game than Jamison and has more "wiggle" than Jamison on offense and special teams.  The speed, size, and skillset is comparable.

That is 5 star caliber tape against good HS competition.  It's clear most of the recruiting services did little to no homework on him and are just now giving him a bump.

I'm not sure about this guy. He seems decent at making 6-point plays, but that highlight vid was completely devoid of 2-point plays. It'd be great if he were more well-rounded and able to get safeties and conversions instead of all those touchdowns.

He appears to have addressed this concern.

I'm gonna say they'll let him play whatever the fuck he wants and he'll be a horn at the end of the day. Wishful thinking, but dude bleeds orange. I hope.

here's to Whittington and Smith going off Saturday as we roll and actually get a blowout win.. Please Tom, raise the bumpers/take off the training wheels.. let yurcich call his Madden 17 offense
