OU is 129/130 in penalty yards, averaging 90.75 penalty yards per game with 33 penalties recorded over 4 games.

The Texas average is 53 ypg with 24 penalties recorded over the last 4 games, 10 of those coming from the attempted robbery in Morgantown.

Some of us watched the refs make call after call against Kansas to help OU out. That shit won't fly here.

Every year, I tell myself, "This is the year I don't drink during the ou game." This year, I'm using reverse psychology on myself, and I've already bought my pre-pregame 6-pack of dark beer, my pregame rum and my in-game whiskey. I've also got some Royal Madre sativa to chill my out during commercial breaks. I've even got a couple of bumps of you know what ready if an emergency comes up. And some blubirds. So I think it is a safe but I will be drug and alcohol free for this game. Finally.

Friday Reminder @JFKFC

Go buy more real liquor for blOU game...

I didn't see the game but read later that Hurts threw some bad balls, to the potential of 3 INTs and one pick-six, had KU's DBs been able to catch them.

The refs also called KU for "late hit out of bounds" when OU was way behind the sticks and would have had a hard time getting a first down. Problem was, the play was still live and the player was still in bounds. Refs gave zero fucks.

Yeah that was bullshit. You are just not allowed to hit fancy OU QBs.

If I'm a Texas fan, I'm loving it.  It takes all the pressure off the UT players shoulders (while putting all the pressure on the OU players shoulders) and replaces it with a giant chip.   Texas plays its best games and upsets Okie when they are big underdogs in this game.

The guy who dropped the pick six had a cast on his hand, iirc

The land thieves have 44 players from Texas on their roster. Do they not have high schools in Oklahoma?

OU is the closest major Power 5 team to most of the players in the Metroplex. (Not by much, but they are still slightly closer.)

Plus:

Texas population: 28,701,845

Oklahoma population: 3,943,079

With over 7 times the population, I'm thinking that Oklahoma feels that there are plenty of players in Texas for everyone to have some.

Put a spy on Hurts / randomly blitz from OU offense's right side / otherwise play like you've been playing / Horns win straight up, going away.  Check highlights of 2017 Bama at Auboogers.  Hurts was hapless; got so rattled at crunch time he rolled out backwards and ran out of bounds for a ten yard loss on 3d down and NEVER EVEN THREW THE BALL AWAY, leaving us at 4th and 20.  He's poised until he's rattled.  There's your game.  I'm saying Horns by 13.

In honor of J.D. (God rest his soul), here's the link to his classic thread "The Top 10 OU Meltdowns in the Little Bobby Stoops Era." It doesn't exactly belong here, but it doesn't really belong anywhere. So fuck it.  Be careful, it's my understanding the current owner of the site has a scat-porn fetish.

Has it been discussed anywhere the curse of the #11 ranking in this game?

The only time I thought about it was when I saw Auburn lost and hoped we might move up to #10 to avoid it...but then Rape U...um...the Rape U in Pennsylvania jumped us.

Since then my pure hate and irrational rage had driven it from my mind.

I am glad the day after this game is Sunday because after I have been twisted by wishing death on so many Okies up to and during the game I need Jesus.

Fuck OU.

And considering how hard OU sucks and the proximity of Dallas to the border, it is only natural that some poor Texans get caught in the current.

“We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.”

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

OU's starting kicker is suspended. Their backup has only attempted 3 FG attempts and all within 35 yards. Will be interesting if Riley trusts him or if this will be a 4 down territory type game.

Supposedly both of their starting tackles are out with injuries as well.

Interesting if true.

This. The funniest thing about Hurts's "I played in the Iron Bowl, I think I'll be fine" quote is the fact that he only played in an Iron Bowl in front of a hostile crowd one time (2017), and that... didn't go well. 12/22 passing for 112 yards, 1TD/O Int. 18 carries, 82 yards rushing, 0 TD. Bama lost 26-14. But yea Jalen, I'm sure you'll be fine. The Cotton Bowl will be nice and quiet while you're on the field.

Riley said "highly questionable," not out. How much you want to trust an OU injury report is up to you.

They might play but this isn't Riley playing mind games. They're banged up. Both missed the Kansas game and their reporters were saying they would probably miss the Texas game last week.

He answers like he's equating one big game to all big games. It's not about it being a "big game" you clown, it's a nasty rivalry that carries most emotional weight than most others. Like the Auburn game you pointed out.... where he sucked shit.

I forgot how sensitive some of you are. It's been awhile.

Maybe if your players didn't cramp-timeout and your coach didn't lie about the locker room A/C people would have a better opinion of you.
